Hi, I'm not considering Panasonic as I was only given the Samsung and Sony to choose from. What happen was I had purchased the Samsung LA40N81BX from Courts during the IT show in June. Due to some personal reasons, I had to change the delivery date to Sep. Then last Sat, Courts said that they had accidentally delivered my TV to another customer. And now they can no longer get any stocks for this particular Samsung TV. So they offer to exchange with Samsung LA40A550 or Sony KLV40S400 (I got to top up another $100 for the Sony). So I need to decide which one to exchange to.

Urgently need advices from LCD gurus. Which of the following is a better choice? 1. Samsung LA40A550 2. Sony KLV40S400

Hi, need some advice to whether should I be getting a hood. The reason why I wanted one is because I have a open kitchen, with the cooker hob facing the kitchen window. I'm afraid that the smell, grease or fume will affect the living room. However, I've been advised by a lot of friends that the hood isn't that effective even though their suction capacity is up to 850m3/hr. At the end of the day, the hood will just be an additional item to clean. So they advised me that since I hardly cook and PVC roller blind will be put at the open worktop area (which will block the living and kitchen), I don't need to get the hood. So should I forgo the hood and opt for more storage space (cabinets) instead?

wenniee, I'm glad to hear that Sugar is doing well. When you can, do post more pics of the sweet fellow. I wish I can keep a real cat when my new house is done up. Though HTB like cats, he don't allow for the fear tat the kitty will scratch the household furnishing. So I'll hv to made do with the cute cute, ever smiling plush cats that I have at the moment.
