    Hello! All PMs replied and sent I'm glad that post was useful! The purpose of this t-blog is to pay it forward Ya can go see! Just to be sure, it's the Courts at Tampines kay, not sure whether the others have this sale but the one there does. And it's massive! 3, 4 stories? Hmmm haven't, cuzzz, well, my dad is going to gift us his solid wood rocking chair that is older than me (it's in my earliest memories), and it's a v dark wood so I'm not sure whether the colourful retro chairs will clash! =// Which brings me to bykaraanne's reply... I SEE IT BY CRANING MY HEAD 45° TO THE LEFT AND PLAYING I SPY WITH MY LITTLE EYE HAHAHAH okay abuse of caps but I'm just so amused. Thanks so much babe! Dyknow, today we DROVE PAST blk 121 but he was rushing for an appointment and we couldn't stop to take a look? Haiz. Anyway, you reckon it'll cost significantly more than $99? The HDB unit where we lived when I was 9 had some private space in front of our place, so my daddy installed that same rattan swing basket... the memory is making me smile. But yeah I suppose if you get the swing, you'll have to sacrifice rather a lot of space for other things. A dream to keep for a better time _____ Okay with this happy nostalgic mood of a sweet memory I can no longer return to, I shall also announce, Our home has its colours, And I will share peektures very soon. White with gold handles! That is a stroke of brilliance man, when I saw your photos my heart started beating faster and that is an *undeniable* proof of true attraction. Now I want your kitchen can HAHA. I'm so excited!!     Hahaha I know how that feels man I punctured hours ago. The husband, on the other hand, is still happily walking around. Unbelievable. We're at Courts now; it has some big sale going on. A Bosch front loader is going at $700- half price. Hmm! And their wicker chair is calling my name... I'm so tempted. I think I really quite like courts. I'll post a couple of photos when I'm home! ___ Hello I'm home! And gaiz, I am enamoured of their wicker chair series. Like, seriously. Remember the yellow chair I posted previously? Well - it comes in a RAINBOW range. Be still my heart. I did. not. want to get up. And LooooooooooKkkkkkkkk - Loveseat!!! *swoon* It's on sale now, and it's like $99 for a single, and the loveseat is $179. I'm wondering, though, is the original rattan still made, and where might it be found? Anyone knows? , bookworm

    Haha you two! Weellz we have gotten ourselves a kdk, because it has the best dimensions for us + we realised his parents' place's fan is fanco, and his dad say it's not v good so! Hopeefully in 10 years I'll be still saying good things about it hahaha. We're off to Ikea tampines now! Bykaraanne, if you're there lemme know!!

    Hello renolovies! The Brilliance requested for this post haha. Basically, our ceiling fan (Crestar) is veryy low, and we hope for advice or suggestions on what we can/should do! Here's a photo: Introducing our fat fan. It reminds me of a bumblebee. As you can see, it's hung low low low low low low low (cue club music), which makes him + his brothers feel vulnerable because they are all 1.8m+! Then my mommy also say cannot, because next time if/when got baby then you throw the baby up in the air or pretend rollercoaster near the fan.... Inputs and personal experiences welcome!

    Noooo not personal failureee. I actually know what you mean, cuz I don't like my second BR either! Soo, what I did was toooo - Have nicer-than-usual light!! My reasoning is that when the light is an interesting feature, people will look at it. And people are very myopic one la, see one chio thing then won't really see the rest. (Unless they're bombing in the toilet =Pp) Also, if you can, how about changing your kerb to a step down instead? If all else fails.... enjoy your Giroud. Not many people can say they are married to a french Giroud.

I saw your post about feeling bad about the nice uncle who took initiative to innocently uglify your tiles.. have you considered giving him ang pao? I mean, we grew fond of our tilers bcz of their hard work and pride in their job + one was a cute uncle so in the end we gave ang pao to show personal appreciation. Not sure what your budget is, but just thought to suggest it as a way to mitigate your guilt and show appreciation at the same time!

    Yeah ikr! Hmm my place is currently covered in plastic and paper because they're beginning painting. Carpentry fabrication is underway at the factory. I think I'll be done mid Oct - so fast! I'll have withdrawal symptoms when this is over man. No wonder some people do renovation every now and then. Where are you atm? And I suspect you'll get a door with mouldings of a certain (chio) character

    Ikea is well-known to us, and needs no introduction. I'm just going to spotlight their laundry area, which has been the most comprehensive and well-thought of space so far, compared to other shops. I confess I'm more conscious about that area more than, say, our study, or the second bedroom, simply because so much needs to go into so small a space. And...... photos of previous t-blogs sometimes give a glimpse of a rather messy area. Not being judgey, just hoping to avoid that as much as I can, if possible. So! I'll probably install something like this, but half the size. Hehe this ironing board is superr cute right?! I had the impulse to buy it on the spot but the Brilliance didn't seem as impressed. I think cuz he's so tall, the ironing board will need to have more surface area for his clothes. Pfft. This is so snuggy and adorable lor. ______ I have a friend in PR whose client was Courts, and apparently they're increasing their line of furniture to reflect the changing taste of the local market. So we popped by after Taylor B and Ikea. Here's a couple of photos from our trip: The Brilliance likes this soda, and I agree it's pretty chic, although, for some reason, it reminds of a Korean jacket hahaha. My favourite chair!! I like it so much! I shall keep an eye out for a piece like this ___ Okies, that's the end of my review-of-sorts on 3 furniture/home places we have. I know there are other worthy places, and hopefully I'll get to visit them, or someone else will, so that we homeowners will be aware of the wider options available to us! xoxo, The Bookworm

I can underline my words Taylor B 43 Keppel Rd, Singapore 0994189420 4000The sense I got re Taylor B after reading various writeups is that it's atas/designer furniture at modest (read: not outrageous) prices. Sounds good right? So I asked the Brilliance if we could go, and we did! Nice front eh. A bit like postcard methinks. Here are a few photos: A cute retro clock! At $129 if I remember right. This was a piece I personally really liked. Solid wood, lovely carving - I could stare at this piece for ages. Makes me feel happy just looking at it. Interesting chair! Haven't seen anything like it so far. There were 2 of them there. I might change the colour of the fabric though. Artsy ah. Overall, I can see how Taylor B would appeal to its fans. Carefully selected, a item or two would work as statement pieces even in our humble BTOs. Tbh though, I feel that these can be quite easily found in places like BKK, Chatuchak. I'm fairly certain I've also seen similar stuff in Vietnam, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were sourced from there and around the region, like Indonesia (they do say as much in their website). My verdict: while I liked what I saw, personally I'd spend a weekend in the region hunting my own furniture if I was able to. Ikea and Courts in the next post!

    Thanks for all the renotalk love everyone! A couple of nights ago I dreamt that we were Facebook friends, haha clearly I'm on this space too much. Anyway! I'm currently at yakun nex killing time while the Brilliance listens to insurance talk by his old schoolmate and I want to share what I saw last weekend but the photo adding option doesn't seem to be available from my phone! Has anyone used their mobiles to blog with photos before? Halp haha
