Hi PurpleSky, Take my ID. He is very good. I did not read your story whole but gather that you have having a headache. Dont ever quarrel with ID. Everything must be spelled cool and nice. I went to my ID cos he gave me lots of promises. In the end, he really fullfilled them. Really pro. My reno was completed in Apr08. I asked him back in May when my platform has creaking sound. He offered to come back and fix my door when my house was burgled in June. He came back recently when I mentioned that my Blum drawers are not smooth. He came back all these time, no questions asked, cos he said Reno still under warranty for 1 year. He also change the Hydraulic of all my studies Flip display, all 6 of them 2 weeks ago. And his price is really a bargain when we made some comparison. Can come to my house and see see if you wan. A point to note is Reno price went thru the roof recently. Good luck. Dear Neighbours, Dont need to wield one. Cos I did and my house was still broken into. Those low life crooks will attack the lock and not the gate. The uncle is being very enterprising only. These are my take, not point listening to his crap, just close the door. Btw, lets organize a walkabout around the neighbourhood during mooncake festival. Should be fun if the blocks are teaming with big kids carrying lanterns. Haha.

Hi Dorcas, Went to your corridor on Tuesday night after seeing your post. The clothes are still as it is in your pictures. And to be honest, there is a pungent odour along your corridor. Hope you can speak to your neighbours and hope they can move their sunning back into their own flat. Good Luck!

FYI, I have the same idea as you so I loaded my corridor with my shoes and slippers but ****, they prob knock my door to test before going on their crime! Dorcas, sad for you. At lease my incident is not so frequent, esp after I installed some security system as a prevention. If my neighbours are like that, I might go crazy and start a war against them. To think of it, I use to have such neighbours who like to chat at the corridor late into the night. Early morning they just bang their shoe cabinet away from 6am to 630am. My baby boy was awakened a couple of time. So I went over, looked real angry, and warn them to be more considerate. It worked! At least for 2 weeks before I wrote a note and stick it to the shoe cabinet. I really understand what you are going thru. Maybe just speak to them. Get ready for war first though.

Yep Neighbours, I did the wielding alrite! You think its useful??? Those ASSSSS did not even break my iron gate, no scratches, no broken pieces, meaning wielding is no concern to them cos they prob have master keys to my VANNI padlock and iron gate! Surprise! Surprise! Funny thing though, my not so frequent credit card was not taken away. They are only interested in Cash & Jewellery, something they cos dispose off easily. No discrimination but they must be those who uses cash. My Chubb is installed for $38.80 per month for 3 years. Recommended by friend who stop after 3 years cos he said buying insurance ($100 plus per year) is much cheaper. Up to individual really. One thing I learned from this experience, the are also lots of nice people around. Like the Chubb guy who really analyse the whole situation and explain to me how to prevent break in in the future. And of my ID. He sms me to wish me "Happy Fathers Day" on Sat, and I told him about my breakin and pre empt him cos the police are probably going to call him. You know what? He asked me if there are damages to my carpentry. I said my wooden is damaged cos those BAS***** forced it open, he actually arranged for his guy to come and mend this weekend. No fault of his but he actually wanted to ease my suffering cos changing the main wooden door might cause me a bomb. There are good people out there. So all neighbours, we must smile at each other more, no worries if the other dont even bother, for one, as long as you talk to me, I will spend some time to chat away!!! Btw, I am staying at Block 26B. Take care mates, lets meet up soon.

Hi neighbours, My padlock is VANNI type, seems like they have masterkeys to all so it doesnt matter if yours is Yale, Chairo, Castle, Duro, it is not foolproof. No idea how they got thru the metal gate too. Wooden gate is easy to open as the security guy showed me. They ransack my place and took away Cash and Jewelleries only. These "KIND" souls left my electrical appliances alone. My Alarm is from Chubb. Dont know wether can say anything here but you people can check out Cisco, Chubb, ADT systems. Lets look out for each other and may these Ba****** get caught soon! Lets meet up again and have a short tour again soon. Far relative is no better than close neighbours!!!

Yeah. My house was broken into last thursday night!!! I called the police at 1030pm and they were around till 1am, doing all CSI stuff. Installed Alarm system already. The best part was those ******* has master keys to padlock. My padlock was missing and they were very skillful with the irongate and wooden door. My neighbour said he heard some loud noises and he thought we were still renovating. Sooooo sad. We should look out for each other more, dont feel shy wehn somethings not rite. Just walk up to check. Hope this will be a safer place soon.

Hi Bean, I have a problem like that when I first moved in 1 month ago. The water pressure is not strong enough to turn on my Gas Heater. Though the heater was faulty then cos only used a few times. I also suspected the water pressure cos it was noticeably weak. Called SP services, they came within hours, check the pressure, yep, water pump at rooftop faulty alrite. I also complained about the water quality cos there is an oily smell. They take samples also then. They solved the pressure issue but the quality is still not so good. My wife is still buying water to boil. Call them, SP Services or Town Council. Both also can.

Wah sure a not??? thats too ex for me Any idea where to get something similar but cheaper? But I have to say its very appropriate and beautifully.

Thanks makemefly,Went to mustafa today. Very chaotic. Have a hard time finding where I park my car afterwards. Did not really get to see anything I want there.Think going back to Ikea easier. :)Thanks anyway, until you have other recommendations

Congrats for finishing your reno! Now you can enjoy near city living. Btw, anybody has any place to recommend on buying knick knacks... Or those candles, glasses, vases, classic clocks, paintings etc for beautifying the house... My house is done but lacking in the little colours or stuffs to make it perfect. Been to Ikea, still not complete yet. Must be cheap though... we cheapskates...

1. Lifts not maintained - break down often (27B,) 2. Cleanliness in carpark 3. Noise of air in pipes still persisting 4. Malfunctioning or blown lights at lift lobby 5. No corridor washing 6. Rubbish piling at dustbin area 7. Corridor wall very dirty Pls add in this list and update. Hope to get the feedback by Fri. But how am I going to get your signatures? I can meet up with all of you when the letter is ready. You can PM me. I really want to get this forward, at lease the Town Council can pay more attention to the conditions of our estate. Btw, I spoke to the worker cleaning the corridor with spray jet last week. He said that corridor washing is done once a month and they will omit those unit currently renovating. I asked him why he missed my corridor and he said that he could tell from the rubbish that my immediate neighbour is renovating. He assured me he will not miss my unit for the next wash. Also, have anybody noticed that there are plenty of fruit flies in the area. They are invading my unit. I left some food in the kitchen and within minutes, there are more than 20 of them buzzing over my food. Any ideas how to rid them???
