if i am the contractor i woudn't sue you just to get the 30%. first i have to spent money on lawyer. then there is the risk that you'll counter sue me for misleeding you to sign at the first place. i'll just keep the $1000 and move on. cos i already earn $1000 without doing anything. but if the contract sum is big and 30% is alot i might consider.

There is an alternative, you can go for pivot door. there wouldn't be any door frame, work like a glass door (top & bottom hinge) except it is make of laminate. clean looks
