Thanks for replying. As for "good school also can produce student", in a way, this is a common sence, no shool is 100% proof. But as a parent we want to find a school which has good discipline and can produce above average students in general, for eg, in a 100 meters race, it is nothing to shout about for the coach who can produce a one time champion, but those coaches who can produce runner with good result consistenly for many runner is a great coach. If you compare the overall PSLE result betwen Harrypark Pri and other neighbourhood school, you can see the diff. in percentage. Furthermore, PSLE is very important as it will decide which or what type of secondary school that your child will be attending. Remember, O' Level, A'Level, etc, yur child can retake and try again the following year, BUT NOT FOR PSLE,if your child got a poor result, it will follow/affect him/her the entire life.... Some may think I am overly concern over primary school, but this is the true, is not easy to raise a child properly.... cheers...

Dear all, Just moved to Toa Payoh recently, an now is looking for a good school for my daughter, initially aim CHIJ Toa Payoh, but after called then got to know that they don have those parent volunteer program to boost the chances for your child to admit into their school, and since i am not a Catholic, think the chancesfor my daughter is slim. Just wondering, do you know any good school in Toa Payoh? Thanks a million... Cheers....

hi all, I engaged Lawrence from Baroque D.zign, basically he has done a good job and very responsive, althought there are times that he forgot of what we've agreed, but he is always willing to redo, or soemtiems we feel that the workmanship is not so good, and he will ask his guy to redo. Althought the delivery date been delay for twice, but comapre to those contractor that my neightbour used, i think he is very prompt already. So if you asked me whcih are the good id, i will reconmend him if u ask me lah. BUT.....althought Lawrence is good but not the electric guy(which is from another company) that he reconmend, his name is Ah Hee (92376681), not only that his price is high, the worst problem is something that he doesn't know how to do but he just act like he knows, end up damaged my wall. For eg., I asked him to help me to fix my old LCD at the living room feature wall, he said that is extra work, so have to charge me $80, so i think, ok, nevermind, since you said u knwo how to do it then i can let you earn. So when i reached home and check, i almost fainted, he actually mount the wall panel bracket to the LCD, and the LCD bracket which suppose to be on LCD, he mount on the feature wall, this end up, the LCD braket is very much expose out, and is clearly visible and ugly. Then i called and question him why install in the wrong way, he said is like that one (come on, the isntallation procedure is clearly explain on the insturction manual), then i die die ask him to come down and redo. Then the real drama start, in total i arranged with him for about 6 times, everytime i have to take leave or time off to wait for him at home, but he always never show his face, I called and express my anger everytime, but he just replied, "OK, ya,....arragne agian loh..." Finally i gave up with him and ask another technitian to isntall for me and pay another isntallation fee, now the LCD is nicely install on my feature wall, but the probem is, last time when the ah hee drilled on the wrong place and install, now the hole is clearly visible an expose...too bad, nothing mcuh i can do now but live with those hole. I am nothing personal about him, but just to share my opinion with all of you... cheers.....

Hi all, I am new to this forum, glad to know that there is a dedicated forum for Blk 79 residents, I am staying 79D, moved in end Feb. No doubbt this palce is very convenient, but i have one thing to complain is the noise, esp at mid night, my unit is facing the main road, i noticed that, during or after mid night, the driver tend to drive their car or bike is a very high speed result in the irritating sound, and it always wake up my 3 years old girl from dream. i noticed most of the time is done by the Mcdonald delivery guy, may be have to complain to Mcdonald then. I have written to LTa to feedback that there should be a road hump right before the traffic light, with that i think people may slow down the speed. not sure anyone encountered the same problem here? cheers, Alex

ya, me is same asLawry, after talked to them for more than an hr, they said give him one week to prepare the quotation and will contact me, after 2 weeks of waiting, still never get back, so decided to give the sales guy a call, over the phone, he said wil send to me immediately(on the same day), so when i check my email at the end of the day, ya, he sent me the quotation, but is totally diffrent from what we discussed on that day, he just simply sending a standard package....i find that, before we signed on the dotted line, they alread are so irresponsible, i can't imagine if i really hand them my flat for renovation. So my wife and me decided to give them a miss. but we can't deny that their sales talk is good, but followup is sucks. cheers, R.Fowler

HI, Me too, went to their office in Yishun and got the quotation now, price wise, ok, and the person who liasing wt me seems reliabe, but not too sure abt their workmanship and design. Anyone can advise?
