oh... i not very zai also... as mentioned, we also airconed the living area. were deciding between inverter and non inverter too. the salesperson says with our usage habit, a non inverter will be better for us... so we took non inverter. but we got a separate system for the living room... i also got the extended warranty. coz i was told normally the compressors are quite steady and seldom breakdown dat's why i asked this question... but too late since we've already gotten it... quite expensive for the extended warranty...

btw, do u all get extended warranty for the aircons?

i cant find Gaincity in Marina Sq! ended up we went to CCK to get it how come non inverter cannto do living room + 2 bedrooms?

i just got my Mitsubishi Aircon from Gain City after much raves abt their installation skills i got a non inverter system 1 + system 3. system 1 to cool the living/dining area while system 3 for the 3 bedrooms. not sure if the btu is big enuff. I've changed the copper pipings into a better one and a better insulation for additional $160. all in all, we paid 3.9k for the aircon. they waived 3% off since we asked for discounts. seems like prices are pretty rigid and no further discounts can be negotiated...

how to hang clothes if the pole is vertical? or u hang urself there?

ignore the L box then then 2 lights at the entrance and bomb shelter becomes one light in between the 2 lights and the rest at the false ceiling remains better?

not converting my house to disco use spotlight for wat? the dining area is actually rectangular i feel if use 4 downlights not enuff

er... wont on all the 6 downlights tog probably watching tv (if without L box) will just on 3 and when dining on another 3. something like that

anyhow draw... thot see where got space then put downlight din wanna have hanging light for the dining area though it will look nice but with space constraint, in case i wanna change the location of the dining table then with hanging lights cannot liaoz haiz... also dunno wat to do lah...

back from meetings er... downlights just for nice nia... most prob wont on each and every all the time not feasible?

some ideas i have for my lightings... not sure if it will be bright enuff at the dining area (area outside kitchen) brown rectangle is the divider and white circles are the downlights.

i'm not drunk coz totally no new experience so it's reasonable to get pay cut and somemore, this job doesnt really need a lot of technical knowledge. the lesser technical knowledge, u'll get paid lesser but considering the difference in pay for current and previous is just ard $150, i tink is still resonable loh i saw the training schedule for the germany trip. got one need to wake up 4 or 5am in the morning and ends at night! my boss might be going too... all the men... my lady colleague cannnot go coz throwing tender at that period of time. so either one of us must be around else we can go shopping and exploring tog during free time but the trip is not confirm yet lah... i mean not confirm that i'll be going. coz boss hasnt say anything leh though the colleague in charge asked me for my passport # and educational level. er... come back gotta write report and will be kena bond for at least 6 months hor

kastlekonfusion, interesting post of urs as to ur last question, probably i can share with u wat are the answers i got from the bank. my hubby and i had also made a deposit of $300 with Cozy Design at a Home Exhibition after much pressing from the salesperson. we signed and paid up without being told there were terms and conditions only realised the unfair t&c after we reached home and saw it. I called up the bank, requesting them to stop the payment since it is paid using credit card. the replies i gotta from them are: 1) the transaction is already done the moment we signed on the bill. the bank had already paid the merchant with the amount we signed on the bill 2) no way to retract the transaction unless the merchant agrees. however, one still has to pay for the monthly credit card bill that is reflected and the amount will only be refunded after the merchant did the refund with the bank 3) u can opt to bring this case up to CASE or small claims. but will need the card holder to do the appeal. Which merchant will allow for the refund of the deposits? i guess only a handful and those are mostly the honest ones. for the dishonest merchants (such as the one that i've described above, with unfair t&c), they will be more firm and happy to get just the deposits from the consumers if the consumers should decide to forgo the item. Due to this, the only thing we can do is to forgo the deposit. Luckily it is not a big amount. take it as a lesson learnt... Before u sign or pay deposits for anything, check if there is additional costs or "hidden" t&c. for our case, the t&c is written at the back of the receipt and we were not told. from wat we know, the t&c normally are written on the same page as the receipt (not at the back) and usually the terms are quite fair, as in not purely to the advantage of the merchant...

got it... seems like if i add in a L box at the living area, it will be easier to design my downlights location and the living area will be brighter too... hmm...

i'm confused!!!!!
