  1. if you seem so sceptical why did u sign with him in the first place... its very obvious if any hacking was done or not... and no idiot will do suck a lengthy work piece just to earn a few hundreds,.. he may end up losing more than earning,... just my 2.5 cents worth of thoughts btw, u wan me inspect for you ? 500 dollars.... for before and after site inspection hahaha... and 1800 for site coordinations haha... hope my QUOTE is right...
  2. Come to RENOGURU i will explain to you step by step how should a Reno discussion be.... Pm me
  3. If you could do a BIZgov search for this company, boy would you be impressed. they change company names like yearly ? reason i heard is they couldn't pay off their suppliers... dunnoe whether its true or not... agents bring you there cos they got 5 percent comm.... and where does it come from, you! A list of searches bring me to MAX's Design Max's Image Max's Interiors
  4. You have a very contractor style quote there my friend... Maybe you would like to pm me for more info
  5. PE endorsement fees are standard 500+++ Haulage is also quite standard 600+++ HDB permit FOC but then again PE Endorsement is usually under request frm HDB and you will be notified if its needed or not so dun get cheated ok
  6. Unimax and Cisern and on the same range style jus that Unimax Has a more matured staff group whereas ciscern have young enegry driven staff... so for ease of mind... choose a mature person to undertake your project or a young one to give u many many ideas....
  7. Substance ID is a new firm of not more than 6 mths in the market. They DO NOT have HDB license and in this case, most prob they will buy a license to actually carry out works. Please pm me for more info... You can consider taking a 39k project with a company with a start up capital of less than 10 dollars its a risk.... companies like this have a lot of drive in before sales service as the sales value is crucial towards their running cost. Go to ROC and pay 15 dollars for a detail company background information. From my knowledge, buying a HDB license is not advisable and maybe if you are from TPY central Blk 79 you can approach this company i know who has special packages for that... i have heard from others that leonard did serve them and he is quite helpful and informative... I hope they can do the job well as Blk 79C is a standard flat and lots of works require HDB approval. If they are familiar with the Rules and Regulations, Previously, a few of my friends did wanted to sign up with SUBStance Until they rated the pros and cons of having a HDB license or Not... in comparision with the price difference
  8. Only 1 company offer 8 years warranty. So far as i know... Pm me which co and i maybe able to help btw, warranty if i am nt wrong covers solely on workmanship thus they will most probably call someone to inspect the extent of the damages... Call up the main company. They will be able to address the problems. Leave casetrust aside unless main co does not respond... Pm me for more info.
  9. COOS is like off road contractor.... very kopitiam shake leg style.... their price can Neg

  11. Hi all, i am RenoGuru. I am here to provide advice in how to select an ID firm to the best of your choice. Please post your questions and i will try my best to answer them. I have worked in many ID firms before and therefore know their methods and of course credibility. I am not in this industry anymore so please do not as me for quotations. A few helpful topics that i can share with all of you is these, HDB home owners. Always refer back to HDB for their list of registered renovators. http://www.hdb.gov.sg/bn25/isos118p.nsf/BN...RChome?openform 1 reason why you should get a registered HDB renovator is because the min requirement is that they must follow certain guidelines when renovating and that is for the best interest of your new home Secondly, Some firms which do not have their own License, "buy" from off road contractor firms but if anything were to happen, you will be held liable for it not them as they can push away the responsiblity Example, ABC ID firm is doing up your place but their permit is under XYZ company. So when anything happens, who should you look for... ABC ? Or XYZ ? If you happen to be at the expo home living fairs, pleae go with an open mind... Number 1 concern you should be looking at is Company credibility. Under the Registry of Companies, You are able to find the companies Info and of course more importantly, their business capital, many companies are running on 1 dollar - 6 dollars start up and have never increased. This reflects strongly on their ability to take up big projects. Secondly is Company Accrediation. Companies with a whole list of Accrediation is good but make sure it is relevant. Some of the accrediations that is Important is 1. HBAY they only have 13 members out of the 3000 renovators in Singapore 2. Casetrust Who better than the consumer association to protect your interests 3. RADAC The watchdog for the renovation industry 4. RCMA they ensure material and production quality this is just some information about the relevant certificates that is personally, i think, needed for a company to be called Professional. I shall end for here... Feel free to comment or post questions and i shall answer them 1 by 1. Please do ask me for recommendations if you need.
