  1. For placing the wallpapers, mix the adhesive poweder with water and leave it for 10 to 20 minutes So here come the first piece ..second.. and, the final product, our victorian style living room next, add some paint to the frame
  2. Woh, my Hoyoyo purchase has arrived unexpectedly. Maybe they processed wrongly by air shipment, because the goods just loaded to vessel on 4th May... Luckily I am at home today.
  3. Valarie, the one for my tv console is good, but too heavy so placing it up is not easy. The one I bought for 20 over Yuan one is also okay, just that too thin and cannot apply too much adhesive. You may want to consider buying from china cause I believe those cheaper range of wallpapers in SG are also imported from china, but in here, cheaper range means around 50 bucks?? Most importantly must get expert to put them up for you. For my house, I really doubt that they will last me more than 2 years.
  4. Ya, that should be the expert's job. Laying over flat wall is fine but not over the sockets and switches.
  5. Tomorrow gonna be a big day, lots of things to take care off. Wait and see the changes I bring to the poorly abandoned unit.
  6. Cannot imagine the strips you mentioned, I have put up the wallpaper for tv console and I think it is fine without the strips
  7. Am very tired today, spending my time from 9 to 8 only managed to finish 4 roll of wall papers. Not an easy task actually especially dealing wih the bomb shelter door. Hopefully the wallpapers can last for couple of years... Advice to all, don't buy too much wallpapers simply it is cheap in China

  11. Finally, the wallpapers. I bought 2 rolls for TV console, each roll 60X70, so need to cut into 4 pieces, will put them up tomorrow.
  12. Forget to show the picture about the dining light Problem with this light is that it is too yellowish, remember the blue colour bulb I bought, it produces white light. So I plug in, switch on, and it burst . So I conduct investigation and found out that it supports only 12V voltage, so it is useless unless I buy a thing called voltage converter or something, but then will need an expert to fix that for me. Anyway I still have 3 blue bulb, specification G4 12V 20W colour 6800, anyone interested to buy please contact me yo
  13. Our "open-kitchen" is done, the only pending is the paint and the colour glass backing. Few problems encountered during the reno process, 1) placing the hood on the wall with a beam >> solution: uncle reno ask factory to cut the upper part of the hood, no additional charges 2) water and gas pipes running above the hood >> solution: uncle reno ask carpenter to cover that part with laminates, no additional charges 3) cutting the colour glass in according to the hood's curve shape >> solution: not possible for factory to do that, so we decide to have a straigt cut up to the the hood's glass We quite like the design of the corner cabinet, idea was originated from Ikea, the end result turns out to be satisfactory. We don't have s/s dish rack as we intend to keep all plates and cutlery in the drawers, idea also originated from Ikea.

  15. 18. FS, to add also, Hoyoyo has a service to repack your stuffs. For my case, the total volumetric of my items exceed 0.5CBM at first, then I ask them to repack certain bulky items and managed to reduce the total size to 0.5CBM, likewise if you are shipping by air, you can ask them to repack also to lower the chargeable weight.
  19. I really catch no ball on what you said, don't be so chim okie anot? old man like me cannot turn the brain so fast, what is lemon, what sounds familiar? I have been thinking of these few words for so long still cannot interpret leh

  21. I saw TODAY also, LG 40" LED TV for 88 bucks, sure no chance to grap, merely marketing gimmicks. Another item spotted, Samsung WA10G9, says 10 sets per day at $399... Haha, I got from Mega at $380 NeoBY, before going, drop by Mega and tell them that others quoted you $770 for the front load model, then ask them whether they can match it. Payment by cash o!

  23. Update on Pest Repeller after a day of test. We turn it on since 1st May, and when arrive yesterday, we saw a lizard within the close distance of the pest repeller. Maybe it takes some time for the ultrasound device to be effective. By the way I heard that peacock feather and egg shell also can get rid of lizard, quite unbelievable, but i guess, when the lizard saw the feather and egg shell, it thought that there is a bird nearby, so quicky run away LOL.
