  1. I am also looking for decking for my patio. I am at lost as what to choose too! Anyone with the experience please share.
  2. Yes! I'm on a quest to be green!! Actually last CNY my hubby got me two huge kumquat trees (well don't know the proper name, but you know what i mean, the mini tangerines drawf trees) Anyway, i was dead chuffed with them and was eagerly watering, fertilising, even caterpillar hunting (eventhough I have phobia..scream like mad each time i see one). Then I had a bright idea to start pruning them because i notice some new buds growing...however I over pruned it and within weeks the trees basically died!! I have two very sorry looking pots in my patio with 2 skeletal remains of what was once a luscious, fruitful, gorgeous tree...... I am still remorseful to this day oh yeah, my hubby also refuse to buy me anymore plants, he said he's helping nature in this way. (sobs)
  3. May I know where Curtain Issues are? And how much did you pay for your curtains?
  4. 3m not long at all!! Why give such a silly excuse. Sometimes I really don't understand why they try to fob us off with in this way! The width of my window is 8m!! Now, that is long.
  5. Redcrystal, I'm in awe that you manage to grow starfriuts from seedlings!! Where can I get the seeds from? Are citrus fruits easy to grow in these climates? I would love to try and grow some drawf lemons...hehe.. I am soo inspired to start planting now
  6. Max, care to share your photos of your curtains? Why are they 'just acceptable'?
  7. yeah, maybe I'll start with ferns.... I also have a large patio, so I'm thinking of growing a herb garden or tomato. My neighbour tells me its really hard to grow friut or veg in Singapore because of the intense heat at times. My patio is south facing and gets morning and afternoon sun. Any idea what kind of fruiting plants or herbs I can grow in such harsh sunlight?
  8. pls update on your curtains. Im also considering Jimmy's textile. I've had one quote from Karbell of katong mall. They quoted me $2100 for night curtains and double tracks for my living, MBR and bed1, the material is just 100% polyester! And...not lined! All my windows are floor to ceiling, wall to wall! So wondered if im being chopped cos the material is cheap!! Although I know my windows sp i expect it to cost more.
  9. I see, can they be brought for home use? if so, where can i get some? I would use them the same way, sounds logical and looks better than exposed soil. They r non toxic right? I have small children.....on second thought what if kids choke on one of these...haiz...
  10. thanks for the link, very helpfu. !! I remembered that I've seen plants in office buildings that have some brown balls on the surface of the soil. Is this just for decorative purposes or do they serve another purpose? Anyone can enlighten?
  11. um...you've lost me when u start mentioning the latin names....I knew what the bamboo looked like as for the rest...pictures pls Plus... important to add: I am not green-fingered. Many plants have died in my hands. So pref something that is easy to maintain and also hardy.
  12. Hiya, Can anyone recommend house plants, and how to plant them so that they won't attract bugs like fruit flies and mozzies? I would like some big plants because I love the greenery, but afraid of it attracting mozzies. thanks
  13. Hi Ahnah, So what is your finished product like? Got any pics to share? How did you find Noel's workmanship? If feedback is good then I would like to get noel to make my curtains. Its time to tear down my Ikea curtains and get proper made to measure!
