  1. blueshear, gd to know. i'm pretty convinced it doesnt trap heat more than other materials.
  2. I see. I asked because a friend of mine had concrete screed finish floors and walls in an area of the house which received quite a bit of afternoon sun and I felt there was a lot of heat emitted from the surface. However it could have just been the heat trapped in any material, be it concrete or not.
  3. The layout looks like the aston I was considering buying a unit there Although it was "squarish", I thought the layout had a lot of opportunities to have ***** elements.
  4. Thanks for the honest insight, blueeeeie! Hope your reno completes really soon so you may move in
  5. I like reading your blog. And kudos on being consistent with the tilings/furniture/lighting. I think that is very hard to do! Hope to embark on my own reno journey soon enough and will definitely speak to your contractor. I understand the sensitivity about pricing, however, would you classify his pricing as low, average or high?
  6. The metal bedroom sliding door is awesome. May I ask where it is from?
  7. I've wondered if concerete screed traps heat throughout the day and emits the heat in the evening? I raise this because I really like the look but am afraid that the home will be warm when I come home. Any insights/opinions/experiences to share?
  8. That's what I thought! Thanks for input Do u happen to know what does those cloud-like symbols mean?
  9. Just hoping for some off hand advice from some experts here. I managed to get scan of the BCA approved plan
  10. Can anyone comment whether this wall can be knocked down? I am looking to reno to open up the bedroom The original plan is the first one, the second on shows the wall (in red) which I would like to knock down. Thanks for any comments.
  11. Hello everyone, Lately I've been seeing a lot of furniture platforms/decks/lofts for new launches where the ceiling is quite high. For instance the Tennery by Far East Organisation and also Up@Robertson Quay. I was wondering how expensive it is to build on and what are the legal issues surrounding such a furniture deck? I think it looks very nice in a apartment with a high ceiling. Any input is appreciated!
