Hi all, I'm been lurking around the forum for the last 6 months, and this forum has been very helpful and useful in providing ideas and feedback about various shops. My reno was completed 1 mth ago and I've moved it, many thanks to this forum. I would like to share my experience with one particular shop - Karoteak. This company is located in Bukit batok and a simple google search should tell u where it is. It sells teak furniture and so far I had nothing but trouble and delays and excuses from the boss Ismail. Ordered my furniture in late march and promised 8 week lead time - end of may. It has been delay since then with the boss evading my phone calls and if I managed to get hold of him, there will be only empty promises. It's already July and so far there's nothing in view - I even rang up their Indonesia number to look for ismail to chk out the status but the phoneline went dead in the middle of conversation and no one pickup with repeated re-calling. I will probably lodge a complain with case since they also refuse to give me a refund. Hence, whoever intends to get teak furniture from them, please beware and go with your eyes open. WT
