  1. Consider havent ba or half half... i myself also confused. 9757 7780
  2. Before activation, the signals come from the HDB antenna. The reception, for my case, is quite bad (ghost image) especially for CNA. After the activation, the signals are tap from the Starhub network. Very clear and no more ghost images, but some channels will be block eg, TV3. But there will be a free SCV channel, which will have sneak preview occasionally. If the ghost image problem is obvious at your side, it will be good to tap into Starhub network. I think is $30, but is not worthwhile since ours is a new flat.
  3. Me too. I think alot pple miss also. I pester starhub to activate for free. After activation, pictures are clearer and no more ghost images. Recommend to use the RG6B cables FOC from HDB -

  7. Try searching this forum or Singaporebrides, and sure you should be able to get some leads. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?s=...st&p=218461 Or checkout those neighbourhood shops (they may be good too) Aircon Installation Specs that you may like to ask for. - 16mm copper pipings thruout. (unlimited) - Copper gauge: 23 - Insulation thickness: 1/2" (must emphasize and ensure it is reflect in quotation) as most will insist to provide 3/8" - Installation to be done in 2 trips (1-trunking, 2-install aircon) And request installer to avoid running trunking at these locations: - along wall that have hot water piping. - along sun facing wall - near electrical heat source. (eg.spotlight, TV,etc)
  8. The high flr units on Blk A do have very good view of the MacRitchie Reservoir. Just my opinion....
  9. Sound like a fire hazard, better sprinke some water to make it slightly damp.... But not too wet, else the person who going to clear the rubbish will be !!
  10. Sign up with SP services for water, gas & electricity....
  11. Hi there, Briefly, you need to take the bearing of where you are facing. But before your bearing can be taken, you need to align the "N" marking (on the compass) with the compass needle. (I assume the marked end of the needle point to "North" - check your manual if there is one, or check with the sun). Examples: if the needle point " to your left", your reading should be somewhere 90. if the needle pont " to your right", your reading should be somewhere 270. if the needle point "to you", your reading should be somewhere 180 I hope you can understand as its pretty hard to explain here. For more detailed instructions, I think browsing the internet will help.
  12. Hi Mr Chong The passage way from Living RM to MBR is laid with Pebblewash (white) Any problem? Do I still need to place 8 pebbles?
  13. Hi Mr Chong, Thank you for your advise We have decide to put our son at BR2.
  14. Hi Mr Chong, As the sq area in MBR is pretty small, the wall hacking is necessary so as to accomodate a queen size bed & a wardrobe, with relatively comfortable walking space (2.5ft~3ft) around. As I could not fully interpret what you mean above, I have drawn out all the possible layout (below) I can have in BR1. Can advise which are the prefered ones? One of my elders comment that BR2 is not so good as the door is almost directly aligned with the common toilet door. Hence I like to keep BR2 as a study room or guest room for the time being. And thanks for your time and advises so far. It has being enlighting for me.
  15. Hello Mr Chong, Thank you for your reply. Need more advises from you. For the Aircon Ledge Window, a feature wall will be used to cover it up. Is it alright to use a tinted mirror? (other option - laminate or tinted glass) Btw, my dinner table (rect) can only placed at this area. Is it alright too? For the MBR window, I can only use curtains as suggested. But during non-sleeping times, it is okay to draw the curtain to keep the RM airy or bright? Is your comment of "No Red or Black or minimise" addressed to the MBR only or the whole unit? Colour used in my MBR is mainly Dark Brown, Light Brown and Beige. But I do use Black color in my living rm beocs the color theme is mainly White, Gray, Black Whereas Colour Theme in BR1 is Light Blue and Colour Theme in BR2: Dull Pink. My 14 mnth son will be staying in BR1, and the bed will be placed facing East (opps as to my previous drawing). Any serious implications? Btw, my unit is actually at the 14th Flr.
