  1. Aside from the experience I described above, my move was to take two days at most, but in the end took three, due to LCH lack of providing sufficient trucks. One single 15ft truck to move an entire household. It meant that the same truck had to go back and forth. Also, each day the workers were different, all spoke different languages and seemed not to get along with each other well at all. Our guess, is that some of these guys were not full time LCH employees, but simply day labourers. The actual employees don't even seem too happy to work for LCH either, one even talking to a competing mover at our building, and getting the contact details to apply for a job. We too have come to the same conclusion, as has the management of our building and a few of our neighbours. Avoid LCH. Had they at least been open and honest, and made some efforts, it would have gone a long way to appease our feeling of their lack of service, but it's been quite the opposite. LCH are not a suitable company for personal household moves. Like you, I feel mostly update with myself for choosing them, and trusting their assurances that they would do a good job. For a bit more money, I could have had true professionals.
  2. Earlier this month, we employed LCH to move us from a 3br landed to a condo. Despite assurances that this would be a smooth and careful move, it was nothing of the sort. Starting the first day, with workers who did not want to perform the necessary packing and then sending photos back to LCH office, which then were forwarded back to me. However, as pointed out on the day, the photos were nearly identical to those I had myself forwarded to Jason of LCH prior to confirming the move. Never the less, we managed to agree it was some sort of misunderstanding at their end, and we progressed with the move. However, the subsequent damage to our belongings and worse yet, a major missing item, results in this being the worst move we have so far experienced. We were keen to support a local smaller company, but now only regret our decision to do so. I recall Jason even expressing he’d look forward to our recommendation of LCH, after our move experience. Unfortunately, there is nothing in this experience that would make us consider recommending LCH, especially the lack of follow up we are now experiencing. When singing off on the moved in items, it was noted on the invoice that there was damage, which can be seen in thee attached photos. Some of damage was already noted to LCH workers as the move progressed. Also, within the next days as we were unpacking, we noticed a major item totally missing. We are assured by LCH supervisor, that upon move in, we’d go over the inventory of what was moved. However, your supervisor did not take any inventory at all, so it was impossible to account for every item delivered, especially due that LCH allocated only a single truck that required multiple journeys, and LCH movers mixed furniture from different rooms. Not only has there been damage to our personal belongings, but there has been damage as well to our new rental unitl. We had just signed off on the good condition of our new place with the landlord, only to have it suffer damage to floors, door entry and closets. We would have been so happy to be able to recommend LCH to others. However after damage being noted in the final sign-off and my subsequently messaging both Jason and Yous and not have gotten any reply from them or management, we are only left to feel that LCH does not feel to follow up at all. Had LCH provided sufficient trucks, manpower and packing materials, much if not all of this could have been avoided and LCH could have completed your job in two days as planned. Typifying this lack of supply, was that LCH workers had no cutters to perform the unpacking and had to borrow from us just the one we ourselves had. We felt badly that LCH workers had such an over burden of work. LCH should not take on such a job if you cannot manage the logistics properly. Ironic that a logistics company could not manage that aspect of the move. We've complained to the company directly, but have not had one word back from them. Further, we late learned that they caused problems for our building security personal and neighbours, due the haphazard way in which they removed the packing materials within the car park. It's a shame that a company cannot see fit to at least address a clients concerns as they are happening, or follow up. Obviously we are not a client they feel they want back, and certainly cannot expect us to leave them any decent review of their service.
