Anyone managed to renovate their place and make it harder for lizards and cockroaches to get in? I'm planning on changing louver windows to sliding windows, I think that will help. What can I do about the rubbish chute and the water traps? Ideas wanted cos I really hate them!

Oops, guess I didn't explain really well... can I mix white & yellow light in 1 room? I can't recall seeing this before so not sure how well it would work.

I've always had white light but I'm going to be renovating my place soon and thinking of trying yellow light or maybe a combo (will that look weird)? White light: - makes a place seem better lit / brighter - can be a little "cold" Yellow light: - makes a room look warmer - can be seem a little "dark" compared to white light Has anyone got a combination of white & yellow light in their home? Very confused!

Hi cjred, I saw from your original floor plan that the wall between the bedrooms was not level so the quote include hacking & rebuilding the wall to straighten. Did they hack the entire wall & rebuild or just hack the part that is recessed then build the wall just at that part?
