More updates! Lights are up! But I dunno why my contractor did not fix my dining lights. Foyer Spotlight at TV console area Cosy area MBR (Wrapper not removed!). Will retake the pictures again when the wrapper is removed.

Nice toilet doors. Although is from HDB, but i feels it looks simple and got a clean look. Quite a good price to pay eh.

Haha. We will change to energy saving ones. But when we went shopping for lights, the sales person told us that they will be giving us normal light bulbs instead of energy saving ones. She say energy saving ones do not light up as nice as normal light bulbs. Izzit true?? My lights that I bought voltage is around 20-40 watts.

My lights are here today. My hubby met up with patrick this evening. Told him about the lights installation. Tomorrow they will be doing up the lightings and the platform. Somehow I feel, the progress is pretty slow. Patrick said next week capentary will then start. I thought that everything should be able to done up this week. But he did say that the materials have not arrived. I guess have to wait for another week. Hopefully, can handover by end of next week. We also realise the dining lights is using 150 watt light bulb (total there are 3) No wonder previous owner install a dimmer. Got to change it to a energy saving one. Since this light will be move to a new lighting place and there is no dimmer to that lighting point.

I using ICI. My earth colours means colours in brown range. !! Thanks. Should thanks the colour consultant instead, heh. He choose the colours for us. Already called up patrick to tell him the problem part. Hopefully, he will repaint it soon.

Went down this evening to take a look. First round of painting was done. But there is defect found. They painted the wrong colour for my MBR. Here are some of the pictures: Cosy area (forgot to turn on flash) Mahjiong room Wardrobe room MBR, they suppose to paint the colour in the inner side, not the whole wall. HHS, they cover it well.

Updates on curtains... just now went to my mum's friend's shop to take a look at the curtain fabrics. Realise that those are pretty high end products. My mum's friend quote us $2k in total for the curtains . Day & night curtains for living room & MBR. Night curtains for the other 2 bedrooms. Understand why the price is at high side. Her fabrics comes from countries like spain & london. I must say the curtain design she recommanded to us for living room is really nice. Sad to say we don't have the budget, although both of us like it very much. Have to give it a miss. !! My current house curtains are all done by her, so far I feel that her workmanship is good. Good experience afterall, we shall hunt for cheaper range of curtains. !!

Nope, i bought my lights at Singapore Lightings. Me and my hubby are too tired to walk so far (we rush off to balastier after work) heh. We started off with lightology.. then walk down further.. We pop into 3-4 shops but no one entertain us, until this one. Since not buying alot, just settle at this shop. The sales gal pretty tomboy but very chatty.. heh. !! NICE LOH! !! Simple changes makes a brand new look on your kitchen eh. !!

ya.. i know.. but don't have budget to to that. Anyway, i tot of a cost saving way, the truckings for my spot light near TV console, half will be covered by curtains. I told the electrician to lay the truckings just beside to window grills. At least that side will be covered by curtains. Heh. !!

Wow.. nice lights.. I saw your spot lights when I was choosing mine.. hehe... So your reno should be done right??

I am choosing earth colours.. more to brown range for the whole house, to create zen and cozy feeling... Hmm.. this part I am not too sure about it. Have to ask the electrician. Will be meeting up with him on tuesday again. Will ask him, provided I can remember. Or maybe other forumers can help to answer??

Pop by this evening to check out the status. New lighting points are up. !! This light previously in dining/living area. Now shifted to wardrobe room. New lighting point at TV console area. But the position is wrong, have rectify with pactrick to shift it nearer to the TV console area. Lighting points for dining area and foyer. This is how they cover up the wire truckings. Paints are here! Tml they will start the paint jobs.

Broke liao leh.. after spending a bomb on our house. See how lor.. our Shifu did not give any saturday dates for wkends, only sundays.. the rest are wkdays. Maybe will choose thur. Can't rem if there is any friday dates, the paper is not with me now.

I guess I will just save the trouble. Pay them $80 to do the work. Getting mentally and physically tired in settling housing stuff. Just now went to balastier to settle our lightings. Bought 4 lights in total. 1 for foyer, 1 for cosy area, 1 for MBR and 1 spot lights at TV area. Damage $330. Delivered on tuesday. 1 thing down.

Yap, i attend a wedding dinner there once. Me and my hubby like it very much. Weekday is cheaper!

It is at Esplanade mall, The V Tea Room. Do pop by, they have very nice floral teas and liquer cakes. !! Most gals will like the place.

ya.. i am a 1982 baby.. AD ah.. June 2008. Have already went to get a list of dates from Shifu. All the dates happen to be in Jun-2008. After settling my reno, then prepare for my AD.

Mace, don't feel so upset le. Maybe you can post pics of the finished works. Some updates on my reno. Met up with Patrick, Ah keong and the electrian to finalise the lighting points, colours of the paints and the laminates. The electrian is very experienced, the 2 new lighting points i requested, he will quickly point out where the wires will be lay. And also told him which are the lights i want to discard. Tomorrow, he will come to do the lighting points. Patrick spotted that my toilet bowl flush is leaking. Need to change the pump. Which will cost around $80. Additional cost. Next few days, paint works will be up. Shall rest for the next 2 days. Spot check on Good friday. Shall do lights shopping over the weekends.

ya.. mine is a resale one. is near by panjang plaza. drove pass there to go sheng shiong shopping?? Thanks mace for the suggestion. But no matter use what partition, i guess is not feasible to blk the full walkway. The more i blk, narrower the walkway is.

I will be using string curtains, but just blk partially. I think will look very weird if cover totally. *Can refer to my reno blog*
