  1. Has anyone used Crystal Home's shoe cabinets with the zig zag shelving or custom built similar style of shelving? If you have, could you please post a close up of how the shelves were made? I'm hoping to customize my shoe cabinet and it would be easier if I could get a close up of how it's done. Thank you! Zig zag shoe shelves on the right side
  2. I think I saw them at Light Concept but my memory is bad so better call them and ask first.
  3. Quote will be base on size of the walls so think it's hard to compare since mine would be different. Better to get a few quotes from contractors and compare from there.
  4. Has anyone else bought lights from the US? The range is so much better... very tempting. Sometimes US lights can take up to 250V but must ask electrician to test and see if it's ok... don't know if I should take the risk.
  5. Thank you for the quick reply, I'll check that out this weekend.
  6. I really like this ceiling light but have never seen it in local shops. Has anyone come across this light? Please let me know if you have thanks. I'm also wondering if it's possible to ask the electrician to join multiple light fixtures together... Ceiling light
  7. Nice! Does it feel stable? I would like to get something like that but a bit worried it can't cope with heavy bottles since I have a lot of shower stuff. For anyone who's interested, I also saw a tension pole caddy on the Howard's Storage World catalog. I'll definitely check it out next time I'm at Vivo.
  8. I saw some Artemide reproductions at Arco lighting this afternoon but I couldn't remember which one you wanted or I would have asked. They have the table and wall lamp, ceiling dbl arm model as well as repro lights of other designers. It's worth calling to ask them if they have a source/contact for the mega floor lamp I think. It looks like they are getting it from the same supplier as Lush. Arco
  9. I know what that they are different and that Cat 6 is for data, however how is running that any different from running electrical wires? Is there anything special to watch out for when running Cat 6 cables?
  10. Just curious... what's the difference running Cat 6 cable versus normal electrical wire? Is there something special that need to be taken into consideration?
  11. For those that have used this in their apartment... what is it made of? Stainless steel? Also, has anyone tried to add extra outlets or lights after renovation and was still able to use metal conduits or did you have to use the standard pvc flat trunking? I really like the look of them but wondering if I will be able to add more lights or power outlets in future. Thanks!
  12. Sorry to bug you, I have another question. How did the electrician install the pendant lights in your living room without running the conduit to all three bases? I'm thinking of having something similar (a bunch of pendants over the dining table) but thought that I need to run the conduit individually to each base. Thank you!
  13. I think Lush is the only one locally. I do agree that it's important to see the lamp first, especially since it's not the original one.
  14. If you like European designed products, it's definitely cheaper in UK. Prices in Singapore are marked up. If you are shipping a container back, it's definitely worth filling it with the things you like from UK.
  15. I've never bought from this seller and I don't see the lamp you want but they seem to have a pretty big range of repro lamps. Looks like the lights are MIC but feedback on service and quality is really good. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Lamp-Designer-shop/_i.html?rt=nc&_sid=807536105&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1581&_pgn=4Ebay
  16. My reno budget is pretty tight so ID suggested building the WIW with partition walls instead of hollow brick. Anyone did the same? How strong is the partition wall? I'm wondering if my kids accidentally knock into it, will I end up with a hole in the wall? Any feedback would be appreciated!
  17. Molecule has them, I think price was around $450? They were having their sale last week and offering 30% off so check if that's still on.
  18. Thank you! I've heard some bad reviews of Ikea furniture but a lot of people still seem to buy so I guess no harm trying.
  19. Sorry to hijack but did the contractor use a grey plaster to create a cement like look in your kitchen or was it really cement? Your kitchen walls look really nice!
  20. Simple Human has a really beautiful one, it's available at Home-Fix Marina Sq branch. Beware... it's expensive. I think it was close to $400. Simple Human tension shower caddy
  21. Hi techaview, your kitchen looks great! Do you mind to pm me the approx cost of your stainless steel counter tops & kitchen cabinets? I'm seriously considering using this for my own kitchen but unsure how much it's going to add to the cost. Thank you!
  22. I love your lamp! Do you mind sharing the seller's website? Thanks!
  23. I've been looking around the shops and don't really see a big selection of washbasin counters... do most people ask their contractors to build them? I really like this Ikea one but not sure how well it will last. Ikea washbasin bathroom cabinet If anyone has ever used Ikea cabinets in the bathroom, please let me know your feedback. Thank you!
