  1. Hi peeps, I am selling a brand new 2 seater full leather high back sofa from Casa Italy. Please contact me at 9746 9828 for more details.
  2. Hi hi, Wah why take so long? Were you there earlier this afternoon? I saw one couple at my block 61C came down lift with a contractor or ID heh. Today the HDB contractor came to bring stuff for the cement screed. Will start doing it in next few days.
  3. Ha.cos I was doing my transfer for my current flat. And by the time we were asked to collect the keys, it was one day short of 7th month so we delayed it as we cannot start on anything during the 7th month.
  4. Hi peeps, You may want to consider taking up the EASE program http://www.mnd.gov.sg/BudgetDebate/Enhancement_for_Active_Seniors.html if you have elderly staying with you or if they visit frequently. You only need to provide relationship proof (birth cert) to apply for the scheme. Your parent need not be staying with you ie essential occupier (my mum is not, she has her own flat but will be staying with us). I find the tiles in the bathroom quite slippery now so welcomes the chemical treatment for the flooring. However, you can only choose one bathroom for the chemical treatment. So I will do it for common bathroom but use a non slip bath mat for the master bathroom.
  5. Hi animalbiscuit, Im above #10. Yourself? Oh dear, that's bad! Why very slow progress for your reno? I was hoping to move in by Dec man! Am not going to pay hefty mortgage and let the flat sit there.
  6. LOL! Yea we meeting the technical officer on Mon to go thru the list.
  7. Thanks. Defect list submitted today. No. 1-62!
  8. 19/20 Sept Collected keys and FS master came to take a look last week. Prepared a bag of assorted fruits, sea salt, tea leaves, rice for the 'ground breaking' ritual done by the master. Glad that the flat is suitable for the family and that the house fs and energy is not bad We were given instructions where to place the sofa, stove, fridge, sink, kitchen cabinets and shelves in the study room. They are nothing unacceptable and not impractical so we will follow the fs instructions. Walls and kitchen cabinets colour are decided. Several options for the kitchen top colour for us to decide. I was also looking at the ceiling and realized that it is all fitted with lighting points, meaning we don't have to do a false ceiling to conceal the wiring. So our cove lightings also may not materialized as I think it's a waste of money to do it when its all done up. In a dilemma now as we don't have lotsa things to do after all so might not need an ID. We decide to leave the orange tiles alone, already paid deposit for the flooring, not do cove ceiling. So what's left is really the carpentry works for the bedrooms wardrobe, shelves, kitchen cabinets (been advised by fs master to do full set on one side of kitchen only) But I'm afraid we don't know how to match the wardrobe and roman blinds colors to the flooring. Hmm... Waiting for hubby's decision whether to use his ID friend or use an contractor. Met our immediate neighbours living opposite. Good thing they quickly kept the laundry racks that took up almost half the corridor knowing that we will be moving in soon. Not so good cos they mentioned that they are glad we are not Indians when they saw us Hubby not very happy as he doesn't like racism. 24 Sept Late afternoon we went down to check for defects. Quite a list and we are not done! Masking tape with writing everywhere! Hubby is really meticulous ie. brought a torch, scour the net for defect check list and wants to check again. So we will be going up in next few day to do another round. We also have the bent top windows in the living room and one of the bedrooms We met another neighbour when I went to borrow a chair from them so we can inspect and check higher up. An old lady staying with her sister and helper. She is glad that we are moving in as she says it will be more lively on our floor. She keeps her door open which I like as we will also keep our door open if we are at home. I am so glad that our apt is quite windy inside when the windows and main door are opened. The house is bright too. Most importantly it is not warm even though the west sun hit the master bedroom at a slight angle I'm so anxious to get things going, renovate and move in quickly but hubby is the type who wants to take it slowly and not rush lest we miss out something plus he is quite busy with work. I guess I have to be patient! So happy to see children playing in the playground and elderly/housewives chit chatting in the communal area when we left at 6+. It's so windy downstairs and so clean! Hope it stays so clean always. Can't wait to move over
  9. The Casa Italy 2seater sofa 1560cm by 90cm (2 sets) we bought at Furniture Fair at Expo today. High back which hubby wants and very comfy. Full leather cowhide, height will be adjusted higher from 2inches to 3.5inches so it's easier for my elderly mama to get up from sofa and seat to be firmer which I prefer. Colour will be2 tone with the darker brown or mocha as the main body and lighter grey/brown for the trimmings or can't remember what it is called. We got the idea of buying two 2seater sofa from the neighbour we visited. They have two 2seater sofa with carpet to create a cosy corner. Hubby likes it alot. We had a hard time looking for a short 2seater with high back. We first saw this sofa at Park Mall and hubby like it. Luckily did not buy as a friend in the furnishing trade told me about the fair and told me to buy at the fair. We got it at almost half the price! We also paid deposit for the flooring. The laminate flooring (living room). I love it for the length 2m, normal laminate is abt 1.2m. It will make the space look more spacious and cos of length, will not have too many pieces. The texture is undulating hence will be non slippery. Most importantly it has the matt look. The Havana Oak (middle one) darker colour and cheaper one 1.28m length for the 3bedrooms. Very pleased with the 2buys on the last day of the fair. My ID friend says we got it at very good price. The premium laminate from Belgium and the one for bedrooms from Germany.
  10. Finally got it, managed to upload my images! Dont know how to upload PDF floorplan from ID. Using bedroom 3 for my mum room, bedroom 2 for our study.
  11. Hi Jerry, Sorry just saw your MSG. I have not decided on the ID but most likely will use my husband ID friend. Not sure if he is good tho cos haven't started on anything,
  12. Wow so near, you must have waited for a while. I went too but only managed to see them from the second floor car park. Took a lot of pictures but all far way. I did think of WA you to see if you around. Haha. I don't know how to insert photos here still
