Concrete Screed Walls
greglhc replied to greglhc's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
I see. I asked because a friend of mine had concrete screed finish floors and walls in an area of the house which received quite a bit of afternoon sun and I felt there was a lot of heat emitted from the surface. However it could have just been the heat trapped in any material, be it concrete or not. -
Journey Home
greglhc replied to mishmish's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat - Condo Interior Design and Landed Renovation
The layout looks like the aston I was considering buying a unit there Although it was "squarish", I thought the layout had a lot of opportunities to have ***** elements.- 337 replies

I like reading your blog. And kudos on being consistent with the tilings/furniture/lighting. I think that is very hard to do! Hope to embark on my own reno journey soon enough and will definitely speak to your contractor. I understand the sensitivity about pricing, however, would you classify his pricing as low, average or high?

Just hoping for some off hand advice from some experts here. I managed to get scan of the BCA approved plan -
Can anyone comment whether this wall can be knocked down? I am looking to reno to open up the bedroom The original plan is the first one, the second on shows the wall (in red) which I would like to knock down. Thanks for any comments.

Hello everyone, Lately I've been seeing a lot of furniture platforms/decks/lofts for new launches where the ceiling is quite high. For instance the Tennery by Far East Organisation and also Up@Robertson Quay. I was wondering how expensive it is to build on and what are the legal issues surrounding such a furniture deck? I think it looks very nice in a apartment with a high ceiling. Any input is appreciated!
