  1. Very nice English country style home. Looks so cosy & inviting. I especially like the TB mirroring your common bath and the tiling for your master bedroom & kitchen. Happy moving in.
  2. Congrats on moving into your new home. Agree with the rest that your home looks really lovely & cosy.
  3. Welcome to Renotalk and congrats on the completion of your Reno. Looks great! Love your TV console and your view is super awesome. Happy moving in and enjoy your new home.
  4. Welcome to Renotalk. Wow! Looks like a full scale Reno job. Very nice 3D pics. Looking fwd to more updates & seeing the final outcome.
  5. Omazz mattress is from $2k+ onwards. It depends if you going for full latex or those latex pillow top with spring bottom. The full latex is more expensive. I got the 3 layer latex during a sale for $4k+.
  6. I've been using my Omazz mattress & pillows for about 1-month now and it's fantastic. It's soft enough to provide a mild "sink-in" feeling while at the same time providing all round comfort & support. I have back problem and always suffered back & neck aches with my previous Simmons mattress. But now, no more achy backs or sore neck. My 3 gals also using Omazz and they love their mattresses & pillows so much. A testimony of this will be them sleeping in late now instead of bouncing out of bed at 7:30am on weekends. In case anyone is wondering, Omazz is latex mattress not memory foam, and its not hot to lie on. No regrets with our purchase. Especially as we spend at least 8-hrs daily on our beds, this is a good investment. A good nights sleep works wonders in energizing & preparing our bodies for work the next day.
  7. The shop has several different types of material and prints that you can choose & customise your bean bag, to suit your home deco. My gals chose 100% cotton in 1 solid color for each bean bag. If I'm not wrong, I saw suede, canvas, colorful prints, leopard prints, etc. Instead of just 1 solid color for the bean bags, you even have the option of getting it in 2 different colours. Plus point, the bean bag comes with 2 covers. The 1st cover is waterproof canvas, this holds the styrofoam beans. Then on top, we have the cotton cover. The reason for having 2 covers is, in the event the cotton cover gets soiled, I can easily remove it for washing, whilst the beans remain secure in the 1st waterproof cover. HTH's.
  8. Wow!! Condition looks really good. You're so lucky!
  9. I have a Miele vacuum cleaner and I love it! I chose the Cats & Dogs model as I've got a few pets at home. Comes with Hepa filter and utilizes the bag system, Suction is strong, noise level still manageable and I love the bag system. After vacuuming, if the bag is not full enough, I'll just pack the Miele back into the storeroom. In fact, I can use the same bag for quite a few more times before it is full and requires a change. Once every 3 months, I'll wash out the hose & pipe to prevent built up of dirt that can cause the vacuum to emit those horrid smell. Thumbs up for Miele.
  10. I got my bean bags from a shop at Park Mall, basement. They have many different styles of bean bags to choose from. You can even select the fabric. If you go to my t-blog (see link below), you'll be able to see 3 brightly colored bean bags in my gals study room. Can't really remember the price, but I think each bean bag costs about $200+. HTH's.
  11. Thanks for the info Macuser. I'll go Vivo and try it out then. Hopefully it's much better then the one I got from Robinsons.
  12. Wow!! You are ssoo lucky to have this recess area. So nice to have a mini private area at your main entrance. Love your fence and the tiling looks good.
  13. It's always good to have store room. Else will be headache to find storage for bulky items like vacuum cleaner, pails, christmas tree & CNY deco, luggage, etc. Then next time when have kiddos, will need more space to store things like play pen, stroller, etc. I love tons of storage space as I'm a clean freak and get really annoyed when things are not put away properly. Then again, many young couples get by pretty well without a store room too.
  14. Congrats! What type of house did you purchase? Which part of SG? Any floor plan to share?
  15. Thank you for the compliments. And... Congrats on your new purchase too. Look forward to seeing your updates & pics.
  16. Hahah... All parents are pandas. But must be so worth it to play with him and see him smile. Yes yes. Pls post pic. Wah. The feeling of staying in an EM is so shiok. Although it was a huge change shifting from condo back to HDB (especially for my 3 gals) but everyone seems so much happier. The spaciousness and proximity to central is fantastic. But, the cleaning & house chores is 'siong'. Time to 'out source' the easier tasks to my little helpers. Lol.
  17. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the EM club. Always so exciting to move to a bigger place.
  18. Thanks HappyAng. How is HappyAng Jr doing? Got any pics to post? I love looking at BB's. heheh. Thank you Annastans. Lucky it's easy finding Victorian French inspired furnishings in Sg. Only wished it wasn't so **** expensive. Lol.
  19. Thanks for the info. Which Home Fix did you get it from? Was there any Demo set?
  20. Aahh... That time I was super upset by the breakage & spoilage. My rice cooker can no longer cook cos my maid decides to wash the whole cooker wire & all. My pots & pans were banged up and burnt black. Last straw came when my claypot hello kitty ended up on the floor. That's when I decided to downsize and prevent more heartache.
  21. Thanks MK. Yes. I love Hello Kitty stuffs. Used to frequent Kaikai & Kitty Palace. Too bad my ex-maids spoilt most of my Hello Kitty appliances, broke several crockery and spoilt a few towels & mats. I've also set up flea markets stalls and downsized my collection a fair bit.
  22. Welcome to the EM club! Serangoon is a nice area... Not cheap too. Look forward to your updates.
  23. Hahahaha.... Thank you. This is a "must" for me. To give me less stress and grieve. Previously, they had communal cabinets and storage areas. Big mistake. Cos whenever there is a mess, they'll push the blame around. When they wore the wrong clothes, they'll accuse each other of taking things without permission. Worse is when they start fighting over study space. Major headache. Now with clearly designated areas, less points for contention. Aahhh... The sound of silence.
  24. Hi Macuser, Can share how much you got this steam mop for? Recently, I bought a steam mop from Robinsons (cost me $159) and I'm actually quite disappointed with it. Cos after steam mopping half my living room, it will start leaving water behind and as I go along, the floor gets wetter and wetter. Does this happen with the black & decker steam mop? I'm hoping to find a steam mop that actually steams and cleans without leaving my floor wet.
  25. Thanks. Hhmm... Reno costs (excld appliances & furnishing) is close to 6-figure sum.
