Hi all, years back. I came across a house and its aluminum casement windows come with a child safety lock features. When I tried to push the window outwards, it can only push out by a few inches. This is to prevent kids from opening the windows without any adult supervision.
On the other hand, if you want the window to be fully open, then you need to pull the window inwards and outwards again. This will disable to safety lock and able to window to open widely. I think the safety features is come from the window latch itself.
Anyone come across this safety lock feature???? Pl enlighten me where can I find it. I am planning not to fix any window grilles at my new house so I decided to install the above mention safety features for all my aluminum windows.
