just signed up with Kelvin less than 2weeks back Met him up at his Furniture Mall office, went through the quotation and we signed on the spot. We're due to see the 3D drawings and Kelvin have been calling me many times just to fix appointment to discuss and view it, and many times i never gotten back to him because can't seems to find a right timing whereby my wife and me are free, and still he was ever so accomodating Kelvin came across to me as frank person whereby some view him as 'blunt'(it's like a half filled glass of water, or a half empty glass of water, depends on how some1 look as it) . Oh well, for me and my wife, wei rather like a frank/blunt ID->can do say can do. Cannot do say cannot do. I don't wanna risk getting an ID who promised me the sky and yet cannot deliver. Just look at the many cases of unhappy incidents that house owners have met, paid depost and in the end (project hasn't start, contractor/ID run away). Owners(me) engages Kelvin, knowing he will deliver what he promises. I can imagine the stress he have taking up projects now(given his popularity and reputation). All it takes is one 'unhappy' owner to spoil his hard earned reputation/his good works (so i assume he wouldn't take up so much projects at one go, thereby risking it, if he can't cope it) Finally, we have time to meet him next week Can't wait to see the 3D designs -
it's at the living room. Like what kayser said, certain rooms does have that too indeed eyesore..
-
kayser, so you'll be plastering them up? Then do we need to plaster whole house then? I remembered the rooms do have that also
-
for those who have gotten their units or those whom have saw your units. did you noticed the walls have this 'lines' Personally i find it quite eye sore but ID told me no point plastering it up, because few years down the road, hairline cracks will appear (it happened to my parents' place too, they plastered it up but years later, many hariline cracks appeared. Headache, don't know whether to leave it alone, or do something to it? What you guys/gals be doing to it then?

Chanced upon this website (talking about Sembawang, Yishun & Woodlands) http://www.yishuntown.com/index.htm Seems like we'll have swimming pool in Sembawang Extract from the website : The URA Draft Master Plan includes plans for a Sembawang Activity Corridor stretching from the MRT to Jalan Legundi. This corridor will involve more development on the vacant site next to the MRT at Canberra Road, a new Sembawang Sports Complex with swimming pool on the old Chong Pang Village site, more open air dining in the Jalan Legundi area, and a park connector pathway along the river to Yishun Avenue 2. There are also plans for a park connector from Woodlands through Sembawang to Yishun, all along underneath the MRT.

mystique_j, so far how's your defects list coming along? Just check on the Sembawang Town Council website, wah, BBQ pits really limited in Sembawang In fact only 2 pits were listed (1) 493 Admiralty Link (2) 469 Admiralty Drive Guess they see no needs for more pits because Sembawang Park have plentiful of it

Tried le. Even say i going for oversea assignment so hoping can get keys earlier And this is their reply Alternatively, you may wish to defer your key collection until after your overseas assignment. You may submit your overseas posting letter to us so that we can schedule an appropriate date for you when you return.

Don't think it's allowed. There are people who have enquired from HDB, offering to top up for their own tiles but HDB rejected it. Just gotten a reply from my HDB officer (i tried to enquire to take posession of my unit earlier) : Dear Albert, As improvement works are being carried out to the whole contract, for safety reasons we are sorry we unable to issue keys to applicants earlier than 6 months notification period. We seek your understanding. Does it means we must wait till all blocks have finished their rectifications, then they can start issuing keys?
-
Don't think you'll have the chance/choice to choose.
-
Just saw on gkrobots.com, they are selling refurbished scheduling remote @ $49. Seems like a very good buy. But too bad i bought my scheduler weeks ago
-
chemie, for your unit, HDB would rehack and relay all tiles in the house, kitchen, balcony, living room, bedrooms, toilets. Toilet bowls changes too, house painted. There should be somemore (the bros and sis here will feed more info if there's anything that i miss out) Welcome to Sembawang Homers!!

Hope i get him as my TO then
-
kayser and mystique_j, do keep us updated on your defect checkings with your TO. Hopefully they are nice and helpful, then if we kena the same TO, then it's easier for us. LOL
-
thanks for the information!!

seems like gk got quite an attractive price for their Scooba 380. going for $880. Someone in HWZ highlighted, he paid nearing 1K getting from US and shipping it to Singapore http://forums.hardwarezone.com/showthread....ge=26&pp=15

hi kayser, i mean, are they friendly? helpful? Because rectification go through them, and forumers did advised before, if the TO is good, it does help alot. I guess our TO would be pretty much the same person, so wonder how's your experience with them?
-
you mean ours confirm? end of aug getting keys??
-
oppss...sorry.. TO = Technical Officer. the person whom you'll aliase with for your rectifications
