  1. Hi Speed45, Thanks for your great help!
  2. Hi Guys, I am looking for Direct/Freelance Cornice contractor to help me do some work at my new house. I would like to paste those patterned cornices at the corner of my Wall/Ceilings for my 4 Room HDB Flat. Please email me at fluidheaven07@yahoo.com.sg if you have any recommended pple for the job. Thanks!
  3. Hi Guys, what are the name/model of paint and sealers that you guys would recommend??? I am painting only white colour on both my walls and ceilings. Thanks!
  4. Hi I am also looking for a direct Painter. Please recommend me. Thanks!
  5. Hi Batman, I am intending to get 'Many' downlights for my new house. Am torn between choosing PLC and LED. My Maths gave me a break even of 2.5 years with the price of $28 PLC vs $58 LED (both philips brand from lightings.com.sg). Switching them on 8 hrs per day gives me about $12/yr savings for each downlight. Can you show me your maths? Cos I am trying to convince myself not to splurge on LED. Thanks!
  6. Hi GetFuzzy, Can pm me the contact of your contractor? Thanks!
  7. Oh Thanks Getzski, will try to find it. I assume u do not know the shop name?
  8. Hi Guys, does anyone have Cheap Direct Granite Contacts? Would like to find one to do up my kitchen table top and toilets table tops. Thanks!
  9. Hi Taichi Panda, whats your mobile phone number? Would like to go down your place to have a look. Thanks!
  10. Hi Taichipanda, I would also like to use Quartz Caesarstone. If I did not misunderstand, you mean your total kitchen cost is $7030 + $4000 = $11,030??? Bedok is e other end of Singapore from my place lol. But I definitely would like to go over to consult you. Can you sms me your mobile and address? I have pmed u my mobile number. Thanks for your great help!!!
  11. Wow!!! Yours is abs trimming for the side panels to ceiling??? That must be amazing! Actually $300 per ft is very value for money if all the blum drawers and accessories are included. I assume the $300 is not inclusive of the table top as well right? My place don't have space to do high cabinets till the ceiling. I will be satisfied if my contractor is willing to do abs trimming for my cabinet side panels for the bottom and top cabinets. Where do you stay? I would love to go your place to view your renovation.
  12. Hi Casa, the edge lines you mentioned is it the lines after ABS trimming? Or is it parts without the ABS trimmings? Wonder if any carpenters managed to do ABS trimmings on the side panels.
  13. Hi Taichi Panda, Don't doubt me leh. I am not promoting any kind of services here. I settled my blum issue with my contractor already so did not come back to view the thread. By the way, another question. My contractor also told me that ABS trimming can only be done for the doors of the cabinets and cannot be done at the 'side panels' of the cabinets. So he can only use white plaster to plaster the gaps between the laminates. Is that true??? Thanks!
  14. Wow!!! Taichi Panda your kitchen **** chio!!! How much per feet excluding blum accesories? What laminate did you use?
  15. Woo Hoo!!! My contractor is willing to do it cost to cost for me. Hehe. Taichipanda, do you have photos of your kitchen cabinet? Can whatsapp me if convenient for u also haha.
  16. Anyone else with Blum installed in their kitchen to share their experience???
  17. Hahaha.... Mike, U can just Google Unimax creative and get their number. From what they told me, the terms is that you need to get the solid surface or Granite from them, which is a little more expensive than outside. But even factoring that in, it is quite worthwhile. Their solid surface is $90 while their granite is $120. So I think u can do the math. Another term is that with the above price, you can only request for 1 column of drawers, if you want more then got to add money lor. So I think if you are just going for the basic, kitchen cabinet, can really check them out. But I am thinking of doing more than the basic lah haha. Thats why looking into blum.
  18. Yah that was what I was thinking. Plywood should be Plywood right? And I am not paying $69 per feet. Furthermore the $69 per feet cabinet also uses playwood. Thus I assume that the $100 per feet should be decent? Another thing, I am only intending to use Tandem Box plus. I understand that Servo definitely require very high installation fees cos it uses electrical mechanisms. So would like to see if most of the pple here paid additional installation fees for using Tandem Box plus or not.
  19. By the way, you mean you guys did not get quotes of $100/ft???? Is that considered cheap? I gotten quite a few quotes for that. For those who are interested in doing up their Kitchen Cabinets. The ID firm Unimax Creative at Balestier is having a promo of $69 per ft for engaging them to do kitchen Cabinets. You can just engage them for their kitchen only and nothing else also can. I am not engaging them cos I am thinking of letting my Contractor do up my whole house instead of engaging another company for this. Thus honestly I think $100 per feet should be reasonable right?
  20. How would you know whether the carpenter is giving you good quality or poor quality plywood? The carpenter may be giving you poor quality plywood even if you are paying $180 per feet right? And some carpenters may give you Good quality plywood for just $110 per feet right? Are we just able to conclude that we are getting good or bad quality stuffs just by the amount we pay the carpenter? That doesn't sound reassuring. Of cos I don't mind paying more if the carpenter is able to Proof that the quality of plywood he is using is of better grade. And if using blum requires more work, why do I hear a number of people that their carpenters do not charge them a installation fee for blum???
  21. Yes, of cos I will inform him that I want Blum system before hand. Thats why am looking for a carpenter who doesnt charge a installation fee. But of cos I dun expect the Carpenter hide the installation fee into the carpentry work and charge me $150 per feet as I understand the normal price of carpentry work is about $100 per feet.
  22. Mine is hardcopy so cannot pm. Anyone got carpenter that charges $100 per ft kitchen carpentry without additional installation fees for blum? Please recommend!
  23. I have the price list as well. But the normal drawers don't seem that expensive. It is only about $60 to $90 per drawer. Thus I was thinking if its a normal practise for us to buy it for our contractor without him charging a installation fee?
  24. Hi Guys, I am thinking of renovating my kitchen and I would like to enquire what is the reasonable/ usual price that a Contractor would charge you for upgrading your Drawers to Blum Drawers? Assuming that the Contractor prefers that you buy it through him. Is there any contractors that would charge you the Blum retail price for it? And if you insist on buying the Blum drawers for him. Is it normal to have a additional installation fees to be charged? If so how much should the installation fees be per drawer? Thanks in Advance!
