Boys & Gals, just curious. Since most of us will be staying alone, how many of you are not going to install window grill? I'm not.........

My parents on 5th, my BTO on 15th the highest floor. Seem like mostly us on high floor. I heard also that highest floor can get pretty warm. Maybe cos directly having the sun on top without another floor? Before I booked my unit, I called my mum and asked izzit true hightest floor will get warm. She said in the past yes now maybe no. So I took a gamble even though there's still 9th and 12th left to choose. Cross my fingers....

Mean you will get your house keys latest Dec 2018. But normally will be earlier.

My mum also like to nag when I'm doing my stuff in kitchen. Whenever I bake, once I put the utencils in the sink she will starting washing for me. Tell you huh, I really buay tahan one cos I always tell her I will wash myself. So when I bake now, she automatically go shopping and "disappear" for a few hours for me to do my baking. Another thing is she like to re-position things I buy in the kitchen. You know when you want to use something cannot find in your original position very pek che one leh. But still, all mum are still the best. They just want the best for their kids.

Haha! All got their own stories to tell. As for me, I'm staying with my parents and elder sis in Yishun 4 room unit. Bought my BTO in Sembawang. Mum said want to move cannot move too far. Tried for Yishun on first round but no chance to even get a number. My dad opposed strongly to my idea of moving as he said once he and my mum gone the flat will be my sis and me. But knowing my sis well (only know how to tidy her room) I still decided to get my own place. My mum also don't understand my meaning of having my own freedom. She said hor you close your room's door and stay inside your room also got "freedom" mah. Lol! Also, I want my own kitchen so I can do more baking. With my mum together in one house, it's like "two tigress in one kitchen"! And I don't think I want to give my mum spare keys. Wait she day day come my house and be "maid"!

Oh! I was thinking to install ceiling fan in both living room & bedroom + aircon in both rooms. But I also imagine what if the fan fell on me when I am sleeping. Lol! Will suck qi from body ah? Hm.... That type of ceiling fan with light one. Do you gals think it is bright enough for the whole room? @mmoh, this fortytwo hor, are they online shop? I saw dining table on website I like but want to see actual stuff. But seem no showroom leh.

250mm for our space does make lot of difference! The only place which will "eat" some space should be the thickness of wall.

Me too! Need a dining cum working table. For our small place I think a 1.2m or max 1.5m fit well.

From what I know on my block progress, they build 2 levels in one month so you count count. If your block highest level is 15, I think another 6 months to see roof level.

Wow! mmoh happy for you leh! Mine building roof level now, read that once roof level completed will be ready for collection within a year! My PCD also Q2 2017 but HDB kiasu always put a much later date.

@ mmoh Same intention mmoh. Overlay tiles depend whether I like the HDB pattern or not. If not, going to overlay. I definitely want a wet & dry area in toilet. This ID is too ex. I'm going for contrator quote soon. Btw, when you getting your keys ah?

My ID said if I want to change the position of the basin, seal up one door, overlay tiles, do a shower screen just the toilet will cost me $6k! That's why really need to see the actual toilet, maybe can don't change position then can save alot.

I just got the quote for reno. Total about 28k. But I think this ID never listen properly to what I want. Told him I definitely will not conside a feature wall and custom made side table in bedroom but he still include it in. Interested party who want a reference please PM me your email addy.
