    Why "Timeless Cozy Corner"? I realized I didn't explain the title of my t-blog right from the beginning. =X Timeless: As we are unsure how long (or short) will we stay in this 1st home, it's better to go with a design that is timeless... something we won't get sick of seeing after a few years. Modern clean lines with the timeless dark wood as our main materials should never go wrong (i hope). Cozy: My husband & I loves to unwind at the end of the day watching sitcom or a nice movie... so creating a home with cozy ambiance (plus some aroma diffuser) is what we are looking into~ Corner: Our unit is located at the corner of the block... that's about it haha.

    We put it in our current home (in-law's) hahaha. Reason they had to deliver so early was because we bought the display set @ almost 40% off! It's one of the newest model too... so it's a steal. Ya actually not safe to keep at the house during reno. Other appliances we will arrange for delivery after carpentry is up. I think most big-name shops can hold for 3-6 months after you order.

    Your contractor/ID need to apply for hacking of wall permit. They will need to submit the floor plan indicating which wall(s) want to be hacked. HDB architect (based on what my HDB customer svc officer said) will then review and once it's approved, they will issue the permit. You can see the permit in "My HDBpage".

    Kompacplus top looks pretty! Gave a warm fuzzy feel~~~ We initially wanted to customize MBR toilet vanity cabinet with quartz top... but the price quoted to us is too ex... so just gonna buy off-the-shelf haha.

    Think my ID sent Bianco Ariston to me when i asked for marble too! But still far from the real ones... ><" HGtv kind of portrays that all the angmohs seems to go with granite & marble. I suppose it's cheaper for them because the mountains/stones are nearer to them? haha. Wow mid November! Just nice can slowly pack & move in... and have your very 1st Christmas party @ your own crib!

    1st one looks nice! I like the 3 different colors with different materials. Young & classy! 2nd one is wooden top...i think also will damage hahaha... 3rd one double vanity how i wish HDB can squeeze in LOL.

    I love those white marble-like counter tops too! Absolutely gorgeous! I think I watch too much HGtv. LOL. I asked my ID does iquartz have something like the marble... sadly no... So tempted to change to marble~~~ But when i think of the price + high maintenance of it... better don't try. >< How many weeks are you into your reno? Hope it will be over for you soon! Can't wait to see the complete photos!

    i agree with u that the bathroom 3D looks a bit out & old as compared to the rest of the 3D (which looks great!). Also, you may want to do hanging cabinets to prevent water damage.

    End of Week 2 Yesterday, our TV was delivered! Today, we dropped by our place for 5 mins to take a look on our way back... Nothing much done except some kerbs + MBR bath wall... Living room floor should be done by next week. Can't wait to see it!

    Thank you! Mine is an ID. As we didn't know exactly what design we actually wanted, we went for an ID instead to help us piece the things we like together. you collect keys yet? Just saw your t-blog! Looks like yours is halfway there!

    Site Visit (16.10.2015) Today, le husband dropped by to say HI to the workers for the first time! Apparently, now only got 1 contractor working on site as it's only the beginning. He said the contractor-uncle is very friendly! He has 20yrs of experience... and had known our ID for many years le. These are good news to us! Okay... let the photos do the talking... The very expensive prepacked cement that everyone is paying now... MBR Bathroom wall is prep for overlay le! The uncle said it will be done today... and sub-con will do the color grouting tomorrow. The wall hacked at kitchen/dining area but haven't make good... View from inside the kitchen looking out to the living/TV area... Looking forward to our next visit to see the wall tiles & living room floor tiles up! Happy Friday everyone! #TGIF

    Good to know their CS is good! Hope to check them out soon! you may want to chope the sofa you've shortlisted before it's gone. Unless still unsure about it?

    HAHAHA butt test...! I know what you mean because me too! Such big items... need to test test before buying. Sofa must make sure it's comfy enough to nua while watching TV... and high enough to rest the head will be perfect! Will update if i got go down Star Living! Probably will compare Commune, Castlery & Star Living
