i'm looking for recommendations for someone to do an extra set of sofa cushion covers for me...the material needs to be of an average to above average quality... anyone ?

leveraging on the high readership of kim's t-blog ,i want to make a new set of sofa cushion covers and was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations ?

uhh, i think the oxo one is better cos it has a pointed tip...plus it has a lot more good reviews than the zeroll

too bad...one thing is this one gotta buy the micro filters though...i used to use my bialetti more often but now that i have my nespresso, it's just faster and more convenient to make a cup of coffee... my bialetti is now reserved for guests who are coffee aficionados who want a real cup of italian espresso...hee...

hmm, how does the taste of this one compare to a bialetti ? the principle behind this one looks like a cross between a french press and a vietnamese style drip coffee

oh ya, talk about shielding of cat 6 cables in the false ceiling - they can use those inflexible grey pvc pipes (like water pipes) to do it but u gotta do this while they are building the frame for your false ceiling...otherwise, you can only opt for the flexible plastic tubing (accordian type, slightly thicker than a plastic water pipe) to shield...i can only use the latter as i ran my cat 6 after...

no need so atas lah...buy the scotch brite version from ntuc etc...way cheaper and works the same way...i think i paid about $20+, replacement mop is mebbe $10...every now and then, 3M will run 20% discounts with homefix or ntuc... Scotch-Brite® High Performance Super Mop seem to have changed colour but mine is the green one...dunno if it's the normal mop or super mop

Nope, so it does sort of slam shut but is not overly noisy like other cheaper models...go and try at homefix for yourself and see if it's tolerable for you... this one is too big, i think i've seen before at homefix... so far, the homefix at harbourfront has the most complete set of simplehuman trash cans, big and small...suggest you all go and see there before deciding...i did that myself..

i use a normal ntuc plastic bag to line the bin - it fits well...

i think you have to use it to appreciate it...for me, the difference is the breeze is "gentler" even though it could be pointing at you directly so my eyes don't feel so dry... besides the fact it's got a smaller footprint and less "zor dang" than a standing fan - it's just as powerful, if not more...because it's an air circulator, other people in the room can also feel the breeze even tho it doesn't oscillate like a normal standing fan...the only drawback is that you gotta buy a step down transformer locally for around $23... if there is a remote control version, i'm giving my mistral to my mum !

re: vornado fans, too bad the air circulators still don't have the remote control models (the tower fans have bad reviews), otherwise i would get another one too... i'm eyeing the joseph joseph worktop savers too i have one and i love it

More goodies Cheong eames elephant Compared to the original, the finishing for this is rougher (the edges can catch on your clothes), the screw on top of the elephant is not the same as the original, and it feels distinctly less stable than the original. But for the price (original is $500+), I guess it's ok... Wrong colour ! we ordered baby blue and it turned out orange...need to go complain... Cheong eames dog For this one, we ordered the plastic one vs the fibreglass one. You can see the join right down the middle of the entire dog, although they did smoothen the join but i think the original is one single, moulded piece...very stable to sit on, compared to the elephant... Original eames elephant on the left...you can see the legs are wider...other details are only apparent when you go up close and you have an original to compare with...otherwise, you would be none the wiser except for that screw on top of the head... oh, also brought in a few more of the acrylic stools that we ordered previously (it's earlier on in this blog somewhere)...better order it before it goes out of production...as it is, they had to specially produce those few for us...
