Homeowner...how much did u get your unit for???
-
Alamak!! I thought of buying the white Billy bookcase from ikea. How? Is there anywhere else that sells white bookcase with a better laminate than the one at ikea??
-
Hahaha !! no lah! His block is opposite mine and swee swee his balcony and living room is facing mine, I think. He said his mum's unit is facing my rooms' windows. Such coincidence!
-
Oh dear...didn't know its gonna be that loud. Well...can't help it. Just hope the neighbours won't too much fuss..hehe.

Was so busy yesterday. Did not have any time to check on reno's progress. But according to warderz, my reno was going fine cos he can hear the hacking from his unit...haha! Today also looks like another longer day..sigh. Hopefully I will have time to drop by later after work. Maybe tomorrow I can go off from work by 2plus n oversee my reno.

Hahaha...is it that loud?? I have not went down to see the progress yesterday. My hubby went but he had no time to update me yet. Today if there is time maybe I'm coming down after werk in the evening. Maybe can kaypoh kaypoh check out your place...haha! Btw, at Sungai Kadut did u happen to see any sofa bed? Am currently searching for the rite one.

Haha...our hubbies seemed to prefer the same colour. But come to think of it, I'm the one who will be using the room more than him as I always bring my work home and he doesn't. Even if he has work to do he can always go to his office...its just within walking distance...hehehe.

Congrats autumnzy!!! May the reno journey be smooth sailing for u and me! Hehe..
-
No...I can't take any credit for that as the ideas were from my hubby. He's the kind who always think ahead and will cover all the bases before embarking on something.
-
Thanks...will check out those places u guys mentioned. Sigh... If u do know of any other places please inform me yah! Thanks a tonne!

Hi hi...my block is at 683D. Maybe we can arrange 1 day when all of us can go around to view each other's reno since all our blocks are within walking distance. My theme is modern minimalist. Mostly black and different shades of grey. Study will be in all white except for 1 wall, 1 sofabed and 1 cushion in the colour of tiffanyblue. Actually I wanted all white but hubby looooovvvvesss blue so gotta compromised since the rest of the house is mostly in my favour...haha! Btw my reno started yesterday!! Can check out my t-blog on the progress..hehe. Hirox, currently I'm still staying at my parent's place in sembawang. U can also join in the viewing reno club...hahaha.

I don't know the cost but I do know that real slate tiles can chip easily. Its better to get other tiles that's slate-looking. -

People...HELP! !! Went to seahorse yesterday. The $99 one is the single sofabed. The double sofabed is 150 but no cushions. Then the fabrics don't have in the colour that I want. I wanted something blue or white but don't have. Went to vhive, their sofabeds are only in red, beige and brown. How?? Totally don't go with my room that's in white and blue!

Hi Dizzy, yah I think maybe I will have to put blinds. Can u imagine, yesterday I stood under my block and scrutinise all the neighbours' balconies...hehe. I cannot post any pics of it yet as my house just started reno yesterday so rite now I'm just sourcing for things to equip my balcony...hehe. Btw, where can i get 1 of those blinds that u don't wanna spend a bomb on that though. -
kristie, that's really a good bargain. Do you have any pics of the sofabed? And what is the material of sofabed that you've bought?

Beautiful Balcony
lynzi replied to Prettibride's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
I have a question that has been bugging me. My balcony has no walls. Instead, it has full length grilles. So during rainy days, the rain will come in and after that, my balcony floor will need cleaning. I don't want to put windows as me and hubby love the open space. However, are there any6 other ways to minimise the rain coming in??? -
Oh no no! We got back all the deposits because before we pay any deposit we made sure that the deposit is refundable if we decided not to take from them. We also made sure that they wrote it in the contract and not just saying it by mouth. Hubby also informed them that we are considering from other companies too so that they will give their best in the perspective drawings.

Really? There are sofa beds at sea horse?? At the causeway point branch also have is it? If they have it there then I'm going down after 3 later.

Hi dear autumnzy, check out in my t-blog on the latest update on my 1st day of reno works!
-
I only managed to view 1 of their projects. I requested to do so before making up my mind to sign on the dotted line as at that point of time, me and hubby had also placed deposits with 2 other reno companies. We kiasu ah..hehe So...latest update on my 1st day of reno works. At 9plus just now my hubby dropped by to see the progress. They had dismantled and taken down the old kitchen cabinet and hacked the mbr toilet. Hubby said only 2 workers doing at that point of time. Quite fast ah. Hope everything goes well!
-
Yup homeowner...i'm doing kitchen carpentry as well but I got 20ft foc as it comes with the kitchen and 2 bathrooms package. Wah Allo..i did not even think of checking about the factory or workers cos I've seen 1 of the units designed by Mr K at Telok Blangah. I'm satisfied with their workers workmanship when I went there.

Green Walls?
lynzi replied to krisietong's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
Yup...i agree! Green will certainly look nice and like diva79 said, it should be in the same colour family as your browns. Lime green will make it look modern which is not what you want to achieve. So go get green with brown undertones. Plus a few plants around your house will lokk fab! -
Hi allo...hmm..I'm not quite sure about that. If I'm not wrong they do have their own. Quite many people here taking the same ID as mine so peeps, please correct me if I'm wrong ok?
