  1. i shower in less than 5...not much hair to shampoo, not much muscles to scrub
  2. from SLT? did you get a good price?
  3. ikea got nice kitchen lights....but......they are diffused lights....so if you need them bright, reconsider.
  4. hi purplefairy, it's tiles. they are very easy to clean. i wish i had choose the same tiles in the toilet, cos those in the toilet are tougher to clean. ah...yes....i'm starting to have issues with my gas heater. sometime when i'm in the middle of a shower, the flame extinguishes. it is a on and off problem, and i'm still trying to figure the source of problem? but i still like the heater as compared to instant heater, and my shower section looks more sleek....lol the bathtub is from a bathroom speciallist in tagore lane. i got it at $170 duing their warehouse sale. it is a 1.5M long bathtub. you need to do your own measurements, and allowance(30cm to be sure) is needed for the tiled area of the bathtub. no approval is needed. bathtub is very light. acrylic material i believe. the most expensive part of the bathtub area is not the tub itself, but the labor/construction the contractor will charge. you could almost buy a fancy built-in jacuzzi with the same amount of money (i.e. if you can find one at <2k)
  5. very troublesome to spray paint. and you need 2 days to really let the paint dry. the one is got is from a shop in Sim Lim Tower (not square). i think i saw red, white and green there. it is a spanish brand Vesa if i recall correctly. the shop owner said Vesa is a "higher" brand as compared to Yale.
  6. yes. that was for the kitchen. i also have the same one that BY bought in the "storeroom".
  7. $100 for 3. initial opening quote at $45 Ea.
  8. if you need convincing, come to my place and see/hear for yourself....lol.
  9. i think no need. only LED need ballast right?
  10. dun install. buy new one. if you regret later, it will cost you more in terms of time and money.
  11. too bad i cannot find any designs of any "ong lais". will be a nice addition during CNY.
  12. from far it looks good, but once you get nearer you will see bubbles and imperfect edges along the switch due to my poor worksmanship. next try will be better.
  13. nice big double chessburger...lol.
  14. oh no...you don't want this....it flickers when you turn it on.....
  15. did you buy the 3 black hats?
  16. it's a $1.80 sticker from gmarket. over 100s to select.
  17. hands got itchy. started DIY before i finish unpacking.
  18. dunno the market rate. i got my contractor to change it...and i complain he did not do a good job. lol. main door lock is like a 1-2 hr job. gate is shorter. you can take a guess whether it is cheap or not based on the labor charges. you can try the place selling locks if they had handyman to recommend.
  19. if you are enquiring for the current aircon in your new place, maybe it is worthwhile to do one "heavy duty chemical cleaning". should cost more than a normal service, which is about $30 per unit. also get tech to do a throughout check if possible, e.g. coolant gas level (will help to indicate if you have any leaking problem) the aircon tech will always quote by unit. tell them to give you package price, else you threaten to get them to come 3 separate trips to clean one a/c each time.
  20. thank you for hosting the open house. it is very nice....perfect design for a bachelorette pad!
  21. small issue. you are going to plaster/repaint?
  22. got "self & silent washing and arranging" feature?
  23. zhng zhng zhng....yeah.....huat ah!
  24. i fully agree. the moving was all over in less than 2 hours. fast and efficient. even help me pack my loose items, and dismantle/reassembly of bedframe and tv mounts.
