  1. need advice before deciding to whether buy a 30cm cooker hob or 60cm cooker hob. for 30cm and 60cm... What other brands carry such dimension? what I know is Turbo, Elba and Bosch.....
  2. guys... I need help... my kitchen is quite crampy but already bought a 2door (side-by-side) fridge which is already 1 meter in width. Question is... what's the safety distance to be placed away from each other (from fridge to cooker hob, from cooker hob to sink). Any advice? I heard from some IDs say that need minimum 30cm.
  3. The flooring is for whole living, dining, passage way to bedrooms and 3 bedrooms (HDB04). Nope... he never told me what tiles can I choose. I will go and look this Saturday. Any advice? I was thinking of solid brickwall (as I'm placing my Altar there facing my living area) but I think need HDB approval. Also if brick wall will be quite expensive too... budget constraint Guys.. what I know is HDB flooring got 5 years warranty form HDB. how about private IDs or contractors? also other items like kitchen cabinets, vanity tops and such from IDs/Contractors.. how long warranty is the usual? 1 year? 3 years? or 5 years? Also... what's the further discount we can able to ask from our quotations... any advice?
  4. i've decided... I'm going IKEA for window shopping tonight... !
  5. let me share with u my experience.. i still looking for ID too and yes... please do ur homework soon.. dont be like me.. take keys den search... very frustrating... lolx.. $20K - $30K is definitely not enough which yours also including hacking.. are u going to do false ceiling or cove lightings? if yes, it might cost u too.. built-in wardrobes are expensive.. if can.. buy off-shelf for common bedrooms and bulit-in 1 for MBRoom.. For ur suspended TV console and kitchen cabinet + worktop... all depends on how long u want your items to be... longer = more expensive... Flooring? if full 600x600 homo tiles for living and bedrooms will be ard $5K... u can see my post which i felt wat items are expensive... my advice.. start early... dont be like me... ...
  6. I also thinking of building a full height fake wall. How much will it cost with a width of around 1 metre? anyone knows?
  7. Time for me to contribute my ideas and happiness and also..... frustrations... To start off, we balloted in 2011 and yes!, we successfully got it within 1 try. Nothing much was done for preparation of our new house and until lately, we're so engaged to our baby girl 1st birthday party and we got the news that we need to submit HLE and then we know that our house is coming. We knew that it's coming near BUT really didn't expect to came that fast... My wife and I were really too busy handling our little monster... hahaha... Kk.. back to our house.. we got our keys 2 weeks back and our headache begin.. should I say, my headache begins.. I've emailed out my requirements to 6 IDs but sad to say, only 2 came back with quotations, 2 asking me to go down and chat, 1 no reply and 1 more powerful... director email to designer (cc me inside the email) to follow up and till now no reply... To be honest, yes we understand Sales people always like to invite customers to go down and discuss over but since that customer alrdy emailed you guys with requirements, why not provide them with estimated prices and hope for the best?! Until now, I met up that 2 IDs that provide me with Quotations and one of them actually juz went overseas when I call him after few days. If going overseas, why didn't indicate inside the email?.... I also visited 2 more IDs at IMM too and both gave me quotations too. 1 shop i don't like his service. Like aimai aimai (want, dont want, want, dont want like tat) attitude. The other ID.. her service... really good.. got "click" with us... my wife also agree with me that IF her package not expensive.. we would want to sign with her immediately.. Well.. till now... we're still choosing our ID and lowering down our expectations to our new nest due to budget constraint.. Good Luck to us! http://renotalk.com/forum/uploads/gallery_59743_295_14675.jpg
