  1. Yeah it is very chio but not so kawaii as the kichen Aid in colour terms. If I had a choice,I would opt for pastel colours.
  2. Hello Charemme, The website itself does not carry a wide range of mixer as there's only one product and not much information compared to the information on the brochure. This is the model.
  3. More likely, all customers are all 'robert' to them, can chop carrot like that.
  4. Hmm your finalised quotation says included hdb permit fee but isn't HDB permit FOC since there's no permit fee involved. I don't remember paying HDB permit fee for mine.
  5. It is genuine, direct from the company itself. I have the brochure on the mixer currently and I like the functions the mixer comes with but must go down and see for myself. They should be having xmas promo by now but not sure 'cos need to check.
  6. Or else just hang professionally done photographs of your family to hang on the wall.
  7. Jiayou Jiayou. If you don't intend to enhance that horse part, maybe you might want to paint the surrounding areas around the horse a striking red or some other colour to match with your living area furniture.
  8. No wonder, i see parts of the picture showing. Nvm, better late than now kekeke. Then when your open house event is ready, we can look and admire the picture as well. :notti:
  9. Lol, Then must set target date to finish your walls leh. 3000 jigsaw puzzle will take quite some time. My friend last time bought several 1000 pcs & 3000 pc jigsaw puzzle as a hobby and this hobby of hers took between 3 - 6 months to finish.
  10. Now christmas season, can try doing a log-cake. But must see if got time or not? Practice makes perfect, you can do it. Your walls still need DIY meh? Your home is already so chio.
  11. Where got ugly, your attempt to do icing is quite good, better than mine. I am terrible at it. *cross moi heart* I'm fine, just that have been busy preparing for an important event last month and had only time to relax and breathe in before the next one comes up. When are you going to have an open house event?
  12. Wow liao, the cupcake or issit muffins look so good, kopi-o so lucky to get from newnyew. Newnyew : your living area looks good but can't see the full living area. The horse part, maybe you might want to do a dual tone of shadow? It would contrast really nicely.
  13. That's good, I was thinking of buying this buffalo mixer from another source as the price is cheaper than the kitchen Aid & the functions sounds good.
  14. Hi all, Anyone has bought kitchen electrical stuff by buffalo before? Any feedback on the buffalo brand? Thanks
  15. Ah, now you mention it, it was a slightly hot but not as hot as some laptops are after a period of usage.
  16. Any difference now that the laptop's fixed? I can't tell yet.
  17. Kopi-o I got that recall too. Thought it would be a replacement but turns out it will be a change of the parts not what my hubby was told.
  18. The cement bases for kitchen cabinet, fridge washing machine and master vanity seem a little exp. I'm not sure about the kerbs but it does seem a little costly for the kerbs as well. My kitchen length is 13ft and solid surface is $700, also it depends on whether your kitchen cabinets are going to have alot of drawers/doors since my kitchen contractor last time did say the cost will differ for those with doors and drawers respectively To be honest, you can cut costs by going direct to Pergo and get them to quote you since the savings differs by a few hundred because if they have promotional price psf, it is way cheaper. And you can source for your Solid surface top on your own, it would be cheaper since you go direct without any 'middleman' like IDs or contractors.
  19. I also have no idea whats the rationale for having cement bases but I think it probably has something to do with washing of the kitchen floor. Same reasoning for the kitchen cabinets having bases or suspension. Personally, I don't have any problems with the fridge and washing machine having washed my kitchen floor quite a number of times already. Pergo is not bad but I don't have the budget for pergo, so opted for supreme instead. Supreme's service has been fairly decent, including the after-sales. I would think in terms of economic reasoning, the big 'IF' i were to move out several years down the road, then I won't feel so heart pain to part with everything since I saved some money from my renovation this way. I'd save the best things for my permanent home instead. Like firehorse mentioned, all these are basic points you need to watch out for in dealing with contractors/IDs. Btw, those freebies are NOT free at all. They are just simply factored in the quotation and just passed off under the disguise of 'free gifts'. If you are interested in such free gifts promotion, make sure you get your worth's by getting MORE freebies included without any extra cost added as you are paying for them somewhat.
  20. Eh, I haven't been in RT for a while and new's blog spanned so many pages???? I hear New is quite chio le, never see her before also.
  21. Yo Doraemon, Sorry, been too busy - got something very important coming up next week so haven't been logging in as often as I'd would have liked. Your list seems quite extensive - can't see where the prices are going but if its bundle pricing, I'd advise you to weigh the pros-cons of the paints provided + the price differences for the contractors. Either way, you can see where your comparisons vs the market rate is reasonable. For the cement screed, my place was just like yours, a new unit left vacant for 6 years due to oversupply but the main balcony already had cement screeding done before, so it is better to confirm if your balcony has been cement screeded before - you save the money for the cement screeding. HDB sent their contractor to do the cement screeding for my place(whole unit except the toilets/balcony) first. Then my external contractor (Ho Bee) did the kitchen flooring after the cement screeding was done. You can however omit several unimportant items from your list if you're on a budget. E.g; I did away with the fridge and washing machine base - simply because the fridge has 'legs' + my family home does not even have bases for both fridge/washing machine & there was no major issue for not having any base after that.
  22. I am absolutely in love with the pink cupcakes - a devilishly treat beckoning me. But I got to agree with Julia that the icing is the main part that takes alot of effort. Imagine a dozen cupcakes - piping individually with different colours and so on. Its more time consuming than icing 1 round cake in terms of decorating, creativity and more mess to clean up. Cupcakes need to be baked, the batter used is different. No-bake cheesecake is refrigerated like tiramisu.
  23. Kopi, yes I made those but they are no where as good as other lovely mooncakes I've seen. Actually I have some recipes for ice cream mooncakes but haven't gotten round to learn how to make them or traditional mooncakes either as I'm the only guinea pig to eat the test mooncakes. My hubby don't like to eat mooncakes, so bo pian. Wait next year to do them.
  24. Made 2nd batch of mooncakes since I have leftover paste from the 1st batch. The pandan colour is much lighter this time. I also experimented with yoghurt and came out with a yoghurt mooncake that went fairly well in terms of taste. Wishing all 中秋节快乐 Strawberry Yoghurt, Pandan & Mango Pingpi Mooncakes
