Hi Calliecats, I am impressed by your MBR design and walk in wardrobe. What kind of system did you use? pole system? Did you built the additional wall to cover up the WIW. Would love to have the 2 side lamp mounted too...... how did you do it.... you mean you already bought the bed before the reno start so you know exactly where to fit the side lamp. It is very neatly done without any cables seen. You must have really put in lots of effort in designing your house. I love it. I finally realised how confusing it is to go through the long list of proposals and quotations and some of these technical jargons used. Different ID/contractors giving different suggestions and packages. Manage to shortlist to 3 after meeting many of them and personally like the way your contractor presents as he is quite sincere and not agressive like others and also more attentive to smaller details but hubby feels that we should consider another very smily uncle who is slightly cheaper and committed that everything no problem and said he is flexible one. Afterall, will leave the decision to my hubby as i have cast my vote already. Am crossing my fingers that Ed can take our job when the time comes in 2 weeks time........as he mentioned he only take up 1 job at a time. Will be great if you can help to ask him lower his price a little more...hahaha. Love reading your blog... very informative and inspiring...... looking forward to more info and pic.

Dear Calliecats, Thanks for info. Shall try my luck and see if he can meet my budget(40-45k) and importantly the chemistry. . . Lots of homework and comparison to do. You use quite a bit of wall paper .... must be expensive....I am also considering to use wall paper, how much does it cost? Hubby wants the house to be eco friendly so probably going to use LED stuff.... heard it helps to cut down the electricity bills, is it true? You mentioned that you use LED for the entire house... you mean even the chandelier too? I thought your house should be featured in those deco magazine because it looks much better than some featured ones. Bought a few for references and some are really too raw for me, like some old abandoned warehouse I seen in states...wahaha More photo please...heeehee

adidaem : You are very knowledgeable. Am new and a lot to learn from you guys but probably can't afford the budget that you have spent. Getting my keys in a few weeks time and sourcing for ID/contractor soon. What is your take on ID and contractor. Can PM me? Tks for sharing.

Nice 3d design. .. looking for contractor too, pretty headache, went to ID fair at Expo and most seem very agressive and not very knowledgeable. How much is the budget for your reno work? Planning to overhaul our resale 5rm that is 30 yrs old. The switch is my grandmother house type black and round type, looks like an antique. haha.

Dear Callie, Consider myself newbie though I have been following on some forums and blogs for past few months. Love your design and choice of colour matching in both your bathrooms as welll as the mirrors used. Have seen mostly plain ones and hope I can create my dream home like yours too. Will be collecting our key in 6 weeks time in Bedok and planning for a big overhaul on this 30 year old 5 room flat. How much do you spend all in? I have read many blogs and it can be scary to get the wrong ID/contractor. Does your contractor provide you ideas or just do coordination only? Is he responsive? Mind to share his contact or website. Hi pinkwhale, Have read many forums and blogs and still confused on deciding between ID or contractor. Can PM contacts of contractors that you could recommend to me. Just got a resale flat of 30+ years and the place looks awful at its present state, going to do a major ovehual and hopefully I can find the right contractor/ID to do it for me.
