  1. Ya. This may be a good idea. Do a shallow display cabinet and dun put heavy stuff. Like a secret door.
  2. red seal up - can yellow swing door - can blue basin chg location - can but messy piping and I dont think there is floor trap at the new basin location but u can refer to greenbunny's idea of hiding piping in the kerb, not sure feasible or not green toilet door new location - ah this... i dont think this is possible... also the water proofing issue, if u hack the wall, not sure ur warranty will be void or not. Actually why do you want to change door position? dun wan bathroom door facing living room? Other than this, I think your bathroom was properly planned for a L-shaped wet shower area. now can see liao >_<" ya, but i dun like front load WM although it save more space, cos every time need to kneel down, bad for old pple. lol
  3. I also envy her proximity to the future new MRT station... lol! for a second I thought it is yours... but then it left with very little counter space. 4 burner somemore...
  4. For me, the original TV points are at the shorter wall aka wall dividing living and bed room. Ankle set her tv at the household shelter wall. Anyway, future TV probably dun need TV point liao.
  5. Ya, now i dun feel like going out at all... lol! MsBunny use wall paper for her door too. I initially wanted to do that and my ID has agreed to help me to do it but at the end i didnt find a wall paper i like. did you wrap it white from the exterior too? I also thought about putting something at the door to block views too. Can consider your way. show pics! Not necessary. Mine is on the wall sharing with bedroom.
  6. $16k for so much carpentry + bathroom changes is very cheap! 20% deposit is too much liao! I love your whole house!!! esp the kitchen! looks so spacious and neat! What have you done to your main door to make it white? why do you install curtain to divide foyer and living room?
  7. My Payment Terms: 10% upon commencement of Awarded Jobs 35% progressive payment 40% upon measurement and fabrication of wood-joinery works 15% upon completion ( exclude additional or variation order )
  8. Yes, I am asking for current look. oh, so shower slanted instead of direct? what is the width from shower wall to the glass door? Now i after shower hor, 1st use a scrapper to scrap the water from wall and doors, then use a clothe to wipe all wall and doors dry, then use mop to mop floor dry... by the time i finish these, perspire again... >_< never so hard working b4... -_- that gray pipe is it? that is from the aircon. if u overlay the floor tiles then the slope issue can be resolved right? to angle the floor tiles for the water to flow to the trap at the shower area instead.
  9. @greenbunny come on, dun be shy, show us more pics (non-bathroom) how does the original basin location piping looks like now? It is lucky that you got 2 floor traps. but then your shower head is position away from the bathroom door so should not have water seeping out to kitchen issue? Many neighbours will throw unwanted tiles away. I do gave away unwanted tiles to neighbours too so dun need to be pai seh. Join your FB BTO group. sharing is caring. <3
  10. my guess is the vendor would want to be onsite measure.
  11. if it is fully covered then still ok lah, except of the low height. if high floor then unlikely got mickey mouse.
  12. Hdb will give u 5 spare tiles for each of the tiles used in your unit. U can buy the tiles from bsc if you need more. No standard. Every bto should be different. Do you plan to change the window including the frame? This is not allowed for the first 3 or 5 years i cant rmb which.
  13. I mop dry every time after shower so not a big issue to me. Nope. All are original hdb tiles.
  14. Mine also got water seep to the kitchen every time... >_< can. but then bi-fold door save more space compare to swing door.
  15. really stupid design from the HDB designer. who would want to have a dining area facing the toilet bowl... -_- if the door need to face living room dining area, at least change it to basin still not that bad. guess gonna close the bathroom door most of the time liao, which does not help on the ventilation.
  16. you can write in to hdb providing your IC no. and check with them. I did that. If there is, you may want to see the actual item before deciding. If so then that will be good. toilet bowl... I think different leh, cos the outlet is to different sewerage pipe leh.
  17. hmm... this direction... there will be water seep in between the gap of the 2 green lines... I cant think of a solution for this... Cos if reverse (right green line is fixed and sliding left green line is on the other side of the kerb, water will seep into the dry area and it is not practical to fixed the left green line and make the right green line the sliding one... if u all understand what i mean... -_-"
  18. no overlay. ya, i told ID not to remove in case in future wanna do drilling then know where the piping locations are. but then now regret... lol! cos hard to peel off! his is 2 doors ya, ask ankle is the best. i know she switch her shower and basin location.
  19. I am not sure what you want to see. but based on my floor plan, the only thing I did was to shift my basin downwards nearer to the wall to give way to the shower screen which split the bathroom into dry and wet areas. This is because of the big window. Below is the end result.
  20. I remember someone asking about aircon piping? And I have someone asking me about the laundry rack which I had removed. So here are the pics: Very clean view in the living room. Contractor drill a hole on the bottom right corner for the piping. View in bedroom. Bathroom piping to drain water. I install aircon after reno done so the piping outlet gotta be at the dry side of the bathroom. If you have done aircon installation while reno, this can be avoided. view of my laundry pole, can see? zoom in to the V bracket which holds the pole. So basically I just hang my laundry here cos morning sun shines thru the living & bedroom windows.
  21. i have to agree having your own haven makes u wanna cook more... cos dun feel like going out liao so gotta ownself settle and after awhile, instant noodle lost its appeal... lol! btw, i used to boiled broccoli too but read somewhere that the mineral are all lost in the water. steam is actually a better way to cook broccoli so now I use steamer instead. just sharing.
