H FSM are not religious clerics and thus should not be employed to host such ceremonies. It largely depends on which Buddha, Boddhisattva or Deity you are worshipping ... If its a Buddhist one consult a Buddhist cleric, if a Taoist one, consult a proper Taoist priest. Do not turn to FSM for religious arenas, they r neither proper buddhist nor taoist clerics. ÎÀÉŽà›Î

There is a large portion of people who belives that every religion is the same as long it preaches good, some calls it humanity. Bascially, i do agree that there are many common points btw religions, esp the basics but however, we should not and is unfair to take common points and start to "bundle up" every religion under our own preferences. We have the total freedom to believe what we want but should not be at the cost of trespassing into another religious beliefs. To create a harmonize society n country and world. Understanding, tolerance and mutal respect must be given and preactised, if not the world gonna be at chaos. But again. when it comes into another system of beliefs trespassing into another religion, by all means its a wrong step and this step itself is not respecting. No matter its Buddhism, Taoism. Christianity, roman catholicism, fengshui, islam etc etc.. we ought to respect them as a indiviual religion itself. We dun start top respect them by putting Catholic saints in temples and the Quran in the churches and while Fengshui advising buddhists to place buddhist icons etc. for example, just like the catholics, christian and buddhist councils are aganist fengshui, then fengshui should not try to convince and speak for the respective religious councils and inturn ask them to refer to fengtshui. Where there are personal interests. there aqre a;lso religious duties and obligations to carry out. Have a nice n blessed weekend

Requoted from Kopikao on the Catholic and Christian stand on fengshui QUOTE If Feng Shui is used as a set of principles to optimise the physical environment for the comfort of the family, it is acceptable. However, as is commonly the case, the use of Feng Shui is about bringing 'luck' to the family. This would be contrary to the beliefs of Christianity, which teaches that all things are known by God and are according to His will. The other aspect of the use of Feng Shui is that it should not lead others to think that a Christian family has befallen into some superstitious beliefs, thus causing scandal. regards, Veritas webmaster ask@catholic.org.sg QUOTE Thank you for your question. The church is generally against all forms of superstition that hold people in thrall. However, you should separate what is cultural from what is superstitious. May we please refer to you to Daniel Tong’s book on A Biblical Approach to Chinese Traditions and Beliefs, available at www.armourpublishing.com Or you may approach any Methodist pastor for advice. Peace, Web Team Previous reply from churches when email on belief of Christan faith on Feng shui [i wld like to remind ALL forummers to be mindful of your own actions & words. I have made it clear in the previous reply, that to put the Buddha is any area is allright as a Buddhist. First, the statue of the Buddha only appered 500 yrs after the Buddha's Parinibbana Second, Buddha images are not icons which the buddha resides in it, it is a represtation of enlightenement and whatever good qualities the Buddha has attained. Eg: The statue of the Buddha normally features the 32 great marks of a Great Aryan and thus the Buddha statue is supposed to be a melting point of our faith and arise the 80 kind of Tathagatha magnificent qualities within us that the Buddha posses. Third, the placement of Buddha statues in anywhere is bascially a state of mind and in your case, u feel that it is disrespectful for u to honour the Buddha in yr room then you should not, afterall, u got such high reveration n respect for the Buddha is indeed a good sign. So, its bascially about "You feel respectful in where, then that place is a good place". Let see our christian friends around whom has non-christian families, they too put their little cross and bible in their room to pray and communicate with God. Will Jesus or God see him/ her changing in the room also ??? Fourth, Buddhists are not idol worshippers one of the 10 titles of the Buddha is "All knowing" (Zheng Pian Zhi" the Buddha need not see thru a Buddha statue cos the Buddha virtually can see us anywhere and anytime even without a statue. Fifth. most japs houses are open concept without room and thus a Butsudan is made to cover the Buddha statues from sexual activities as a mark of respect, as again i would say its good ... how about wetern buddhists who places Buddha statues or altars in their rooms and carry out sex ? Its also not wrong, as long they rever and respect the Buddha. It is more of a cultural problem rather than a religious one. Sixth, not only you have christians and catholic frens seeking fengshui advise, i too met many. BUT the basic stand from the church is aganist ! and thus should be followed. I see Catholics praying to Guan Yin in desperate situations and indian christians placing hindu deities beside the cross on their altar. But again, this does not jutify them to be right, it should be a practise according to the church or their system of belief not personal style / choice. seventh, I am offering my service on a free basis. WHY ? becos i believe Buddhism should be free and of help to buddhist families in the process of moving a new house or placement of altars. As compared to Buddhists turning to Fengshui alternatives. HMmMm... see if anyone got charged by my service b4 or not ? oh pls ... not even an angpow. oPpPSSS... talking bout high monks placing buddha statues in room ah ? u got to check it out for yrself ... i think almost eveery monk got that Buddha statues in their room ... even my shifu, he got loads of it !!!!!!!!!!! terrible and messy wor ... (haha... i mean not my style la) still got who ah ? Ohh .. u were talking about Ven Hong Choon, u vist his room loh .. still well kept n preserved, he also got many ... it is realy a issue of comfortableness or not .. not so much on the area. This is why whenwver i deal with houses, i alway ask them "where u think u wanna place?" what is the theme of yr house ? do u understand the function of the Buddha statue and a altar ? Buddha statues are not blocks of wood and stones that the Buddha resides in and neither a magic object that will bring anything to your house. it is to bring about serentiy, confidence and faith in the Buddha. Supposed I am a poor boy who stays in a toliet, am i wrong to honour the Buddha in the toilet ? The ans. The Buddha is just within us. Also thanks for putting my room's picture out to share !! but haven renovate yet .. will update everyone when my room finished reno ... Ahh ... the Buddha statue in my room is so wonderful ... so nice that i almosy treat it as an art piece !!! where's my faith ????? haha ... Talking about my altar ... i so fedup with my ID tell me "no plp use altar black colour wor" piak his backside !!! cannot expect me put a dragon oriental chinese altar in the centre of my living room with the theme of modern contempary and black used as the main colour to bring out the "class" in it. haha ... deduct my ID's fees liao ! Anyway, i think black n white is now more widely accepted by younger couples but be careful of yr mum and dad's grumbling at yr new house with all those "black spots" which the older generations sees as a mourning and inauspicious colour. no taboos .. no superstitions ... this is Buddhism ! P/s: Moderator, ermmm... i am not promoting buddhism here but replying to questions quoting sources dun wanna any misunderstandings.

Seven ways of settling disputes, Adhikaranasamatha. The Buddha concludes the disciplinary rules for bhikkhus with a Chapter on seven ways of settling cases, Adhikaranasamatha. Four kinds of cases are listed: (i) Vivadadhikarana — Disputes as to what is dhamma, what is not dhamma; what is Vinaya, what is not Vinaya; what the Buddha said, what the Buddha did not say; and what constitutes an offence, what is not an offence. (ii) Anuvadadhikarana — Accusations and disputes arising out of them concerning the virtue, practice, views and way of living of a bhikkhu. (iii) Apattadhikarana — Infringement of any disciplinary rule. (iv) Kiccadhikarana — Formal meeting or decisions made by the Samgha. For settlement of such disputes that may arise from time to time amongst the Order, precise and detailed methods are prescribed under seven heads: (i) Sammukha Vinaya — before coming to a decision, conducting an enquiry in the presence of both parties in accordance with the rules of Vinaya. (ii) Sati Vinaya — making a declaration by the Samgha of the innocence of an Arahat against whom some allegations have been made, after asking him if he remembers having committed the offence. (iii) Amulha Vinaya — making a declaration by the Samgha when the accused is found to be insane. (iv) Patinnata Karana — making a decision after admission by the party concerned. (v) Yebhuyyasika Kamma — making a decision in accordance with the majority vote. (vi) Tassapapiyasika Kamma — making a declaration by the Samgha when the accused proves to be unreliable, making admissions only to retract them, evading questions and telling lies. (vii) Tinavattharaka Kamma the act of covering up with grass' — exonerating all offences except the offences of Parajika, Samghdisesa and those in connection with laymen and laywomen, when the disputing parties are made to reconcile by the Samgha. Kevatta Sutta The Buddha was residing at Nalanda in Pavarika's mango grove. A devoted lay disciple approached the Buddha and urged him to let one of his disciples perform miracles so that the City of Nalanda would become ever so much devoted to the Buddha. The Buddha told him about the three kinds of miracles which he had known and realised by himself through supernormal knowledge. The first miracle, iddhipatihariya was rejected by the Buddha because it could be mistaken as the black art called Gandhari magic. The Buddha also rejected the second miracle, adesana patihariya which might be mistaken as practice of Cintemani charm. He recommended the performance of the third miracle, the anusasani patihariya, the miracle of the power of the Teaching as it involved practice in Morality, Concentration and Knowledge leading finally to the extinction of Asavas, Asavakkhaye Nana. more coming up ...

I would describe a person who idolizes Buddha statues without much apprehension of Buddhism and in yr case practise and advising plp on Fengshui issues in the identity of a Buddhist is a total wrong. Neither is he a renounced or lay cleric. Secondly, being a Buddhist that fengshui is not allowed to be practised in a code of religious belief, thus such "FSM" who often appears with double identity as a religious man as well as a FSM is contradiciting and thu cannot be even called upon as a Buddhist or at least not a good representation of the Buddhist Faith. Third, the Buddha statue being only an object that rep enlightenment and faith is Ok to be placed anywhere at any point of the house with faith and due respect. In the west, angmo buddhists place Buddha statues in the room and have their sexual union. In Japan, Buddha statue are placed in Butsudans and when not worshipped, they are closed within the box becos jap homes are small and they feel disrespectful to expose the Buddha statues to sex and homely issues. Therefore, it is a cultural and mind qns if the Buddha is ok to be placed in the room, I have my Buddha statue in my room as well ... see from my blog. But again, anywhere, any place is OK, most impt is we deeply respect n rever the Buddha within our hearts. So both of yr provided answers to yr own questions are not my answers and not a Buddhist answer either. You can badmouth and slander me for being a a shame to my faith but I would definetly not give up in protecting the Buddhist Faith from superstitions which has quietly creep into Buddhism. A Buddhist do not only speak, he/she thinks, understands, comprehends, practises, abide, refutes and shares it generously with people. Ahhh ... I have no idea if te moderator considers mace as personal attack such as "GREAT SHAME" and placing hard words which had never appeared in my posts such as "lunatic" and "Devil" which appeared more than once. But my conclusion, ultimately, Fengshui is not helping mace to keep his or her cool. =P No is a No ... not only the Christians n Catholic Churches are waving NO to fengshui, the Buddhists are also waving NO to fengshui. On any account or ocassion, I have no intensions to degrade or denouce fengshui and it's beautiful theories, I just wanna keep fengshui out from buddhists and Buddhism. Thank you

Not the Buddha said ?? reference for u : VINAYA PITAKA - ON CONDUCT OF BUDDHISTS, MAGIC AND PREDICITIONS. Alternatively, you can visit any Buddhist temples there ... www.4ui.com or visit the Buddhist Library located at Geylang Lor 24 or infact anywhere online regarding Buddhism and Fengshui. Come on .. FIRST u say Christians n Catholics can see fengshui .. so u wanna complain that the 2 responses from the Christians and Catholics councils are wrong ? Try Buddhist ? Dun even do that ... Buddhism is NOT A NAME that u guys can dabble and mix with Fengshui ! More reference coming up for u ... Badger. have already gave the references for u ... it can be checked from the Buddhist Canon itself .. need not use my source, use any source from any authentic buddhist temple's library or even online, u can find the answer. More sources will be coming up for u for what the Buddha says, so pls dun say that the Buddha did not say and accused that i say it . I am a buddhist and i follow the Buddha's teachings only not humans.

apple. u got good observation and understanding. Lemon, Although the common point is that all religions teaches plp to be good and avoid from evil, every religion has its own religious obligations, duties, roles and commandments to follow. As provided the answer from the christian n catholics clerics that the church is aganist all forms of fengshui and you should not on the other hand infringe another religion and start asking plp not to be tied down by their religion. Unless you are the pope or Bishop. We ought to respect other people's religon and not ask them not to be tied down by their beliefs. It is a duty to carry out our religious responsibilities. Eg: Should yr muslim fren going out for a dinner with u and tells u that he/she is unable to consume pork due to his/her religious duties and u start telling him not to be tied down to islam ? Afterall, beef or pork are just food to fill our stomachs ? or should we respect his/her faith and beliefs as a muslim ? Fengshui being not acceptable in the beliefs and practises of Buddhists, Christians and Catholics is a fact whic ought to be respected and followed. Not by a few mere words such as "Dun be tied down by yr religion", you may end up infringing and promoting teachings aganist the Faith. This is very much about religious sensitivity and trespassing into religious grounds. Its true that all of us are of red blood regardless of nationality, religions and creed. But we cannot take common points and start to "rojak" everything as one. Your father is a man and so is mine but your father is not mine and neither mine is yours. They may be same but identity are different. We cannot possibily go out and start calling every man your father or every woman as mum. thank you for yr kind understanding

Hi modertor, the problem arise from mace associating a religious man who is a Buddhist as well as a FSM at the same time. As mentioned, Buddhists or Buddhism does not advocate fengshui. The statement that mace made is higly misrepresenting Buddhism / the roles of Buddhists thus linking to the view and belief of a Buddhist "religious man" is a FSM and therefore its Ok for Buddhists to consult Fengshui since the FSM is a Buddhist. Again, I have no objectiona in any forms of beliefs outside Buddhism, the minimum point, dun associate and trespass into Buddhism and get Buddhism misrepresented. It is a issue of religious senstivity and the rights of a religion. Just like in another thread, a few members commented that it is OK for christians n catholics to dabble in fengshui cos its not linked to religion, BUT Kopikao which had made an effort to approach the Christians and Catholic groups had proven an email that the Church is aganist all forms of Fengshui as a form of practise aganist the Christian code of Belief. Buddhists do not consult fengshui and cannot practise or give advise on Fengshui to others. It is a fact, Fengshui was never Buddhism n the Buddhist stand is more or less the same as the Christian / Catholic stand. It is highly a disrespect to the Buddhist faith but comments such as "it is Ok for buddhists to dabble in fengshui, since fengshui is not about religion but nature and harmony" It is a highly irresponsible statement that is made without much feeling of the Buddhist Faith and the understanding of the codes of beliefs of the Buddhist Faith.

Hi Moderator, Let me clarify 1) mace actually quoted that someone checks Bazi n fengshui quoted here "we went to a old man(FSM) in marsiling b4, very tok kong and very cheap. He is a hardcore buddhist, thats why many things either free or very low price." so, to clarify the Buddhist stand, there is a strong need to refute such misrepesntation, esp linking the buddhist faith n fengshui under one areana talk. 2) I am basically not here to discuss religion, but to clarify the dis-assocaition of Religion and Fengshui. Esp when we see so many Fengshui masters dabbling the name of Buddhism in the practise of fengshui to their customers. 3) Bascially, I have no grudges over fengshui if it does not trespass into the buddhist "jurisdication". 4) As a Buddhist myself, I am encouraging and reminding Buddhists out there that there issn't a need to practise fengshui nor believe in it due to our religious duities. 5) To bring awareness that religion being part of our lives and family building, is vital and important, instead of being misrepresented. 6) Many young couples out there do not even understand their own Buddhist faith, as a result fall into the FSM who suggests things that does not apply to Buddhists or Buddhist statues. 7) As mentioned by many hardcore fengshui belivers, fengshui is about harmony and nature and common sense and has nothing linked to religion BUT BUT BUT very often, such true Fengshui consultants are rare and most of these self proclaimed masters actually start to ask their customers and even Buddhists to "xie tu, dong tu, an chuan, placing of Buddhist icons/ statues" the worse kinds even turn their back and become a religious cleric and start to do "Kai Guang" and empowering of statues and dedicating homes. This shows how much fengshui has degraded when they trespass into the Buddhist arena. 8) I repeated many times that fengshui by itself should be a beautiful thing without religious afflications. True Fengshui is science and common sense that will create a better enviroment for the family to live. Lastly, it is my responsibility as a Buddhist to protect the Buddhist faith from misrepresentations in any circumstances both cyber and real life. thank you.

Hi jube, The Buddha strictly probhited his followers to dabble in all form of predictions, magic and fengshui practises. Please note that Buddhism is not associated with Bazi nor fengshui. Enquire from any Buddhist temples out there, www.4ui.com the venerables and clerics there would be more than happy to help ya clear this myth of associating Buddhism with Fengshui/ Bazi. so, do not be mislead by people claiming to be buddhist and yet practising stuffs that the Buddha did not allow. Esp when alot of FSM like to assciate with Buddhism or Buddhist monks.

Clarification About Dong Tu, Moving In Etc
enci replied to dizzy's topic in Bazi Consultation by Mr Chong
Every day is a good day, every time is a good time ~ No day & time will be good with no proper effort. Similarly, every position is a good position. feel right, happy and righteous effort = best "fengshui" u r ultimateloy yr own fengshui master Be a master of yr mind not mastered by mind - The Buddha -
forever, if u r a Buddhist, then it does not matter and fengshui need not be applied and practised. The Buddhist's practical solution is " u happy then ok liao ". Alternatively, if u r a "fengshui-ist" , Taoist or non-buddhist, it is encourgable u consult a good fsm, which I personally think yr own "feel" is more impt.

something to add on ... i would not call or consider other religious faith as superstitions ... i may disagree on a theological stand but we should not call other religions as superstitious esp when they did not trespass into the buddhist arena. Supposed if one fine day, I was told that God says Buddha is a Devil ... or Buddha is a catholic saint ... i would definetly voice up te Buddhist stand. The fact that Buddha did not allow fengshui practises is a rule not set by me but by Buddha himself. Perhaps u may consider slamming the Buddha ? (note: The Buddha also probhited all forms of astrologies, magic, future predicments) I cant bear to say if issit u wanna see Buddhism "harmonzie" in such a way that Buddhists starts to disregard the teachings of the Buddha ? The Buddha did not merely prohibit us from such practises, the Buddha further mentioned that by one's effort n faith and reasons should things be treated and problems be solved. This is also why the Buddha says that being able to arise faith n joyful hearts upon hearing the sublime Dhamma is indeed sweet nectar for these people. Let me clarify again , i do not hate fengshui ... and i respect fengshui by itselg without assocaiting with Buddhism, Buddhists, buddhist practises n beleifs. And also do not treat Buddha statues like lucky oranments that will change anything ... the statue of the Buddha is merely a rep of Enlgithenement n our meeting point of faith. Homage to Lord Buddha!

Yesh .... A true Son of the Buddha .. a Monk aka Bikkhu does not practise such and the buddha probihited all forms of practices with such. As for Ven Hong Choon ... I would say that he is equally wrong ... howeveer u would like to visit www.kspks.org to visit the abbot ven Guang sheng to clarify that myth and hearsays that Ven Hong Choon relly sees fengshui ???? Its quite impossible for me to verify with a dead man but i think its always good for u to check out with the person or his successor instead of hearing those stories and hearrsays outside. I dun hate fengshui .. fengshui is someting wonderful by itself .. what i want is to DISSASSOCIATE fengshui with Buddhism a nd Buddhists practises/ beliefs. As a Buddhist, we all should abide the Buddha's advise to keep away from such stuffs. The Buddhist stand is the same as Catholic and Christians ... do not associate with religion . somthing to add on .. If u r pissed off with what the Buddha says .. then u r not fit to be a Buddhist either ... do refer to the Buddha's vinaya regard such issues. Harmony of what buddhism taught is not fengshui ... and harmony does not mean we start dabbling all kinds of beleifs into the umbrella of Buddhism .... The ultimate qns is "How buddhistic are u as a Buddhist?" A true Buddhist rely of the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha as the only source of refuge. One who constantly rejoices upon the dhamma, practises it and shares it generously with people, indeed a Buddhist Kopikao has rendered such a good ans from the catholics and Christians ... this will clear the "myth" for many people who claims that it is OK for catholics n christians to practise fengshui ... Thanks again to Kopikao

Badger, pls check with SBF then ... who says SBF does not register Tibetean Buddhist Organisations ??? Morever, number does not mean anything ... As for taking all the Kamma, i am most willing ... Relics does not means anything in Buddhism, relics are often reprenstation of the Buddha's qualities of Sila, Samadhi and Panna ( Jie Ding Hui) I am not saying that yr organisation is a fake one .. I am saying your Sutra "True BUddha sutra" is a fake one ... Morever, what basis does Mr Lu have to use "Thus i have heard" ru shi wo wen ?? DIDNT U KNOW THAT THE BUDDHA ONLY COMMANDED TO VEN ANANDA to use "thus i have heard" . May i also question if the true buddha sutra was compiled in which council ???? are u a buddhist or taoist ? how come tbs worship taoist deities ? excuse from mr lu ... he was once a taoist under the patron saint Yao Chi Golden Goddess .. so as a heart of gratitude, so must pray ... right ??? then TBS should be Buddhist or Taoist ? If Buddhism and taoism is said to be the same as u mentioned, then what is the need for Taoist Federation and Buddhist Federation ... One originated in China while one in India .. one with Lord Sakyamuni Buddha as the Original Teacher and founder while the other with San Ching and Lao Zi as the main patrons. Since when Buddhist got tailsman like mr Lu ??? Pls spare Buddhism and Taoism off ... u r either a Buddhist or Taoist ... NO pure tibetean Buddhists practise wat TBS does ... For the sake of the true Dhamma, I will willing to take up all responbilities ! Namo Ben Shi Shijiamouni fo !

佛教崇拜神鬼嗎 很明顯的一個正信的佛教徒唯有崇拜佛、法、僧──三寶絕不崇拜神鬼但是正信的佛教並不否認神鬼的存在因為神鬼也是六道輪迴的兩大流類。所以佛教所說的神不是神教所說的上帝佛教所說的鬼也不是神教所說的魔鬼。佛教所說的神也是凡界的眾生佛教所說的魔是在欲界的第六天所以佛教的魔是魔、鬼是鬼。佛教的魔也有四種天魔、五蘊魔、煩惱魔、死魔除了天魔其餘三魔也都出於各人自我的生理及心理。 佛教的神通常是在天與鬼之間大褔的鬼便是神天的扈從往往是神。鬼有多財鬼、少財鬼、餓鬼多財大褔鬼雖在鬼道也享天褔民間一般所崇拜的神多半就是大褔的鬼。神有天神、空神、地神又可分天神、畜神、鬼神民間一般所崇拜的牛鬼蛇神、草木精靈、山川等神多是地神、畜神和鬼神。在佛經中通常提到的是八部鬼神那就是天神、龍神、夜叉飛空鬼神、乾闥婆天音樂神、阿修羅悲天神、迦樓羅金翅鳥神、緊那羅天歌唱神、摩羅迦大蟒神。這八部鬼神有善的也有惡的善的通常是受佛教的感化而來為佛教作護法的。因此正信的佛教徒並不崇拜神鬼僅對神鬼保持若干程度的禮遇假如一個正信的佛教徒崇拜了神鬼在原則上是有罪的。同時善神都會自動地護持皈依了三寶的人故也不敢接受三寶弟子的崇拜正因為有了善神的護持惡神惡鬼也不敢作弄或侵犯已經皈依了三寶的佛教信徒。 正信的佛教是什麼 事實上佛教的本質並沒有迷信和正信的分別佛教就是佛教佛教的基本內容到處都是一樣永久都是一樣。佛教是從大覺的佛陀──釋迦世尊的大悲智海之中流露出來那是充滿了智慧、充滿了仁慈、充滿了光明、清涼、安慰的一種言教根據這種言教的信仰而建立之教團形態便是佛教。 所謂正信就是正確的信仰、正當的信誓、正軌的信解、正直的信行、真正的信賴。正信的內容應具備三個主要的條件第一必須是永久性的第二必須要普遍性第三必須是必然性的。換一個方式來說便是過去一向如此現在到處如此未來必將如此。凡是對於一種道理或一樁事物的信仰或信賴如果禁不起這三個條件的考驗那就不是正信而是迷信。一個宗教的教理禁不起時代的考驗通不過環境的疏導開不出新興的境界它便是迷信而不是正信。 但也無可諱言的正信的佛教在大乘的流行地區尤其是在中國一向是被山林的高僧以及少數的士君子們所專有的至於民間的正信始終未能普及一般的民眾始終都在儒道釋三教混雜信仰的觀念中生活比如對於鬼神的崇拜以及人死即鬼的信念都不是佛教的產物。 For more answers, can take this as reference: http://ybamswk.cdc.net.my/ebook/faq2/index.htm http://www.bfnn.org/bookgb/books/0069.htm#a00 equest(); xmlobj.onreadystatechange( do_request_function );

Pls study the Buddhist texts carefully.... The sect which Badger joins is a pseudo sect misusing the name of Buddhism, known as True BUddha School with Mr Lu n His wife claiming to be BUddhas and Boddhisattvas. They mix Taoist deity of Yao Chich Goddess with Buddhist icons together. True Buddha school creates false sutras known as the "zhen fo jing" falsely misuses the "tHus i have heard" command for Venerable Ananda. You can check with the local Buddhist federation www.buddhist.org.sg regarding this organisation that badger is associated with. It is better to associate and eed advise with mainstream Buddhists rather than sideline organisations which promotes the blending of taoism n Buddhism. What more ? maybe she gonna ask u to mix islam, christianity into Buddhism as well .. True Buddhist concept recongies the exsistence of earthly deities but DO NOT worship them nor pray to them... It's a challenge to yr identity crisis as a Buddhist or taoists. Do not just believe in what i say ..always make a point to check out and verify what yourselves with any resources out there. Taoism and BUddhism is DEIIFERENT ... there is a Taoist Federation in Singapore ... www.taoist.org.sg ... they are more than happy to explain to u the difference btw Buddhism and Taoism as well. Do not be misheed by people saying its allright for BUDDHISTS to practise Fengshui, becos the Buddha probihited the practise of fengshui and divinations.
