I am contemplating to use cove lights ( 4ft T5's) by installing L-Box all over my level 1 without installing any down lights. Is it bright enough, for example, reading the evening papers at the living area?

Hi jshome, u should consult yr ID/Contractor rgdg this. Due to the ventilation of mbr toilet (existing toilet window cant open), & sunlight canot come in, exhaust fan is a must for me. Dont knw if dehumidifier works as well? For the maindoor, I will take some pictures to show u guys. Hope some expert can help

Hi Exman, the moulds for my case is in mbr toilet at lvl 2, its probably due to mists as suggested by both hdb inspector as well as my ID.

Hi jshome, the toilet ceiling is mouldy due to accumulated mist over time. Need to install exhaust fan to solve this issue. Have been following your blog. Judging from your floor plan, you have a recess area along the common corridor before entering your front door. Unlike mine, the front door is just along the corridor. Therefore, my chances is equal to zero.

Hi ymjp100, I had bought an EM with the same layout as yours, What I could not comprehend is that the shoe cabinet on the left of the main door entrance, is it a walk-in? If its just a normal cabinet, what happened to the depth/space behind it?

I had read a few t-blog rgdg the widening of the main door. But when i spoke to my ID, he said not possible. Therefore, need some help from fellow forumers to share their experience on this part. Thk u.

Hi Alvin, Don't be misled by those "Big names" ID, they will chop u to pieces before u knw it. Initially, when I optioned on 31/12/11, it scared the **** out of me when I came to hear that EM reno easily cost 90~100k (well im refering to reno alone). Hwvr, after much research & reconcile on the type of materials (mid range), u can still do a decent one around 70k. I got my keys today, going to start "actions" real soon. I hv not finalised on materials as I had thought seller will only move out in another month's time. Suddenly, my agent just called me today to collect the keys.
