Hello Hello ! Rivervale Resident for 5 years migrating to Anchorvale. Got my keys last week to my WIS EA in Anchorvale. Pending HDB rectifications and renovation. Schedule to move in in Mid Nov. Good char kway teow in Banquet, Compass point. MUST TRY! I used to like the char kway teow in Punggol, the coffeeshop @ Edgefield Primary, but realise the taste can be very inconsistent. Dependent on the chef for that day/ time. The char kway teow in compass point is halal which means they dun use pork lard but its ALWAYS so delicious and tasty! How did they manage do it???

oh ok thanks for the info !! no, my move-in date cannot be changed as i will need to vacate my current place for my buyers to move in. they themselves also will not have a place to stay anymore by then... gotta cross fingers and pray hard that everything be on schedule. Anyone here has topped up for homogenous tiles and how much did you pay psf? Exactly? Coz I have been searching for more info here but i only see $1+ psf? Today i met up with my TO and HDB contractor too. Yes, my tiles will be hacked and relaid. But that contractor say I have to top up minimum of $2 psf. And this is the cheapest homogenous tiles which is going for $2.80 at the tiles shop.... Have I been overcharged? Any suggestions pls???

What rectifications did they do? can share? is it anywhere here in T-blog etc? Today i went to inspect again. So many toilet wall tiles crack! Both toilets also like that!

Thanks for all of your replies. Today i went to SK branch office and saw the officer in charge of my unit. He will come up to my place with contractor on this coming monday to verify the defects! Told him i need to move in by end of the month, taking note i still need to renovate my place. He seem simply bo chap n ask me give him 3 weeks... keep saying can lah, 3 weeks, see how lo. If he takes 3 weeks, my reno takes another 3 weeks, altogether 6 weeks liao. He was quick to add that my reno contractor must not start work till his guys have completed their defect rectification! He also added that he dun have anymore skirting left for the hall. He has no more toilet tiles etc. I really hope on monday, he can advise me what he is going to do.

Got my keys 2 days ago! Was elated but after I step into the Brand New Premium EA in Anchorvale, I feel so disappointed and angry. The flat is vacant for 5 yrs. Gosh! In my house, there are 1) Cracked Floor tiles and skirting. 2) Uneven cement (or what do you call that thing in between floor tiles?) Cement also overlap into my floor tiles which cover part of the floor tiles. Can complain abt this or not? 3) Huge crack of more than 30cm in all 3 bedrooms. It seems to be from outside then crack into the bedroom. Crack till can see the inside grey structure. 4) All Bronze alum windows latch rusty! Especially the top latch. Even 1 window handle is missing. 5) Sewage pipe in MBR toilet leaking. Sewage landed on the centre of my bi-fold door which cause it to ROT 3cm in centre down liao. The remaining sewage landed on the toilet bowl but luckily its still covered with plastic. However, the entire room and toilet smell of sewage! 6) Outside aircon ledge rusty! 7) Bedroom doors as well as frame a little rusty here n there. Spots appearing and become rough. 8) Everything such as shower head, shower rod, tap, basin tap, that round thing in cenre of basin, all these all rusty! Plus there are many more defects here n there.... How? Help! anyone encounter such horrible stuff before? Its supposed to be new flat? don't they check before they sell it to us? Though there is a 1 yr warranty from now but the thought of all these just.... yucks! Are they suppose to resolve this before I move in? Or am i suppose to accept this defects etc? When i step inside the house, the floor tiles all dirty n black so we decided to wash the floor so to be able to check more clearly! Gosh, the water we splash seeped into the unit below us and it was raining in their bedroom! They complain to branch office abt this and the officer came up to our house n told us we cannot wash our floor? if dont wash, how to check clearly? ya originally they quoted me $2.7 too. jason showed me both insulation too. they have both black n grey there, i know what u mean. that is why u have to get them write in black n white whatever they offer u. they offered me the black insulation and I got them to write it on the receipt plus the diameter, piping etc etc.... ya, guess so lor. plan to shop along jalan besar today. hope to get what i want

No I havent visited parkmall in ages... but parkmall? the shops there are ex rite.. Look for Jason @ AMK hub fairprice if you want inverter series. Let me noe if you want his number. I bought my toshiba inverter sys 3 there. But make sure u noe the brand/ model/ price u want then u go amk. they will match whatever u are getting fm elsewhere and also give u installation according to manufacturer's spec

ya its $2459 original but does not include bracket coz my ea comes with aircon ledge. Hey how much reno u doing n how much did 3d quote u? i'm still deciding if i should go with 3d or max image... edmund is fm which branch? i've spoken to jeremy fm kovan. How big is ur jacuzzi and where are u placing it? will it fit into the mbr toilet? wat is the usual price of the jacuzzi which you got?

Yes Indeed! Gain city quoted me $2459. The good price $2240 is derived from $2459 (Fairprice matched Gain's Price) and deducting the rebates I get fm fairprice & Citibank plus the ntuc link points....

I bought my toshiba inverter system 3 from Fairprice @ AMK Hub today. Got a very good bargain! Hooray!

Originally i wanted to get Starmex but after testing toshiba, it seemed a beta choice. Price differ alot too. Both inverters with system 3, starmex is $2829 and Toshiba $2459. Starmex though is easy clean but actually also quite surface clean. The plastic louver seem quite flimsy so must be extra careful coz when its left open or when break, the entire fan coil cannot work. Must wait for repairman to come n replace. Its their safety function.

Ya exactly! They also told me same thing over the phone abt money put in bank tat part. keke. Hmm out of production eh... ok , din noe abt this yet. coz the guy fm gain city told me its only 2 months old? but daikin does not seem to be getting good review these days ??? yes i read abt people posting for us to look out for insulators n piping. All of the salesman said they will follow the manufacturers spec and they even have those sample pipe n insulator in their showroom. Should tink we just need to be around and really check thru the stuff they bring on the day of installation. Heard of A-Star ? Duno how's their pricing n workmanship.

Was at Gain city suntec today. We have decided not to get starmex. Now choosing between Toshiba Inverter System 3 and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Inverter System 3. Both are selling @ $2459 nett. Including installation and unlimited piping. Can anyone comment on these 2 which I'm interested in? The latter is the one and only aircon with 3D wind? Ions etc. But design not very nice. The earlier one looks nicer in design. Extremely quiet and stable. Tested the actual output in kw and it really seem to run low... so definitely cost saving! Moreover, the entire outdoor unit is made in Japan, though their fancoils are made in thailand. This is the 1 and only condenser tat is made in japan! Unfortunately the guy there was unable to run a test for the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Inverter for me as he say they only choose a few to connect and show customers the output! Hmmm... Fishy. Then i called All Best up and they told me if I decided to choose the Mitsubishi HE Inverter, I might as well save my money and not buy aircon at all coz very problematic. But coz over phone they did not 12 discuss further so i need make a trip down. Anyone can comment pls??? Thanks.

Its called a bidet? I've been using it for 8 years already. We have 2 sets, one in common toilet and one in mbr. Just tat mine does not come with dryer or hot water. The person who recommended mention that we needed to beware of short circuit etc if we use hot water n dryer tat is why we did away with it. Anyway, it works great! My bidet aint expensive. We paid abt $150 each including delivery n installation. It is also very easy to install it on ur own with the manual provided. Haha but take note, once u are used to bidet, u will feel uncomfortable in public toilets which do not have one.
