CarolWilks 0 Report post Posted January 14 Hi, I had a question I wanted to throw out there for some of the really heavy cannabis users. A little background, I'm in my late 40s, I'm a fairly responsible adult, live a healthy lifestyle but use cannabis between 0.3- 0.5 gram, twice daily for mental health and overall well-being. The flower is in the 25% THC range and I prepare as edibles. I've been using on and off for decades and have developed a very high tolerance to cannabis. I now don't really get the kind of psychedelic type effects from cannabis anymore that I used to when I was younger and smoking recreationally. I know if I take a tolerance break even a few days, a week, for example, I will get much higher from THC accompanied with many of the additional psychedelic-ish-type effects that are generally absent when I'm using regularly. I should also mention I've tripped about a dozen times off LSD and mushrooms as a teenager So with that in mind, on to my question: Recently I've been experimenting with some GT's that a friend has grown. Mostly in the 1g-2.5g dry range with 7-10 days in between. I'm not on any meds and take on an empty stomach but I've found that the experience is underwhelming, more like a micro/mini dose in effects. Even with 2.5g the most I'd feel is a very slight shift in consciousness but nothing pronounced. Others have had trips from the same batch in the 1.5G range. Just wondering if heavy THC use might be responsible for inhibiting some of the range of effects that mushrooms can produce? If anyone has any experience or insight I'd be grateful to hear your thoughts Thanks in advance!
SherlynPadilla 0 Report post Posted January 15 If you’re trying to build energizing wellness formulas without any hazy side effects, thcv isolate powder has been a solid pick for me. The high purity and clean hemp source make it easy to blend into supplements or edibles without fighting odd flavors. The bulk pricing also helps if you’re scaling up, and the third-party testing gives some peace of mind before you commit to a bigger batch.
angelous666 0 Report post Posted 5 hours ago I’ve actually dealt with something sort of similar since I’ve been using cannabis daily for a few years now, especially edibles with higher THC. It’s wild how your tolerance just creeps up and you barely get the same effects as you used to, even with bigger doses. When it comes to mushrooms, I thought I’d get rocked at even a moderate dose after not using psychedelics for a long time, but honestly, my first few times back felt pretty mild too. It took several tries, even with decent batches, before I finally felt the full effects and got that classic trip. I do wonder if being used to strong THC could make regular mushroom trips feel weaker at first just cause your brain’s so adjusted to altered states. Anyway, if you’re around DC and ever want to mix up your routine, DC weed delivery options actually have some collections with both high-potency cannabis and mushrooms to explore, which might give you some new combos to test out.
