  1. Hi there I just went to Midview, the shop there's selling the stars & stripes beanbag for 130 or 99 if purchased with somethg else...offhand I can't remember the shop name but it's the one that some forumers buy lightings from.
  2. Hi there, ya it is strong but not overpowering, like a nice natural breeze kind. I bought 6 sets & my aunt knows the shop guy so got a discounted price of 330 incl remote & Gst.

Hi May dream, oki I'll take a close up of the white fan & post tmr night...no the fans I bought in SG, it's Amasco a SG brand & Msia doesn't sell it. Got fan + remote at 330 incl GST. 4. Not as high as we want leh, but is ok la, we buy low so sell lower than expected still ok. Cos hard to find a terrace we really like, like this one we have now.
  5. Hi jumbopanther.... thanks! Actually this alot of loose ends... my parents sensing I'm drained by all these coordination work has stepped in to help... thank God. Can't wait for it to be over, yet not wanting to move out of my current beloved estate so soon.... haiz... such is life!
  6. I really like the matt black amasco fan... & the matt white for that matter. Bought them for I believe quite a good price as I bought 6 sets. This fan's in my dining room. My master toilet's countertop basin from Johnson Suisse, & waterfall tap from Webert. Tap is unique hor? 1 piece Johnson Suisse WC... That's all for today. More pics of lightings on ground floor tomorrow... Have been experiencing reno fatigue since Monday... would rather be spending time with my babies... haiz.
  7. The 2nd floor lightings are more or less up.... ground floor still in progress. View of master room from the room entrance. Matt white amasco fan highly recommended by my aunt. With lights on... notice the 'cove lights'? The ID proposed this, as I do not want to sleep every night knowing dust is accumulating in my cove lights holder. These are actually spotlights installed on the side of L-box... A close-up of the 12W LED downlights bought in M'sia for RM95...the effect from the patterned edges are nice when switched on. Only my iphone can't capture it properly... This I bought in M'sia as well for equivalent of less than a hundred sgd. Not perfect but good enough for 2nd floor landing. Black tracklights for the stairwell area... RM 156 from M'sia...
  8. I've actually partitioned the ground floor room into a playroom and maid's room... can't wait to go ikea for their colourful kids furniture.
  9. Hi shmj, thanks! They're from Jennings, you can look out for it when doing yours... Oh, so your wetworks contractor does not cover carpentry? Hmm, lemme know if you need a carpenter contact, i can pm you. I'm using him for a few of my items, recommended by my parents who used them for their renovation.
  10. Hi there, tks! It's been quite a packed schedule since beginning so tkfully the house is looking more & more livable... Hehe. Ya, my living room is quite big now, wait till its overrun by my kiddos' toys!
  11. Wah ur toilet fittings look very atas.... How long is the expected duration for your A&A?
  12. Time really flies when you're busy... haven't been able to update lately as I'm preparing to head back to work...maternity leave ending.... Shan't bore you guys with the boring stuff anymore... here's the latest updates. Backyard wet kitchen almost complete.... view from backyard. Ah... my dry kitchen cabinets are up....laminates nice bo? My divider cabinet for the split level, so my children will not fall from the dining room into the living room...had a hard time choosing laminates & coloured pvc for this one. Closer look at the laminates against the coloured pvc inside... can u tell it's different? Shoe cabinets... I already think it's not enough. Ok, more progress to come later... the lights are being fixed now... will post pics once blink blinks are on!
  13. Hi, I ever spoke to xmsl on design alone. Was quoted abt 12k for my terrace ard 2500sf. U can chk out their portfolio on their website.
  14. Ya I haven't contacted opennet too. Gosh! Can advise who I can call?
  15. Minerat, i'm told usually for 3 stories 3 phase is recommended cos u hv more electricity usage eg air cons in the house. 3 phase means 3 times the capacity compared to my current 60amps (jumbopanther, it's 63a?) There are some rules for wiring which electrician will advise. Also need pub approval & to bring all wires & lines to the front gate. Means additional charge of up to 20k if I'm not wrong...I didn't upgrade yet cos of budget & time & only 2 storey so not critical.
  16. For pest control, roofing, waterproofing, maybe u can check with ur left & right neighbors who they use & wld recommend. Cos inter terr like ours share roofs & erm, share pests with them. So those parties they use will be already familiar with ur unit's "pattern". For front gate & solar films, Uncle B & cousin can quote u also, together with the windows. He does both metal types & the more modern wood type. Those at Loyang villas are done by him.
  17. I was recommended cassette as its open concept so horsepower need to be higher. I thought its neat too but in the end we decided to stick to 2 single units since not using ground floor Aircon often... Is ur electricity 3 phase already?
  18. May dream, my hse has 8 humans & 1 dog staying, so space per person is smaller than ur place lor for sure! Mine is also not completed yet...plus I suspect decorating it will take like...1 yr more?? ;p oki if u folks willing to see bare house I'll invite in July once we settle down. if earlier, I'm happy to visit may dream's beautiful hse.
  19. I'm having the same straight thru open concept for my house too...does make the hse look bigger. Just need bigger capacities air cons & a strong consistent design theme! Are u having a cassette Aircon?
  20. Minerat & May dream, guess we were all really right time right place. maybe one day if we gather at either one's house we can share our stories in detail.
  21. Hello Minerat, we've communicated on email but never realized our processes of selling & buying are both by God's grace. We love our current estate too...if not for our things bursting out of our storerooms due to a big family, we wld be content to bring up our children in e condo estate. But God has better ideas for us. Excited for u!
  22. Hi I bought this for RM30 in JB.
  23. Hi Coolting, I'm no expert also... just read a couple of discussions around LED lights & its downsides & whether it really saves on utilities.. didn't really research on what you described, cos I felt the price I'm buying at is still ok. When an LED spoils, it's mainly the driver, so I can change that without changing the lights itself. Furthermore, LEDs doesnt flicker as much as PLCs, so it's good for our eyesight, especially for my children when they read... & as I mentioned, the amount I'm topping up for LEDs is only about 300-400 more than if I were to use PLCs, so to make it back within the 1 year warranty period means I need to save 30+ per month, which my Dad says is easily done. He's known friends who changed & saved on utilities, & so far I've not heard anyone who says no savings... Of course if I'm paying 60-70 per LED I would research harder lor. So this was a quick decision for me due to the lower price.
