  1. shercjw, I can understand your frustration. May I know did you source out aircon on ur own or by ID? Those who knew me knows that I get almost everything from ID, though more expensive. Now I know y the expensive part comes, my ID assured me that if I get his aircon from him, he can arrange everything from installation, delivery and evrything has got to do with it. Though my ID disppointed me many times with his lateness and blunders, it is not as bad as this case. I can feel the headache you experienced, and now u have to worry about the re-painting cost, if this company is recommended by ur ID firm, you can complain to you ID and make them re-paint for u. hope your problem is solved soon.
  2. haha, babymaro, i have yet to go to a.m. maybe u can ask me along again when u r going. i shall bring my maid to a.m for 'shopping'
  3. y is the chair not good? it is very soft right?
  4. for my case, the $170 is not in the quotation, so i have to pay, it is not about trying luck, it is a must pay. I wonder y ur contractor said that. haulage $800 is different from the $170. the $800 is for the "pai sha". correct me if i m wrong. i only know 5 room pay $1100 for that.
  5. this is ..... is there a way to check loan status before commiting on purchase? no right?
  6. u should just ask him whether he is giving u glass or plastic? how much did he quote u?
  7. I did wall mount on my feature wall. to ans your question: 1) it is not hard, ur contactor will drill a circle hole for u to put the cables. 2) not sure, mine is plasma TV, can get quite hot after hours of watching but my TV is next to window, I open the window when watching TV to dissipate the heat. 3) not hard, the mount on is actually a clip on to a metal bar. 4) not hard not got to go through the hole, purpose is to hide the untidy cables.

  12. 312079, can your unit see the Singapore flyer? I wanted to choose blk B initially cos' it is nearer to the interchange. but eventually fated, all the units in blk B which I wanted go "out of stock" by the time it is my turn. I chose my unit based on North South direction, not near rubbish chute, not near carpark(if not can hear the beep beep sound when people park or find car) actually, my unit though NS still have sunlight coming in the afternoon but it is shining in the hanging clothes area and the small window in the living room. but cant see Million dollar view loh.
  13. oic, thanks for the advice. is the device expensive or electricity consuming?
  14. by the way, TPY, which part of the block experience bird s_H_i_t? and how did you solve the problem? I am staying at the height way beyond growing trees but this advice will be good for the neighbours staying at the lower levels.

  17. hihi. whoa. tension kind of lock.-castle lock. another thing to add: it has 2 key openings. one inside and one outside. Mr low will give u 5 keys after installation. and also a warranty card. 10 yrs warranty. say pay for $12.80 a year is not too bad, I used to have this big sturdy lock, not fixed into gate but those hanging kind but quite hard to open near the gate cos the opening is at the side. that lock cost $60.
  18. nice meeting u, when are you free to open ur house for us to see? This is 1 unique concept.
  19. update: pebbles are all given away by this evening to redcrystal, dracula and babymaro. wooo...I didnt know it is so heavy until I drag them out 1 by 1. should have build up a muscle or 2 while doing there. hope that trolley is of help to those who came to collect their pebbles. cheers
  20. hihi jacky... this guy is an interesting man. Highly recommended. very helpful and knowledgeble in reno stuff. ---no basin has problem. ID sent someone to use a long strip of thin pipe to clear the chokage in MBR. That time, water was flowing very slowly into the basin hole. Remember that time, we dug out stones and cement from the common bedroom toilet bottom trap. so i asked ID plumber, what causes the chokage? he said:" oh, that time we puposely make this area stuck, so that the workers cant throw cement or debris in here" -so helpful of them????- --- both can be adjusted now, just that i dun really dare to touch the stopper in case it get stuck again. I just want to buy another stopper that is not so easily stuck. ---hehe, no lah, I dun want to trouble u so much, have u start your reno?
  21. hi cocobibi, i didnt do the traditional rack. inspired by rackel bro by his bookshelf from ikea. after much consideration, decide to bite the bullet and buy the $299 185 X 185 cm white square bookshelves. was actually considering 2 options. cos my bomb shelter is about 4 ft (148cm) by 6 ft (189cm). wanted to buy 2 sets of 144 cm shelves making 2 rows at the side (meaning about 8 ft storage) but $199 x 2 = about $400 (havent include delivery fees $45 + installation fees $15++) and the height is also 144 cm like very wasted. $400 for bombshelter like too much.. so, i lay it horizontal, just buy 1 set of 6 ft by 6ft (185cm) shelf at $299. the length fit exactly and the height is just 1 feet wasted and also too tall if there is something. considered the prev option that has 3 feet wasted height. i chose the $299 shelf. i know wasted $..but very swee.. heart over mind.. haha..
