  1. went to alumix factory today. got their system for abt 1.9k. i feel so xin tong. but it's a whopping 17ft L-shaped wardrobe. for 2 persons use. hubby insists on getting a longer one. he says i've too many clothes. we toyed with the idea of using alumix bi-fold door for the kitchen entrance. it's definitely prettier than those toilet door look alike bi fold doors. if i din remember wrongly, glass ones cost $680. laminated ones is cheaper but they have very limited choice for laminates. so happy to see their bi-fold doors. but hubby wants to kiv first since we cannot agree on the colour. then after dinner, we went over to courts to see see look look. one saleman caught us and recommend this samsung 40" LCD tv LA40R71BAX. he says they are having "5 exclusive sets" promotion, selling at $1999 each. according to him, it's a 2 month old model. but after doing some research online, it seems that r81 is the latest model leh, not r71. so confusing... anyway, i already bought it.
  2. sliding door at foyer side is my first choice. the ppl i've talked to all say not possible, cos either that the main door will bang into it or that there's not enuf space for the track. but if xlan's id can do it, why they can't? don't really want sliding door hiding behind the fridge. 1stly, don't wish to relocate the sockets. 2ndly, it will become a space to accumulate dust. one contractor suggest doing a bi-fold door such that when the door is opened, it rests nicely on the wall. next to the opened door will be the shoe cabinet. this idea is creative but i've cannot imgaine how it will turn out to be. dunno will look nice or not. i suggested pd door and he said the quality is bad. will pose lotsa problems in the future. the only choice i have left is swing glass door.
  3. it's the foyer side. the wall between foyer and kitchen. thanks for all your advice. i'll get a glass swing door without floor spring. save money. yeah! gadgetgal, is your fixed panel at the fridge side or the toilet side?
  4. thanks!! i think we did ask for floor spring. not sure wad it is called. but it's the metal piece that's drilled into the floor that gives a groove feel when open. i thot it will be safer with this. so how ah? do u think this floor spring is necessary? our kitchen entrance is such a headache. all sorts of door also cannot accomodate.
  5. can i check with 4-roomers, how much are you quoted for homo tiles for living/dining+foyer+HHS+passageway, excluding sand and haulage? i receive quotes from 1k+ to 2k+ for this. tiles used not much price difference. i just learn that for sand and haulage, if u are using cement screeding in the bedrooms for laminate flooring, u can actually bargain with town council for lower price. reason being you are buying less sand than those who are doing homo tiles for the whole flat. i'm also quoted china granite top (dunno wad galaxy) at $120/ft and kitchen glass swing door at $950. is this expensive?
  6. congrats cindy!! your appointment date is even earlier than mine. so jealous... hehe... zlia and peng ling, i've pm u the contacts. remember to bargain!!
  7. yup sure! mine is ac5 8mm. they are selling at $4.50 psf (usual price). i got it at a lower price cos my hubby happen to know one of the supreme guys there. however, i'm sure you can still bargain for a lower price.
  8. i'm using supreme laminate flooring for bedrooms. signed up with them at the exhibition some time ago. (so kiasu!) i'll pm u the contacts when i get home.
  9. not yet leh... planning to get contractor as we are only doing the basics. originally shortlisted ho bee but he is busy till after chinese new year. now i'm waiting for impress21 to get back to me. feeling very lost now...
  10. i see i see... then really need to shoot them! sorry for the misunderstanding.
  11. hi cindy-monkeybone, of cos i know u staying same blk as me. wad i mean is when they will release the remaining keys. dun forget mine is a "special" case.
  12. i've never spoken to anyone from credit dept. all the while i only call my CSM. maybe can ask CSM when you can expect to receive keys since the flats are now completed? from there you can gauge when you need the HLE to be re-approved.
  13. mine's a lady too. actually i dunno how they work. but since she is from customer service, i guess she is the one we approach when we need
  14. i'm from low floor. last few to select mah... i think it's either that my CSM is very nice or that she cannot tahan my nagging. after i saw that my AHG is approved, i called her hp from morning till evening (just to follow up). no answer at all. but surprisingly, she called me back at 630, which is already after her office hours.
  15. mine's under balloting. we selected on the last or 2nd last day. our HLE actually expired on 1st nov but my officer has extended for us the very next day. btw, we have not signed the agreement for lease. cos we applied for AGH and could only sign AFL after AGH is approved. thus, i'll be signing the AFL and collecting keys on the same day. i called them up for many many times! i'm sure your turn will come very soon.
  16. hiya, i'm from 26C. collecting keys next thursday 15th nov.
