thanks for the info, but can't the compressor be stacked up one another? or not allowed to stack up?
-
Just wondering how you can get all the measurement, I bet you must be online on site and measure it directly..! (just kidding...)
-
some minor correction.. paiseh.. (it should be 1.8m and 0.7m, instead of 1.8cm and 0.7cm), so it goes like.. Take ruler and 1.8 M = 1800mm 1800mm / 305 = 5.9 feet 0.7M = 700mm 700mm / 305 = 2.3 feet btw, thanks for the info.. Didn't know that H4happy actually can online in JM...!

Haha.. very good detail info!. Thanks redbottle... ! Just wanted to confirm, HDB electricity able to pump in the power for two compressors? (System 3 + System 2) Heard the most they can go is only System 4, which I seriously doubt so with the power limitation imposed by HDB.
-
it is 0% completed! Means not completed yet. Went to check my unit yesterday, HDB has place some sand on the area which they going to do cement screeding. For any update, you can always check my blog (gadgetgalsg.blogspot.com) Yeah, am still looking out for matresses. I suppose the model is Missouri? Mind to share more of it?. Price, where to get, whether going for bulk purchase, etc. Dorcas, From what I know, only Toshiba one can't go out of the window (by the aircon ledge). Mitsubishi Electric doesn't have any problem with that.

Sure can open house for neighbours!. we can arrange that before the furniture is loaded and after the furniture is loaded. But must help to point out if you guys notice any defects. ps: now only waiting HDB to cement screed, after cement screed then only he will start full force. His payment is pretty standard to the market rate, 10-40-40-10. Well, since we gonna live there for a pretty long time, maybe should have build our neighbourhood watch as well, keep a lookout for each other.

Linggie,.. that is a very nice goldfishes..!

Hi Owens, You can refer to my renovator, Henry from Impress21. I can tell you he is superfast, and deliver on schedule!. Well, I asked him to do marking for the cement screeding (so as HDB will be able to follow), he mentioned monday morning (today), and he informed me once he has done it too!. Pretty fair in price. My new reno blog... gadgetgalsg.blogspot.com... do post your comments and advices too.

Hi Owens.. Welcome.. to the forum You can request HDB to do cement screeding for you - FOC . Mind me kaypo a bit? Btw, where are you renting the unit now?, and how big is the flat?. Thanks...

Holding my breath... chopter type? and blade will open up??. sounds very cool.. an eye opener indeed... guess am a bit 'sua ku'... never seen such a thing. even the remote control fan, we just saw it the first time 2 months back when we stroll along balestier and surveying lights and ceiling fans... haiih... technology advances so fast. haiih... been so long din go for such things liao.. been using the manual one for dunno how many donkey years. and also normally ceiling fan won't broke down that easily... so never replace or repair before. wah.. that you need to check with HDB and report back here For me, I am fine with any type, as long as it looks decently okay, and serve the purpose (prevent anyone to jump from my unit!! ) hahaha... well, prevention for the future kids rather.. Personal perspective though... for me, I won't go for something that big, few reasons, house/area not so big, if put big tiles, the coverage may looks weird. not sure if it is expensive, if expensive lagi worse,.. if scratched or need to replace, will have to fork out more $$$ and affect more space/area. Well $$ may not be so much affected, but with our house getting smaller... it may not go well with bigger tiles, kinda like small body with big head. Well, the same logic goes for Kronotex mammut and kronotex amazone (mammut have bigger planks, while amazone has smaller), this concept was told by the salesman to me in expo last time, and it sounds logic. Just my 2 cents.. we've got aquarium too,.. and the maintenance.. aih,.. quite difficulat (well, it really depends on the ecosystem you set). was thinking to get a digital or moving one,.. with sound of water flowing.. no maintenance and look nice (now probably can live in my computer only, instead on the wall).

Yes, you need to follow the pattern which will be given out when you collect your key from HDB. Thanks for reminding me too . I may need to pass that picture of pattern to my renovator as well. Well, for us we chose ceiling fan and air-con (don't wish to hack walls or install split-con next time when we think of getting one in the future). It is going to be one time and that's it!. we may choose to switch it on either ceiling fan or aircon when we got guest or some occassion or festives. I saw in some other forum which mentioned, switching a fan and air-con may bring the room/area cool faster and save more electricity. (not sure how true it is, but looks logical to me) Btw, you bought "A 3D goldfish Protrait- $350" ? Is the fish moving?. was thinking to get one synthetic aquarium portrait where the fishes can move around, and no need to maintain the tank itself!. (Not sure whether got such item or not... )

I saw the brand name crestar enterprise. I think crestar brand. but dunno where to get the exact same one I am looking for (plus a remote, the one I saw is a pull-string type), hope to get one with five lights protrude down from the fan with either tube like or flower design (me a bit old-fashion one..haha..) and must have remote one (me lazy bone ). Some say KDK is very good, my old folks also say so, personally I think more or less the same. Crestar enterprise 21 Lorong Ampas #07-00 Hai Nan Industrial Building Singapore 3258762 Also, saw some along Balestier road, which we kinda like, but we're kind put off by the fact that the blade of the ceiling fan is made of wood (well it's heavy and may not give cool feeling, personal perspective feels that steel may be better). Those cost around 300+ (cheapest, some try to chop your head by asking 400++) Most probably, we'll be installing ceiling fan (with attached light at the bottom) and also aircon in living rooms. (well, standing fan takes place). Just personal opinion (no offense to those doing L-box tho), I won't be doing L-box and install lights on L-box either, as we feel not so practical, well they looks nice, but warm with those yellow lights, and again u need to install aircon to cool it down. (me doing cornices only)

Very informative. Thanks a lot!. Anyone else with some advice?. I will probably looking for a ceiling fan as well (with attached light below for my living room, and remote control operated). Saw one in Blk25A, forgot which floor. pretty nice.. will post the pic later. And will be going down to Allbest this weekend too with my floor plan and probably book it after price comparison with some other supplier in IMM. Anyone thinking of having a bulk purchase power? (heard from other forummer that it may not affect the price that much, not sure too but can try though). May need to set up my reno blog this weekend too!. Phew exciting with the reno works.. but kinda sad to part with hard earned $$$...

Hi Vince!! Great to know that you are progressing well. May I know where did you get all your lights?. I will probably go down to Balestier, Jln Besar (or some other places this weekend). Any tips to share on where not to go and where I should go for good lighting deals?. Also wish to see how you have progressed, some pictures to share with us would be very great!

Yeap, indeed. $1000 a day may not seems so much to the developer, who may have it done in hundred of millions for the whole estate .
-
Yeah. heard from the site construction worker, must be completed by 31st Dec 2007. Otherwise, they will be fined $1000/day. Hope there's no quality issues though.

That is pretty nice and simple. Btw, I notice there is an oven below the hob, does your cousin use it alot? (say once a week) what about the heat produce by the oven? any effect on the cabinet? As the position is pretty low (below the hob), any consideration on kids playing with it, or even playing with the switches?. *Sigh... been considering where to put for such built-in oven, and/or whether should go for portable one instead.
-
Ooh.. okay. Thanks Alister and Ms White. Will probably go down to Allbest and gain city to compare and get their pricing again this weekend. Just wondering whether there will be any sale/discounts across electrical appliances shop/wholesaler for the Deepavali celebrations next weekend hor. Kinda forget what the norm is.
-
Wow... nope nope. that is bomb shelter.. no drillings or whatsoever. otherwise.. big big fine coming to you guys.
-
Nemo, actually when you collect keys, you were given a form. For my case, I call them up (didn't fill in anything/forms), then shoot email out. After follow up and keep chasing, it is done within a week. (not much defect though, only some scratches on the door).
-
Btw, what is PLC?
-
Hmm! Good Idea!. Why didn't I think of Grey colour... only yellowish or Beige color in my head. let me check w my spouse and MIL. Thanks a lot!! !! Btw, how's your Built-in Oven design? do you plan to have one? or you go for portable one? Hmm... any reason of keeping the retractable one?. was thinking to install a ceiling mounting one and hang bamboo pole for the same functionality. Anyone having such a thought too?. Actually, quite a waste we can't reuse that retractable hanging stuff from HDB. *sigh..
-
Nope. only cement screed MBR and study room for laminated floor. The rest, homo tiles. Nemo, thanks for the shower screen info !. will think about it and go to the site again or probably view others show flat as well. xlan,.. nice design and drawings you have there!. just wondering, where do you place your washing machine?. is it at the back of the kitchen sink?. I am still struggling with the color of my kitchen cabinet, and the color of tiles for cement support for hob and sink. as well as my granite top (either black or white). if I go for white kitchen cabinet, it will turn yellow very soon. Anyone any advice? Nemo, our kitchen layout has nothing fancy. we plan to take out the retractable piece of steel, and replace with top kitchen cabinet, and bottom will be kitchen sink (at the corner by the window will be our washing machine). While hob and hood will be on the other side (longer side of the wall near to the corner). Fridge will be next to the kitchen entrance, which follow a full height kitchen cabinet (for us to place Oven and/or microwave). Still not sure about built-in oven and/or microwave. Some salesman at Harvey Norman mentioned that most kitchen cabinet can't take the heat of the built-in oven, so it may spoilt or turn yellowish in within a year. Well my MIL bakes a lot, not sure whether we should go for built-in one or table-top/portable one. (was thinking to build one as she likes that kinda design a lot). Anyone any advice?. (probably anyone has any experience on this?)

Anyone going for Air-con bulk purchase?. Alister, ms white, do include me if your are going for bulk purchase. My plan of getting one is within 3-4 weeks time (after my cement screeding is done). Preferred vendor is All-best though,... but if anyone has lower price better quality,.. it is fine for me too!.
