I think if you are very sure about the specific items you want to do for your Reno you can list it down and email to multiple contractors to compare quote. When you find a couple of options that meet your budget then meet up with them to discuss the details? Prices may fluctuate upon discussion coz sometimes we may overlook certain details. The contractor I had hired previously was pretty good and reliable and I think his price was quite competitive. Can pm me if you want his contacts.

I think 1 month should be enough to complete everything since you mentioned it's minor Reno? Including replacing flooring? But you may want to start searching for contractors one or two months ahead to ensure they can start at your required date and for u to compare prices?

But normally contractors will have all the contacts no? Unless the forumer initially engaged his services for false ceiling only..?

Hi all I would like to share about the contractor I'd engaged a few years ago for my current 4-room flat and am planning to again for my new apartment. Had thoughts about getting ID initially but it seems I'd managed to save a lot of money last time getting a contractor instead of ID as I had a pretty clear idea of what I prefer, so better go through the same route again. My contractor was very humble n easy going who gave great practical advice to accommodate to my needs (I did want a lot of things for my first abode, maybe too much). He was very patient and open to negotiations and his workers were all very meticulous in their work. We find them reliable and were very pleased with our first house and would like to recommend him to anyone who is interested. Only thing is he is not very well versed in English and we had a slight delay in getting everything done, probably due to our fussiness as well. Anyway if anyone is interested can pm me for contacts.
