You don't understand English? Look at your reply? I was referring to A while you are replying on B. Cheers?

A typical posting that adds to the confusion, rather than clarity. Are you only interested in talking to yourself? Kalimantan is in IT, if he were to bring out all the technical jargons in answering an IT question, then you wouldn't be able to understand a word of what he is saying as well. Cheers!

Thank you for the sharing. Speaking of love, here we have the magic of Karen Carpenter. Enjoy!

And for the music break... Incidentally, you might want to know that Teresa was much more famous in Japan, before she was in her native Taiwan. She influenced the generation of Japanese female singers, in how she pronounced and delivered the Japanese lyrics. Previously, the female Japanese singers would sing like a male. In this live performance, a rare mistake was captured of Teresa's singing towards the end of the song. So, what would the Golden Snake year bring us, other than the pouring rains? Enjoy! -

Thank you for the field report. I could google for what the Ziwei would cover. In your case, does it provide the timing or cycle (of the up and down of the respective category)? Cheers! -
Relocating Washroom
Lauer replied to siaoboy's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
Well, as Zdog put it aptly, the complexity depends on the layout. Generally, if you could visualize the public sewer line that crosses the land plot, the existing bathroom is typically on the bottom side of it. And so is the IC. If you want to relocate the bathroom on this side of the sewer line, then it would be easier. Probably incurring the same cost as Zdog's, as I haven't done it before. If you want to relocate the bathroom to upper side (of the sewer line), then it would be much costlier. There is the need of another IC on the upper side, as the drain pipe could not overlap above the public sewer line (as far as I know, other please comment if this is incorrect). There are also some discussions on the cost if it involves an RC trench here. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=58280&st=40 Cheers! -
I don't have the license to provide financial advice (as per MAS regulation), but would like to offer something which is often missing when people discuss property investment. A property could be an investment class; equity is another class, so is bond, gold etc. The difference between them is the level of risk inherent with each investment class. Whether an investment pays is all about the timing of the investment made, everything being equal. That is, assuming that the investment instrument is sound and is not a fraud. Especially for property investment, and other investment that is leveraged. Most people don't think too much about the leverage part of a property investment, because almost everyone they know of would buy property with a loan. Only the very rich would buy a property using cash without a loan. When you buy a condo of $800K, with a loan of $550K, so there is a leverage of more than 200%. You couldn't get this kind of leverage % in bond for example, which is considered a safer class. Neither in gold investment. The leverage % is almost on par with share financing, and share/stock is a much riskier class. After you bought it, and when the condo value goes up by $250K to a total of $1050K, then your paper gain becomes +100% when measured against the cash outlay of $250K. Conversely. After you bought it, and when the condo values falls by $250K, then your paper loss becomes -100%. If unfortunately you are forced to sell it, then the paper loss becomes a real loss. There you could see, when the timing is right, the profit is substantial. When the timing is wrong, the cash savings could be wiped out. How to get the timing right? No one could tell you precisely when. If I know it, then I wouldn't have the bother to write this post? Cheers!

Ba Zhi Analysis At Fu Lu Shou - My Experiences
Lauer replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
(First of all, I wish you and all readers a Happy & Prosperous New Year. Gongxi gongxi. We had pouring rains over the last two days, and I couldn't really recall the last tims it poured so much on the first day of Spring.) I have a slightly different approach to life destiny; life destiny in my context, not the one as defined by one's Bazi. I would think that, when one has received a proper education and grew up in conducive environment with good parental guidance, then he should possess a good value system. He would know what is right or wrong, he would respect the others and help the disadvanted, where possible, etc. In this context, I would think that how he seeks his life direction, what to do next, is a matter of getting the right timing. In other words, when you possess a good value system, what to do in your life is not a question of what, but when. As long as what you are trying to do would not bring down the family, would not cause any hardship to others. Life shouldnt be full of regrets..."I should have done this, could have done that...etc". So what if the step you took ended in a failure? This is what a life journey all about, about discovering who you are and what do you do in this earth. In ancient China, what people could do in their lifes were very restricted, compartmentalized. Farmers continued to farm, fishermen continued to fish etc all registered. Some professions, once registered, couldnt really be changed. Like stage perfromers, prostitutes etc. Want to be a carpenter? He would have to serve as an apprentice to a willing master, without pay for the first few years until he graduated. Until the tail end of Qing Dynasty, there was no vocational school, and the first was established by Christian mission. The only liberating avenue was education, to be a learned, to pass the Imperial Exam. Or to join the army, hopefully he would command it one day. Or to be a businessman, which until the Qing Dynasty a deplorable profession bringing shame to a family. It was only the emergence of the Shanxi trade group that businessmen started to be accepted. Under this kind of compartmentalized life, people sought to get the right timing to get married, to build a house (I doubt that there is this thing called a housing developer then), to sow the seedlings, to start a journey, even to start a fishing trip etc. All for the right timing. Even when getting a 'chiam' in a temple, one would have to ask if it was the right time by first throwing the dice (what is the correct word for it?).. So, I would think that one could get an answer of "is this the right timing" from a Bazi reading, but not the type of question like "should I start a gold mine in Myanmar?". Cheers! -
Ba Zhi Analysis At Fu Lu Shou - My Experiences
Lauer replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
I just speak as a layman. There is the future component in Bazi analysis. I would think that, psychologically, you would (or should) believe in life destiny before consulting for a Bazi reading. Because that is what it is all about, to understand your life destiny. And so, the act of consulting a FSM is destined, what kind of FSM you get to meet (good or bad, beneficiial or destructive) Is also destined? Therefore, I would find it slightly odd that, after consulting one, there is some second-guessings around? The Bazi methodology (again, I want to emphasize that I speak as a layman in case someone jumps) is structured, programmable, and so what is left should be the interpretation? (In this context, I thought that having a list of bad FSMs is quite appealing. I don't see the publisher as commercial driven. Publishing a list of good FSMs would sound commercialized). I read that in ancient China, the FSMs were those scholars who, unfortunately, for one reason or another, failed to pass the Imperial Exams. They were cultured and respected by people, and those gifted one would subsequently further evolve the FS, Bazi theories which are being used today. But FS, Bazi readings are big businesses today ($688 for a house audit?) Cheers! -
Enjoy!

Ba Zhi Analysis At Fu Lu Shou - My Experiences
Lauer replied to kalimantan's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Could I please borrow your thread to ask a question? TIA! What is the psychology of a person who did a Bazi anaylsis? The Bazi analysis would say not only the past, but also the future. The past couldn't be changed, but what do you do with the future component? Do you, for example, follow it when the future says that..."you would become rich opening a gold mine in Myanmar"? In my family archive, I could find my Bazi analysis written in a big piece of red paper, it was apparently done when I was a baby, with comments handwritten on it by my grandfather. The FSM wrote the analysis in beautiful handwriting, in a poem format, but I never got the chance to get someone to decipher the analysis in depth. But I do know that what happened in my life had been predestined. Not because of the Bazi analysis. Over the years, I would have dreams that provided snapshots of the future. These were not the ordinary dreams, because I could recall them vividly when I woke up, they were lucid. For example, one day I could be walking along a street in London and then suddenly realized that what I was seeking around me appeared in a dream before, and I could tell myself that..."in the dream, this door would open, a lady would walk out and then talk to the person standing there...", and then the scenario would next play out exactly as I stood watching. Anyway, the point to make is not about whether there is a supernatural ability, but the question of "what do you do with the future component of a Bazi analysis?". Cheers! -
One of favorite tv shows is Nomads Land (Travel Channel). In one episode, the host was traveling to Tibet. At the top of a mountain, he asked the monk, a lama, whether he heard of stories that some people claimed to be able to fly from one mountain to another. The lama said..."Yes, I could fly from here to there". Of course, the lama couldn't speak English but what he said was translated and displayed as subtitle. The host was smiling but he has this skeptical look on his face. I realized that that was not what the lama meant actually. He meant that, when meditates he is able to lift his spirit out of his physical body and his spirit then moves through the air. So, we have a true meaning that could be lost by translation. In the recent postings, I found out that a lot of true meanings got lost by translation. And Bepgof himself admitted tha he struggled with the English language, so let's keep this mind? And write in simple English. And speaking of simple English, there have not been a lot of pop bands that played music that you sort of grew up listening. The earlier Beatles songs have been written for those of 16-, 17-years olds, I supposed. But The Bee Gees' earlier songs could be sung along by the 10-, 11-years olds, and the later disco music as they grew up. Here are a couple of the earlier songs, great sounds, but the lyrics could be ? You have to transport yourself back to the age of 11-years old. But that's what a song is meant to be, to bring you back to the times when you first sang it. Enjoy!

We could do a case study when there is an opportunity. Thanks!

I am glad that you enjoyed the clips. In addition, I am hoping everyone of us could each take one step backwards, no matter what happened in the past. The clip that sent a chill to Bepgof is reattached below. It is a beautiful song sang by 李香蘭, she is Japanese but grew up in China in the 1930s and became one of Shanghai divas, performed songs which are classic today and also acted in movies It took me a while to find this clip, completely remastered by someone. It is a joy to hear it without all the noises that one would get hearing records produced in the 1940s or 1950s, that used to be played on big gramophone. Many singers sang the cover subsequently, including Teresa Teng, but none could transpire the emotion captured in the original. Here it is again. Enjoy!

And for the music break...from the best. Enjoy!

What could be meaningful? For the start, what are the traps? What are the myths of FS, Bazi? Cheers!

Nobody is asking you to be expelled; at least I didn't. In fact, you were the one who made the threat of calling in the cyber police? "Get a life" does not mean "Get lost". It means "Go do something meaniful in life"; such as telling a person who is obsessed with playing computer games 24-hours a day to get a life. When you possess superior knowledge of FS, Bazi etc, as you rightly claimed that you do, then I failed to see why your thoughts in, and interpretations of the subjects, couldnt make things clearer to the readers. Your readers are not the Kings & Queens of FS here, but posters who have questions of what to do with their FSs. They are many questions from posters about FS, even when they had consulted the FSMs. Why your postings could confuse them even more? If your approach is like..."aiyah, you don't know one la. I read the classical texts le, I know more than you la", then all I could say is that the approach is incorrect and just too bad that you are unable to share the FS, Bazi wisdoms that you have painfully gained. Cheers!

I found it odd that what you wrote (as above), what or how you think of other's motive, apply more to you. It is clear that you didn't get my point about intrusion. Let's take the story of Moses again. You are a christian, so everything inside the Bible must be the truth (I am not saying that it is not). So I could be a non-believer, a non-christian. And I came to you and stated that the Red Sea didn't part for Moses. It was not possible, etc etc and so on. I said "prove it to me that it happened". Now, of course you as a believer would feel annoyed because there is no scientific evidence to provide. Now, when I did it once, you would feel annoyed. When I did it for 3-4 years, then you would feel super super annoyed you would feel that I intruded in your belief.(Aren't these how you are feeling now, as you have written above?) The scenario described, is what you are doing to the FS believers. Get it? The point has nothing to do with whether you are superior in the knowledge of FS, Bazi etc. It is about how to behave to other people, about giving space for other's belief, about inclusiveness even when other's belief is different from yours. Look at the stories in Renotalk. Almost every home renovation is preceded by a FS consultation. We are speaking of tens of thousand FS consultations every year here. So, it serves everyone to have meaningful exchanges in the FS forum. So why don't you put your knowledge in good use? Cheers!
-
Are you making a threat? What cyber boss? I couldn't care less to be banned from Renotalk. You are a moderator, aren't you? Cheers!
-
Who is taichi? So, now you are a believer? LOL Cheers!

I thought that the sayings applied more to you than anyone in the FS forum. Obviously you have taken the bother to read the classical FS texts, a feat I must add. Now, normally there could be the following outcomes: - That you found FS credible and useful, and then apply it. - That you found FS incredible and garbage, and then just would have nothing to do with it anymore. Period. And if you became a believer, and you could be noble or helpful by contributing to the forum discussion, whether by imparting your knowledge or interpretation. What is utterly silly is to be a non-believer and then intrude in the discussion. I don't understand the motive. Did the Red Sea actually part for Moses? It is easy for anyone to say, "No, it shouldn't have happened". And yet, when you believe in God, that would have happened. Do you see the point? You have to believe in God, to believe that the Red Sea parted for Moses. There is no other way to believe that it happened. So, here is what you are doing for years, a non-believer of FS and yet intrude in the believers' discussion. Get a life, please. Cheers!

If I got the perspective right, the subject is on the side of the wall where the sink was. If so, then it should be structural; means it could not be removed. Anyone else got a different reading of the perspective? Cheers!
