  1. to me there r two options to make it look nice. 1) since your main dr faces the kitchen, u should do a open concept kitchen which will be a very nice n chio view from main door. a high tech open concept trendy kitchen is very nice. do not built a shoe rack facing door . not good for fendshui n those $ use on that canuse it to do a very very nice kitchen. but of cos need to top up more. 2)make a sliding glass door with sandblast finishes will do the trick. but if your kitchen is very high tech u can do a clear glass instead of sandblast. glass is natually nice so no need to worry. or u can do a glass pivot door with a very nice long handle will also make your view nice n high tech classic
  2. sorry been very busy recently. so whats your choice? i bet u chose glass type cos u sound like u like glass verymuch.
  3. tempered glass install at kitchen is all spray paint type. glass are usually in clear & spray to any color u want select from ici paint catelogue . by right those paint spray onto the glass are not just normal paint. they have special paint for glass use which is very durable. (as u know, glass hav very smooth surface. if normal paint just spray on it, the paint will be scratch easily) so if your glass paint is normal paint, maybe there r very high chances it will have fungus as time goes by. $150 to do glass cannot be. my s/sbacking abt 18ft is more $1100. glass is defintely easiler t clean but cannot drill anymore holes next time if u wanted. so i use s/s if not my friend do glass for me will be cheaper than my current s/s pricing. btw, be careful some contractors only uses tempered glass at stove area. if u need to open power point hole need to charge extra too.
  4. oh i see, sorry to hav misunderstand you. hope u don't mind. cos i tot u type it wrong so i mention it. no hard feelings ok? cos im a direct n simple person, what color i see i think it is so please understand.
  5. though it hav been few mths o this tread, i hope to give some of my experience & thinking. try to use at least wall tile or mosiac at all cabinets area, if $ is still too tight, at least do at the stove area. rest of the wall for the fridge can use paint. kitchen sink also use tile or glass or stainless steel. when i do thingsi use to leave some options if i need to add something to my kitchen(power point, brackets or new items for hanging whatsoever) hence, i do stainless steel cos stainless can steel drill hole on it after installed. tempered glass cannot drill anymore hole. i seen some coupe do glass but they leave a about 5 inch area using wood with laminates just in case next time they need to drill holes. then the rest is glass.
  6. colorless?? how to see logo if it is colorless?? my logo is white in color. while for my tabletop i request it to print it on the thickness of the glass & coffee table is without logo cos black color glass ifwhite logo not chio liao.
  7. depend on the wall whether is it badly not flat & smooth. wall r never 100% flat. my living rm mirror done by my friend not full height don't have any problem with that.
  8. my kitchen sliding doors, toilet doors, & sliding shower screens & mirrors done by my friend xavier. email add is zhangyi_liang@yahoo.com.sg
  9. glass one will be easier to clean as it is flat & smooth surface. stainless steelhavesome grove for u to put things so it is not totally smooth surface. u need more time & effort to clean it.
