  1. Hihi! Basically, there's different ways you can get your stuff from TB but mainly it depends on your ability to communicate with the sellers in chinese. If you can do the ordering yourself without help, then depends on the size of the goods that you're trying to purchase. If you can't then you'll have to use agents who do assisted purchases. I don't know the breakdown but you can read around the forums if you go down that line. TB provides direct shipping but it is priced by weight so if you are ordering small light items in large quantities then that's the way to go. When I use direct shipping from TB, I always use 4PX as I can collect them from a POPStation that's convenient. For my huge furniture like my dining table, lights and chairs, I used a local shipping company. Basically, set an account up with them and directed all my purchases to their Guangzhou warehouse. They are not agents and they do not check the quality of the packages and just send them on direct to the address you specify. Price is by cubic meters of your packaging. If you're willing to take the risk for your purchases, I think this is the most cost effective method of shipping. Hope this helps as a start!
  2. Lux I just bought it! I shall try and let you know~ Thanks Kara for the brand!
  3. It's time to start decorating and I've started to buy TB stuff slowly. Here's some of the stuff that I've bought today! https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=40006407940&spm=a1z09.2.0.0.jJJUf7&_u=n2gea0nd08b6 - Thanks Kara for recommending the brand! Lux I try alr then tell you~ Cushions https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.jJJUf7&id=524891577796&_u=n2gea0nd91a4 https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=44607755757&spm=a1z09.2.0.0.jJJUf7&_u=n2gea0nd0b88 Throw - everytime I ask the CFO to let me buy a throw he goes "I throw you ahhh.." T.T Anyway, I just bought it anyway! https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.jJJUf7&id=45655543884&_u=n2gea0nd4998 And finally, tissue boxes! https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.jJJUf7&id=523930848405&_u=n2gea0nd469a
  4. Hi Kel, I've sent you the contacts! I've also installed a uni-arm that holds the door open and soft closes the door behind me when I leave the house. Pushing the gate open from inside.. Pull open from outside~ Sorry I've confused you! For the gate, it's code and the card and for the main door you can use the code/card/fingerprint. Approximately, we've spent $14k on the kitchen. The appliances cost us $3k (hob/hood/fridge). We had free gifts from LG as well so that has lowered the cost (rice cooker/airfyer/electric kettle). Hope this helps!
  5. I'm planning to get a motion sensor with recording function one too! Just can't decide which one~
  6. The gate handle is covered up by a black sticker like thing that you can see. That used to hold the handle that came with the gate from HDB. They drilled the gate a little to install the gate lock. Hi Kel, i bought the main door one online and the gate one from AN. I just walked into the shop for AN so I don't have a contact person. Thanks for the kind words. We actually bought a load of stuff for the house from IKEA over the weekend so it looks a little homey. Not there yet but will share soon. I'm probably going to TB stuff over the next couple of months.
  7. Don't need handle. Once unlock just push open only. Very slick and convenient. Reaction time cannot beat the samsung one though.
  8. Ohh... I think it depends on what you're comfortable with some people think it traps heat some don't. I honestly don't feel it cause I've used fabric sofas since I was young. My fiance on the other hand wanted leather but I did win in the end! I feel like if it's warm seating on leather eventually makes you warmer as like the sweat makes the sofa a little sticky... But then if you think another way the fabric sofa actually is absorbing your sweat.. Eww... I need more Febreeze... :S
  9. Hi Kel! No worries at all! Yup it's a washing machine with a drying function. When you buy such combo machines, the functions will not be the best is you compare to getting a pure washing machine and a separate dryer. But since it's the 2 of us there probably isn't much to wash so we won't hit max load on the washer dryer which means it works pretty effective for me.
  10. Hi Kara! The digital lock looks like the one I saw on TB. Do you have a link for it? & I agree the sticks for cleaning are amazing. Cleaned the toilets with it after the reno!
  11. Hi keltan8, I think that's a good size for a 4 room too. I'm actually going for 49' to 50' as my sofa is in the middle of the entire living room. This narrow downs the space so it's going to be about the same as a 4 room.
  12. hihi! babymonsta I've sent you the contact
  13. Thank you! I wish the recess a bit bigger so that I can fit one more small unit of the HEMNES though! But at least I've got a plug there so I can put a standing lamp in that corner. I also doing it half heartedly! Will let you know if got good lobang... Thinking of the motion sensor kind so that it will record if anyone loiters outside the house. I'm not a professional baker though~ But that will be like my back up occupation now
  14. Thanks!!! This is totally my dream kitchen. Pity I don't have a balcony or this house will be perfect! I'm going to decorate more now then I'll have more photos pankponk~ Can't wait to start cooking too Kara!
  15. It's very windy at my place too from the limited times I've been up there... The wind messes with the fan and you don't really feel it. I might have to try the reverse mode for the fan and see if it works better when it is windy. The island itself is very tall and I'm going to have to get a step ladder thingy for my mum and sis when they decide they want to come over and bake. But my neighbours who signed the same ID said they concluded we're like bakers who needed the space to decorate cakes... They were stunned by how young we were Your "no gate" is looking amazing please. Now I wonder why I have gate. I still think the yale one that I got was too ex but in SG they're all standard price so oh well! Will go get a digital peephole soon so that can catch any movements outside the house.
  16. OMG your door looks mag! The texture and design! Makes me tempted too! The digital lock looks amazing too! Glad you "talked" me into buying it too!
  17. Hi xiang, Mr Lim is not with AN Digital. He is recommended by a few other T-Bloggers. I tried contacting him but decided to go with AN since it's more convenient. The AN Digital installer says he will not work direct so I didn't get his contact. Hi desmtooh, Thanks for the compliments! Totally agree... Anyway, everyone that sees it says look like condo or that I have to cook more. Why can't it be the hubby?!? Oh I remember! He need to help me clean that's why!!
  18. Finally, after a long hiatus! I'm back for almost the final update. I've been getting lots of compliments on my kitchen which I'm extremely proud of~ Thank you all! Here are some of the handover photos! Not done accessorizing but moved some of our buys and personal collectibles in and the place already looks like it's lived in! We've moved all our books in so we've got a full bookshelf! So satisfied with the space! Going to spruce the place up with more accessories... a floor lamp and stationery holders and some pictures for the walls... and curtains... but this is what we have at the moment...
  19. Lux! I'm back! How's living in your new place? Totally agree that at least he's honest enough to about it! Still not cool~ We're loving the keyless process. Had to move stuff up to the place over the weekend and we just closed the door behind us to grab more stuff downstairs and we're look feels so cool not to need to bring anything out! Haha!
  20. Belated congrats on your moving in! The whole place looks lovely! Where did you get your carpet from?
  21. Hi Bryant, Thank you for being informative but I do not appreciate you advertising services on other people's thread especially after I've done all installations and have positive reviews about my chosen lock suppliers and installers. Please set up your own thread and provide your own comparisons etc there. Thank you!
  22. I actually read about them too!
  23. Hi iluvfff, Sorry I've been MIA! Been planning and wedding and doing reno! The P718 is an equivalent model and the one we got is a parallel locally distributed on Korea only one. I think the price difference justifies as there is really no difference in function and the colour looks better too! It's really your choice but I've been getting a lot of positive comments from neighbours/friends/clients of my ID when they see it. Installation will cost you an additional $150-$160. Given the growth in use of digital locks it shouldn't be that difficult to get repair support if you ever need it. the same RFID can be used between the different models/brands as RFID works based on the same frequency. I've PM-ed you the contact!
  24. I haven't seen it yet and hopefully everything gets done this week and I can take nice photos to share! So agree that we should go visiting! I love the look of yours so far
  25. I think so too! I just love the new lock!! Good to poison a few more like minded people!
