Thank you for your kind comments. The quote include the two PD doors for both bathrooms. Each PD door price varies. I think it cost abt $400+ per for the door we chose. Kitchen door didn't do, so took out the cost. I'll pm you my contractor contacts.

Hi, maybe you can consider getting a wall fan. I've installed one in my kitchen since we have a breakfast/quick meal area, really makes a difference.

For the induction hob, there is no secret how we hide the electrical connection... This is how it looks like underneath the induction hob cabinet: Hope the above photo is clear enough to tell the story. Left hand one is for induction hob, right hand side is for other electrical appliance. Below photo is to show the wire connection to the induction hob. To use the induction hob, just need to turn two switches. The electrician did this for us more like a safety feature to alert us when the induction hob is turn on.

We installed these acrylic panels at both bathrooms boxup, prevent crawlies from coming in and out visiting us.

hi Donno,I don't have good pictures of that. Let me reply you once I have taken some photos of both items.

PD Doors Installation After the carpentry was completed, our bathroom doors are installed by this local company PD Door. Picture showing PD door for Master Bathroom. Our Common Bathroom installed the same door. A nicer photo after peeling away the plastic sheet. I think anyone who installed PD Doors need to be carefully handling them during opening and closing. No improper rough handling. When the swing portion is fully engaged to the door frame, then it is able to slide and close the door. Do take note there is a click sound when engaged.

Shelvings for Bomb Shelter We ask Contractor E to provide shelving contact. He recommend us to Kay Shelvings. We are considering between metal frame with plywood type and boltless fully metal ones. I read somewhere that the plywood type may grow mould. If the area is moist, yes likely it can grow some mould. So we decided to use boltless fully metal ones. It's 122cm wide 46cm deep 183cm high. His workers installed two racks, took 30min to finish this job. Speedy Gonzales! Fast come & go!!

I can't remember how much they charge per feet if we top up internal white PVC to the coloured type. What 50% more?! Actually it was part of the deal since contractor J & E didn't allow me to bargain down, so they offered to us free upgrade to internal (inside drawer/cabinet) coloured PVC for all carpentry. They made us happy!

Thanks! Yes you are observant! Actually we opt out the hood because we don't intend to cook heavily. We are using induction hob. no gas pipes routed in the kitchen.

I like your theme to unclutter your home before living in it. I also like the idea of keeping minimum items at home, not getting new things until its necessary.

We love the internal woody laminates too

Yup, using Opple for service yard, corrected in my previous entry. Sorry I'm not familar with the diameter of the light. Look up for how much Lumens is needed for the room size, this is the value to determine the brightness of the LED and the room size. The Taobao links I've posted will have such information, I think its good enough for me to make a decision to light up the room size. BTO flats with service yard and bomb shelter are small spaces, I think between 10W to 12W day/cool white light is more than sufficient. If you pick warm light, it will look more dim.

Yes, he added additional light point. He has to install an IC to control the light, since HDB lighting points are not able to control the living/dining area using the extra switch allocated along the walkway.

Hi Weiyan, It's not a silly question lah. They didn't install the iQuartz top until they place the sink at the cutout of the cabinet. Then they install the iQuartz top. So the sink is undermounted. Hope this clarifies your doubt.

6. IKEA LILLHOLMEN with IKEA 13W LED bulb for the Walkway 7. Opple LED 10W at Service Yard Overall I found all the Panasonic lights from Taobao and IKEA ones are bright enough for us. For the BTO 4-rm, if you are thinking to get a 20W to light up the long-ish space, it doesn't work. You'll need at least 40W. >>> That explains why I used 22W x 2 for living & entrance area. <<< For the quality of Taobao lights, buy at your own risk. Please read their reviews and ask the seller questions until you feel comfortable to buy from them. I think for the price of them, it's very worth some risk lah I have a strong feel its authentic.

Hi peachpokka, No problem. Here are some photos. 1. Panasonic LED 22W for the living room 2. IKEA RANARP with Philips 9W LED bulb (dining area) I chose this for the cozy feel, especially some days I want a romantic dinner at home. We wanted this pendant light as the additional light point. But somehow it was not communicated when the electrician came to install it. The electrician installed this as one of the main light at the entrance area which is not bright enough. We wanted to keep the HDB original light point for the main lights. Maybe it's my drawing not clear enough for them to understand. Yet I ask Mr E over the phone the day before installation, he say he understood!! 3. Panasonic 14W for Kitchen 4. This light is same as No.3 (for bedroom 2 and 3) 5. Samaire Ceiling Fan installed with 3 colour LED 20W

We wanted lights to install very much earlier. "Where is the electrician? When are they installing lights for us?" These questions kept coming till one day Mr E arranged the electrician to come. "Aiyoh! I can't take leave suka suka one you know!" And yes indeed the best time the electrician arranged to come install lights is when I'm not around. So I marked on all the lights... All our lighting fixtures are from IKEA and Taobao! And they are all LED. Save on my monthly PUB bills I had spent many hours reading and researching Taobao what lights are suitable for the different rooms. For the Taobao lights, I was quite fussy with the colour temperature from the LED, I don't like the artificial white, that looks like blue type of light. I decided to get the Panasonic ones, since they spec it as 5000K, which is daylight white. I try not to have too much cool daylight since it looks like a factory I also purchase some light bulbs during the recent Philips Carnival Sale at Toa Payoh. Goody! Kitchen top is placed on top. Not even installed! Smells fresh! Mr E requested us to deliver our induction hob and sink to their factory so that they can cut the wood and kitchen top. A look of the induction hob, sink and kitchen faucet is finally installed. The iQuartz top chosen is iPure. It has small tiny dots on it, can't view from photos here. Me kiasu & "lack of trust" so I went to find out from iQuartz to double confirm its iQuartz not other brands. Got a reply from iQuartz to get some pictures from their Live Updates.
