  1. Cheese and durian are thick flavours, so bearing that in mind.. you might want to reduce cheese by at least 10-20% in ratio to the amount of durian puree you're using for the cake. You should start experimenting with a small cake to see it goes & how much you want to reduce or increase
  2. No leh, it is an effort to make cookies, so don't say that. Actually hor, the mango part on the cake reminds me totally of durian flesh.
  3. At least your ID will try to rectify if your ID takes the initiative to do so.
  4. Yep it can be used for chocolate sauces, ganache though, just like how brandy is being used for tiramasu. But got to say in advance, I think that kahlua is the type you can't drink in one gulp on its own like any other alcohol unless you mix with other alcohol 'cos it has a sticky texture. I've never tried drinking it on its own though.
  5. Looks okay to me and doesn't look ugly also. Can even package it nicely in those pretty cookie bags.
  6. Show!!!!!!!!!! I don'r mind!!!!!!
  7. Any damage ard there? If so, you should ask for some compensation or rectification. Taken pictures yet?
  8. ^5 lol Angel81, Charemme : Kahlua is nice, strong coffee taste but if for chocolate ganache, dun need to add alot, just 5-10ml will do. But if mix with other drinks, I'd say go with baileys! Baileys and kahlua won't go wrong, its utterly intoxicating - a bit chocolately creamy feel with a strong taste of liquor. Baileys doesn't have a chocolate feel, just a creamy feel with the liquour. So it's different when mixed with kahlua.
  9. Can show pics of your doggie cookies? I've never tried doggie cookie before. But if its for dogs, the blandness should be there since dogs cannot take salty or sweet stuff - bad for their body
  10. Wow, new.. you are GOOD! Looks very colourful but not 'obiang'. Its like funky meets contemporary chic
  11. Rondy, your apple pie looks good! It would look even nicer if the strips were placed like a basket weave or like ketaput pattern
  12. Doggie cookies, are those the ones with koko crunch bits for the ears ah? Sure when I lay my hands on the mixer. :notti:
  13. No wonder, DBS is the only local bank with POSB under it ma. So I think DBS probably don't want to waive 'cause the situation differs with other foreign banks = piece of the financial market everywhere. But yeah, IB rocks except using this service makes us poorer everyday. ROFLOL =x
  14. Ah just checked, no letter yet. Hmm I only remember HSBC always aim renovation/housing/mortgage/personal loans more. CC promo is dependent on the tie-up with which merchant though. If you're a long time customer can ask the bank to waive the subscription fees provided you keep being their customer or else make noise? =x
  15. Angel81 : Went to Tangs today and there's no more stock except the display model. The free blender don't have any other functions besides blending and making fruit juice? I think a blender with food processing function would be more worth it. So I think I aim the buffalo mixer. Agreed baking is super addictive, its even better when you have kids and they love the pastries also. Charemme, you're lucky to have a brother who can cook. Men who can cook in the kitchen is hard to catch 'cos even though there are male chefs in the cooking profession, how many guys you know actually cooks and dotes on a woman with his cooking? :notti:
  16. Agreed! I shall go do my research at tangs later or these few days - hopefully promo still on. I wonder which day it be when the pink colour's going to be launched? I think you're referring to the meat slicer/grinder - I think thats what its called when I last saw it on mayer's site
  17. Yeah! I think we're becoming the 'modern version' of the stepford wives, going gaga over pink colour, the most feminine or ultra-cute colour.
  18. Ah, the K-mix is 4.8Litres , the Kenwood Patissier is 4Litres while the Buffalo mixer is 4.1Litres though. The buffalo mixer price is lower than the patissier but the promo with blender for patissier is definitely with chasing after since the blender/food processor according to a lobang is a little bit exp. PS: The buffalo mixer also have a 'fold' function.
  19. I totally 'heart' pink colour. Hmm, baking looks complicated at first because of the conversion in pounds/grams/oz and temperature in celcius/Farenheit since most baking recipes online are mostly suited to western tastes - Their sweet tooth is 2 x sweeter. But I can confirm, baking is easier! I don't need to tear my hair out thinking of new dishes to cook everyday so that dinner won't be so boring & the hubby won't be sick of my food all the time.
  20. I didn't see any letter for property tax in my letterbox yesterday, maybe check again tonight. If it's for next year, I think should be fine since even TV license have to be renewed on a yearly basis begining Jan - Dec.
  21. Sounds good, maybe I drop by Tangs these few days since I'm eyeing either a blender or a food processor for puree & biscuit base. Any idea when is their promo ending & any other colours available at tangs besides red if i remember yours is a red colour.
  22. Yeap very cyber. The good thing is it is cheaper than the K-Mix. (It's below $500 range, can't confirm the price yet as I need to check the pricing with xmas promo if any, first) Cooking is a headache to me actually 'cos I still got to think up of the menu to cook everyday. That's what I hate the most - Lazy me right? Baking is easier, more straightforward. Lol, don't worry feimei. It's not even mine yet leh, so I can only dream about it. It's now on my wish-list shhh... waiting for the hubby to notice my wish-list.
  23. Haha I dunno if it is wise to paint over considering that mixer will be used for making cakes etc etc, wonder if safe or not to paint it before using hor?
