My ID brought me to another tile shop last Sat. Few stops before Hafary. I think the name is Lian Heng Sin. Have many matt looking tile but all made from CHina and the quality not very good. I think Hafary cream matt tile which cost $3.20 from CHina looks better. Btw, i think LHS tile is much expensive than HAfary..for those range which is similar. I kinda like Hafary than LHS. More nicer tile.. Guess this is individual preference.

Thanks! The hob and hood is expensive. I dun really cook. So, dun think will get it. Will only be for showcase. As for the sink, might consider.. WHere to get them? WHat about the 3 sinks, the one u posted? How much and where to get? Thanks for your info.

Hi Devilaz, Do you use a black layer on top of the foam before you lay the laminates? David from Supreme recommends this to me so that it gets better grip and also it will produce less noise when u step on the laminates. Not too sure if I need it. Advise please.

Thanks Jabebe! WHat a relief after hearing your comment on Supreme? Btw, David from SUpreme recommends that I put a black rubber on top of the foam before laying the laminates to get more grip. ALso, it helps to produce lesser sounds effect wen u step on it. Not sure, if it really helps. Do u lay the black rubber? ANother question is how much do the pest buster charge u? Thinking to do it before laying the laminates.

I am not sure if I should ask my ID for the painting service or source out for cheaper version. Some of my friends have asked some of the bangladesh workers who did painting nearby their blocks to do a paint job for them. One of them paid per person $100 to complete whole house painting. They did mention that if we already have the colour preference and can outsource the paint job will be cheaper. Thus, if anyone has contact on experience painters who can do the job, please inform me. Looking for alternative to save cost.

Hi, I have shortlisted them as my ID coz the person liasing with me, John Lau is quite a nice and reasonable person. Manage to negotiate for some foc. Have checked the workmanship in one of the house he has done before.. looks fine.. Just wondering if anyone out there have ever come across him and has feedback on the ID services and workmanship?

I thought of that.. but worried if kena caught.. I know it is illegal and afraid if anything happens the maid can also get us into trouble. I heard in my block, someone tried to employ a domestic helper in an illegal manner and kena summon. Never ask them to elaborate coz I also don't know the person who told me the story when I was in the lift. A very 'friendly' auntie..Maybe, must be people complaint and then the person got check. THerefore got check. Also, my flat is undergoing upgrading.. maybe there's a security check on the workers and probably involve the domestic helper.. not very sure.. Hence, I would rather choose locals to help me out.

I will be engaging Supreme Laminates to do my 3 bedroom instead of my ID. It was an impulse decision. The sales person, David manage to convince me into taking them instead of normal ID. Have informed my ID and he did mention that they normally measure more than what they should, as he works for Supreme last time. In fact, what convince me to take Supreme Laminates is that they claim that they will be giving me the better quality for the price that normal ID will charge for the middle range Supreme Laminates. After inspecting these laminates in one of the home fair, I decided to put in the deposit. When I informed my ID, he mentioned that they are offering the same tyoe of laminates. My ID is kind enough to tell me to just go ahead with them since I have already put in the deposit. I am going to renovate my house anytime this year and now worried about the workmanship and quality of Supreme Laminates company. They claimed that since they are specialised in this field, they will be the best person to guarantee a good workmanship. Need any feedback if you have ever engaged their service.. how it is?

Hi, I would like to know if there's any recommendation for part time domestic helper who can clean my house over weekend. I have tried the Maid Library but their service is very bad. Got them to find an auntie to clean my house. The first time she cleaned, it wasnt thorough. Cant even iron my clothes neatly. I gave her a 2nd chance but it is still the same. I requested to have her changed. Until now, the Maid Library agency havent got back to me. Do you have any reliable agency to recommend? And how is the charges?

Does it occur from the laminates that Supreme brings in? Btw, how is Supreme workmanship? Actually, I engaged them on impulse. The sales person is very convincing. Now, I am rather worried about their workmanship and quality of their work + those termites too! Another feedback that I got from some of the IDs are that they would always measure extra for your bedroom.. is that true?

Thanks! I went down to Hafary again on Sun to ask them about the Spain and China tiles. One of the guyes there told me that the china tile nowadays are glazed homogeneous and stain proof. I did mention about the feedback on China tile but he denied and said its quality is equally good. SO far, the only matt colour found in there is the cream one. After his explaination, I have decided to go for Matt. However, my ID is going to bring me to another tile shop this weekend before I confirm my tiling.. I never know that chossing tile can be so much stressful... Do u have any ideas how much is the spain matt tile? WIthin what price range? I cant find any cream colour spain tile there.. maybe never find hard enough. How much is the price range for spain matt tile? DO they have cream colour? I cant find in Hafary.. or maybe never find hard enough.

Thanks. I would like to get a cream matt homogeneous tile. My current tile (from the previous owner) is glossy ceramic. I got this sticky feeling when it is not mopped properly and slippery when wet. That's why I thought of changing to matt. Furthermore, it looks nicer. However, not sure if it will be other maintainance issue when choosing this matt finish. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Folks! I have read some of your comments on types of tile and I would like to seek some advice on my choice of tile. Recently, I went to Hafary to take a look at the tiles and have selected homogeneous type. However, I can't really decide which type of homogeneous tile I want. I prefer the matt look but worried about the maintainance. Heard it is not stain resistance. I have served few websites but cant find a good explaination on the difference. Maybe by joining this forum, I would be able to seek some advise through your experience. !!
