Wow, I guess Beglas has a Big Bad service and workmanship. Lucky I didn't get the pole system from them, or else vomit blood!

I think more important is you are comfortable with the contractor/ID, a look at his current project in hands for the workmanship and quality. For me is I use Mr Jeffrey without looking for other contractor since he has done up my previous house at Bedok well, My sis-in-law also use him for major and minor reno.

Kitchen Cabinet I used Kompacplus's Kompac panel of Alaska Maple as my Kitchen top with lavender as the colour for glass backing. The cost is same as the Solid top surface. On care and maintenance section, I have soaked the sample in the water for >24hr and still feel the same after taking it out. If you have the sample, can try it with saking of water, oil, stratch it. On stratches is that it won't be so obvious compare to solid top. I believe everyone use heat pad or protective trivets to put hot cookware irregardless what type of top surface for your kitchen top. In the end is, are you comfortable to use the product, do you like the wood type of apperance and its thin thickness?
