  1. Hi renovice, my reno cost is 30+k, not including electrical, electronics and toilet accessories. I'm using Orange from Inside Living. You can call her at 8444 6681.

If you are doing a small job, then I would suggest that you can consider getting a contractor. Would be cheaper too.

Hope this helps and all the best in your upcoming Reno.

  2. Hi itsybits, your house is coming along really well. Love everything you have!
  3. Sliding door at kitchen is up. Time to get some decals to avoid a situation. Any recommendations? Electrician has separated the two types of lighting at the living room. Cove lights only. Downlights only
  4. Hi kibbie29, pm sent Thanks we kept it simple partially because we have limited budget and also because we feel that simple designs last longer.
  5. Master bedroom wardrobes are up too. MIL's wardrobe (brown). Wardrobe in study. We changed the laminate to a greyish tone one and similar to my MIL's room) Our shoe cabinet (our db box is hidden inside). This is the version that has not been completed. The completed version.
  6. Been a few days since I last updated my tblog...to the point that I almost couldn't find the thread that I had started... This means that tbloggers here are super active. Not sure why but I have been have having problems retrieving pictures from my ipad. Anyway....one thing I realise is that keeping a tblog really helps me visualise the transformation to the house...that the house was super "cui" and that the transformation was indeed way overdue. Anyway updates again. My kitchen cabinets are up. This is without the granite top. We did a tall unit to hide the unsightly pipes in the kitchen. This also serves as a small storage area to store things like a ladder, brooms and mops, maybe even the bamboo poles. The kitchen sink we bought. It's a top mount rectangular sink. Hob and hood.
  7. Wow Jshome, your kitchen looks really good with the centre island and lots of storage!
  8. Bedroom doors are up. Decided to paint them glossy white to match with the walls. Kitchen top cabinets are mounted. Carpenter was working on it when we reached the house last evening. Box up for the gas pipe is also done.
  9. Thanks BusyBee! Think I saw this before.
  10. Hi BusyBee would you mind sharing where you got the white side tables and the cost? Thank you!
  11. Wah sounds like a sure win approach  Will do this if the pull out tray spoils. Anyway, if it spoils, hb will have to handle it.
  12. Thanks Taichipanda. We would be more careful using this then. My mil is old so we thought this would be more useful for her. Any good suggestions?
  13. Built-in wardrobes for the rooms. Just the bare skeleton so far. Lastly, our doorbell which had been installed together with the lights.
  14. Carpentry has arrived. Hopefully they can finish all the built-in installations by Saturday. Housed in the living room currently. Am glad that they placed a layer of cardboard to protect the flooring. These should be the kitchen cabinets and shoe cabinet. Some parts of the carpentry have already been installed. The movable layers were specially requested for easy installation of gas cylinders. We prefer cylinders over piped gas. These are the kitchen cabinets. Only added Blum for drawers to keep costs low.
  15. Thank you. Think this is the norm nowadays. Mine is matt finish too
  16. Hi yhliang can i check what is the finish after your varnishing of parquet? thanks!
