Hi all It is now Close to the end of 2007. Reaching out for 2008. Poor me was still working till 5 today, however, the best thing was i met some wonderful and warm neighbours! Thanks. This new year, i wish that all of us will settle in nicely at our new homes and live blissfully ever after... I heard about the security issues at jln membina too, seems like we have to be more careful, as in having double locks or triple locks if need be. In fact i just received a call fr my ID, saying that my tiles which was brought up by the haulage people and left outside the door. a few were chipped off at the side and ID was fuming mad. cos now using a number lock. but the tiles are quite expensive thus should be brought in. but i will leave it to the ID to sort it out bah. Lots of headache for now... haha this was supposed to be for wishing u guys smooth operations and happy reno and moving in... hi happy yah maybe cos i remember seeing that sumwhere have something to check with u guys, any one doing tampered glass type for their kitchen door? if yes having any problems with the top part? cos most doors are 7ft tall, this leaves the top part open, do u all fill it up with plaster or jus leave it open? many thanx

hi hi bro yang & everybody tot abt the curtain issue... i saw sumwhere in this forum, sumone actually bought those ikea type with two holders (to hold two poles) and drill into the window grill. could be done. cos there is actually like a beam protruding above unless u set the curtain very far out. sorry i can't remember which page. another option probably could try to bend the pole holders so that they will rest nicely... have to check with ID. (my two cents) me and fiance are pretty bent on using the ikea ones as it is really cheaper and really look nice and cosy... dun like those Tailor made ones that have the hook and all. And Wow this thread is moving so fast... i could hardly catch up. it is really nice to meet all future neighbours here and thanks for all the valuable insights to the reno works and such. i m a newbie and this is my first home. My fiance is currently overseas for work and i am left to do up our "love nest". he will be back only in the second half of next year and it could be extended, thus i am left with this task. hi xiao xiin and happy tell u what i bought kitchen lights x2 toilet lights x2 dining x1 (crystal light) living area light +fan x1 three bedrooms lights +fansx3 bomb shelter jus a bulb type and passageway lights and master bed room the entrance light is 2k, basically i use all the light points hdb give and have no additional points is that cheap?

hi sam07 sorry have been real busy i was contemplating gas but decided against it as i heard that it is costly. and gas heater only one point will be hot at one time, say if u are bathing in bathroom, kitchen cannot on hot water, if not bathroom 's water will be cold... and i checked with a friend who recently shifted into the coris, he said the smaller storage electric heater is sufficient i think he bought the big one from ariston. and he said heating is a few minutes not 10-15 mins as what others said. so a lot of different views from different people. u can call city gas they will be pleased to help u. i went to city gas gallery at 111 somerset and they even have a dryer run by gas.
