hehe..yeap my thoughts exactly. cant use normal paint but there are special spray paints that can be used on metal surfaces... Thought of using that.. haha..then again, thought i'd better do some research first before i completely destroy the aluminium frame...

Does anyone know whether is it possible to paint over your standard HDB aluminium balcony sliding door frame ? I hate the dark brown colour and was thinking of coating it in white paint. Is this possible ? Or is it far cheaper to have it replaced ?

me and the fiance went to them for consultation & quotation once and they actually followed up pretty promptly. the chap who attended to us was pretty friendly. they are one of the few we are considering -- although their quotation was not too expensive, we've had far better offers from other IDs as well...

Thanks BunBun & Yokine. The ID showed us the catalogues and the Supreme one was definitely thicker than the samples from other brands. Im abit wary now you're told me this, maybe I should do more thorough research. The ID could be pulling a fast one on us :

We'll be getting a flat at YS as well Blk 181 to be exact .. Should be getting the keys anytime soon ! Will most of you be replacing the kitchen and toilet tiles ? I've yet to see the flat ....but from photos, what I can tell is that they are pretty nice as it is. Some IDs we spoke to even discouraged us from spending money on upgrading the tiles as they mentioned the default tiles we've already paid for.. My FH not too keen on upgrading either but my perfectionist streak wants to make sure it goes with the decor/reno theme esp the cabinets

One of my shortlisted IDs quoted us $7000plus - close to $8K - to laminate the floor of our living room and 3 bedrooms. Granted ours was a 5 room flat (116sqf), it is a standard new flat with no existing tiling to hack.. You can imagine our surprise when we saw how high it was as we did hear that it should be cheaper than homogenous tiles. Is this the avg price one usually get quoted ? Btw, we asked for AC5 Supreme and the ID did say that it is 12mm frm Germany. But we still weren't too sure about this...
