  1. Long time no say hi. Lol looking for possibility to rent the room at 78B that's being used by star tots for my daughter's full month and that led me back to this forum. Oh man time flies. 6yrs and going already. Hope all are well and happy!
  2. For most of us. 2nd property means a full cash since we probably have exhausted our cpf clearing our first loan and setting aside 74k is not entirely easy.
  3. Today i suddenly experience stronger water flow at the pipes. Anyone also felt that, btw i'm at 79D.
  4. Did thought of a dryer before but end up not buying cos i still prefer good old sun. My clothes can dry fast too due to the strong wind but just missing out good old sun to give it's anti bacteria shine. My block is 79D facing central. Btw to help our neighbours save some money, do open your windows for about 30min before sleeping if you wanna use your air con to cool your room. These few nights of wind are really cold and can lower your room temp substantially thus lowering your air con to run at higher power. I measure with windows slightly open, room temp at around 10plus is 27degrees..
  5. The funny thing of life.... My apartment totally no sun. No sun shine into bedroom, living room, kitchen or anywhere..... Room is cool most of the time..... But laundry needs some sun to rid certain smell and bacteria too. I am totally missing out on this part of it.
  6. Gas leak? You turn on your gas already? How come so fast? Though you only do up your capentary.
  7. will track 2 more months. dun think my bills shld be tt high. fridge with 3 ticks at low power somemore, i use gas heaters and rarely use also lol. weather too hot dun need heaters.
  8. anyone uses the car washing services in our block? Whats the rate and feedback? Also i got my first full month bill...... $80bucks for one person staying. I almost fainted. But i think maybe they took the reading this month so combined 1 1/2 months of usage. I cannot believe it that no air con, almost all lights are energy saving and usually mostly 2-3 lights on only also can cost so much. Anyway here's 3 clips to lighten up the day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpjVpl80xt0...feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijK7fY1aWdY...feature=related
  9. Wah, so unreasonable....... Think better get someone else to talk to them (u the man of the house?) If so talk to the man of that house also about putting things at the common area. (by right i think cannot put one right) If the soft approach dun work get the authorities in already. Dun need to let them know you complain but just write a general mail about items in common corridor as fire escape hazrard.
  10. Early morning TPY central got alarm trip....... end up cannot sleep until 5am. About looking out for each other, i think for a start, just go around your next door neighbour to know each other first at least you know who the family looks like. From there maybe can just get your floor members to also know each other so that can keep a watchout for each other.
  11. this sat no free again to go house hop.
  12. Yupz, the 5 year plan will have some cost savings.
  13. You want can PM me. I got tons of them at my house can just drop by to sign you up You want other companies one also can but no freebies though. Actually housing content insurance not only covers theft or fire alone. Other stuff like pet dogs extension, liability coverage, for some people they want to cover specific items, but most standard plans have per item limits and usually is 2.5k max per item.
  14. Those who did curtains for your living room (4 windows) use how many pieces? 2 large or 4 normal sizes?
  15. cozy with alot of things means need to clean up like crazy I dun really agree with the fact that ikea things are not lasting. This is a very sweeping statement. If we buy the lower range of Ikea stuff and expect them to last as long as the upper range from ikea, that is very impractical. At least now they do have quite good items say the kitchen that comes with 25yr warranty on structure and dunno what else. Some of their wardrobes comes with 10yr warranty also. My colleague bought some ikea stuff years back and commented that the items lasted well cos she bought the more exdpensive range of items from Ikea. i not from ikea hor =x
